Flooring from Shaw to be Featured on New TLC Television Series

Dalton, GA - Shaw flooring is being used in several homes featured in TLCs Moving Up, a new 15-part series hosted by popular TLC designer, Doug Wilson. In four different episodes, Shaw carpet and ceramic tile have been installed and are featured as an integral part in the home make-overs that are the focus of the show. The products were selected by the individual homeowners in each episode.

Moving Up is based on the sensational success of two of the networks existing shows, Trading Spaces and While You Were Out. Like its predecessors, the new prime-time program focuses on home decor, as each episode follows a chain of three families as they purchase - then renovate - each others homes. The homeowners are visited and filmed every few weeks to show the progress of the renovations. Six months after the move, the dramatic transformations are revealed.

Viewers are able to follow the homeowners as they re-design their new homes to suit their personal decorating tastes, watching the numerous design choices and renovations that are undertaken. Adding an element of surprise to the completed projects, the homeowners visit their former homes to see what changes the new owners have made. Some choices reflect bold design decisions: One homeowner selected a leopard print pattern from Shaws Wildebeest carpet collection for her bedroom.

TLCs Wilson was Trading Spaces most popular designer, and the show is expected to catch on quickly with audiences. In addition, the hour-long Moving Up is scheduled for a prime-time slot at 8:00pm on Saturday nights. The episodes in which Shaw products are features are Operation Renovation, Nixing the Naughty Room, Faux Finish, and From Brothers Rest to Mothers Nest. Descriptions and dates of specific episodes can be found on the networks website, http://tlc.discovery.com.
