EnviroCore is Epic's extremely tough, strong inner core.
It makes Epic harder, denser, and greener than comparable solid hardwood flooring and engineered hardwood flooring with softer plywood cores.
Why EnviroCore?
 EnviroCore allows for greatly improved moisture tolerance over traditional solid or engineered wood flooring. The ability to install on, above or even below grade which isn't possible with 3/4" solid products. Optimum product stability and Ultra straight boards.
Environmentally Preferred
 EnviroCore is Shaw's high-density core board made from recycled post-industrial wood fiber. Made in the USA with wood harvested from well-managed domestic forests. EnviroCore is found in Shaw's Epic products and uses 50% less newly harvested wood than convention 3/8" engineered flooring.
