last month I had one of the worst in-home sales experiences I have ever had with this company for any home-improvement and I've owned a home since 1998. Employees and sales people are the face of the brand. James came to our house. It was bad enough that he had a very uncomfortable way about him. He literally just stared at me blankly when introducing himself. It felt very uncomfortable. He asked literally no questions about what we were looking for in terms of color, style, price, or the range of other questions I might ask to gauge a potential customer's interest. Instead, he simply slapped down a number of sample swatches on the floor. All of which were way darker than I would ever consider. He kept going out to his vehicle to bring in more. Hmmmm. Should I trust someone that encourages me to simply lay wood down over my existing flooring? Why would I want to do that? He stressed how much money it would save. He didn't ask enough questions because saving three dollars a square foot was not really concerning to me. I want to job done right. He measured and then quoted a price that was literally two times the amount I was previously quoted for high-end wood flooring for a laminate flooring. Why would I pay two times retail for laminate when I can have wood? This isn't the worst part. James asked if he could use the restroom. He did. About a half hour after he left our home, I heard water running and couldn't figure out where it was coming from. More time passed...... finally I go into the bathroom and it's so steamed up in there it's like a sauna. I couldn't figure out ---was it the toilet? what was it? Well it wasn't the toilet, he left the hot water on full blast. In fact it was on for so long the mirror was steamed over.....In a drought. To make matters worse the restroom smelled terribly. I'm not sure what happened there???? In fact at least 30 to 60 minutes later it still smelled----that way. By the way, in the "interaction" he kept stressing that certain choices were in stock and those were less money. Is this not a store that can order what a customer wants? And maybe next time you should find out how much price is a factor in a customers decision? Saving two dollars a square foot because it's not in stock in your store is not really a driver in this decision. His card says consultant. We received absolutely no advice or consultation from him. Nothing on the advantages or disadvantages of different choices. Even if he was giving me flooring at a dollar a square foot I would not have bought from this guy. So in the end James must have concluded that shelling out over $20,000 would be a problem for us and started suggesting the financing program. He even made a special trip to the car to get the application. I'm prepared to pay cash for this, so again, poor needs assessment. At this point I was so ready for this interaction to be over I told him we would think about it. Now I'm not only really put off by this experience with 101 flooring, I am disappointed with Costco. The reason I got hooked up with this outfit In the first place is that I called Costco - why? I anticipated they would align themselves with the Premier company in the area. Boy was I wrong. My advice for 101 flooring: If you're going to represent Costco you better send somebody out that presents well, knows what they're doing, and can connect with people, ask questions and recommend product. My feeling on this... it's not James. But I'm guessing you send out your best people to handle the Glen-Garry leads- If that's true -warning to all.

last month In my many years as a consumer, I have never seen a business blatantly engage in such shady business practices as Flooring 101 Oxnard does. I can not overstate to other potential customers of Flooring 101 Oxnard --- Do Not Do Business with These Unscrupulous People! Here is my story. We decide to put wood floors throughout our house. We ordered a high-end wood floor through Costco and unfortunately Flooring 101, Oxnard was the Shaw floor subcontractor. In February 2016 we wrote a check for $17,000.00 to Flooring 101 Oxnard and set a date for the install. They show up, do a moisture test (which was fine), do the job, floors look beautiful, everyone happy. Well about 4 weeks later, a HUGE floor buckle appeared in our family room. I called the salesperson who came out to the house. He was very helpful and got someone to come out in a couple of weeks. Problem was not enough glue and the floor was put in too tight. The repair was passable. The buckle was essentially gone, (a perfectionist would not have accepted the repair because there was a slight lift) but my husband and I are not picky people and we were ok with it. If only we had known what was to come. In November 2017 the floor starts lifting in the living room and in the same area as the original repair in the family room. It keeps getting worse, so I make a claim on December 16, 2017. As of today, they have sent out 3 people to inspect the floor buckles and an independent floor inspector to look at the floor buckles. So many inspections-- nothing accomplished and absolutely no communication with us. The last straw was on June 27, 2018 when an employee named Johnny set us up for a repair--which you guessed it-- was another inspection! So, begins the phone tag and avoidance game with Johnny, Brandon, Hannah and whatever person answers the phone. But soon they even stop answering the phone when they see my number. Finally, I get the elusive Johnny on the phone and he basically says they are not repairing the floor because the moisture content might be high. Hmmm, interesting answer. I try to get a hold of the GM, Ian and none of my calls are returned. Well, now I filed a complaint with Costco and next will be a complaint to the BBB. After that possibly small claims court. Flooring 101, Oxnard is the epitome of poor customer service and I hope that Costco will soon stop using them as a contractor.

Your check was paid to Costco, not Flooring 101, and both Costco and Shaw are working on this claim with us to get a resolution. 3 months ago While doing a home remodel my wife and I were told of Flooring 101 by friends and we couldn't be happier with there service. We were greeted by Roman at Flooring 101 and he was more than helpful in helping us pick out laminate flooring he was very informative and had all the time needed to find the exact laminate. Their prices are more than competitive and selection is second to none with 100s of choices. When we picked a laminate we asked who they would recommend as an installer both Roman and another customer said at the same time Cesar Bernal of CB Flooring we couldn't be happier with Cesar's service he installed 1520 sq' of flooring and did our staircase witch came out better than we ever imagined just gorgeous. We highly recommend Flooring 101 and Cesar Bernal, thanks again Roman and Cesar for your great service Dan and Irene

3 months ago Absolutely horrendous customer service. Once you buy from them they are through with you. We have been trying to for the last few months to get someone out here to check our floors for a warranty issue. Roman finally came out a few months ago after several calls and messages left with no return call. He took several pictures and said he would get back to me AND NEVER DID. I have tried in the last month to get a hold of him. Messages left saying they would call me back. Never a call, always busy, multiple voicemails left. Finally caught him on the phone a few weeks ago only because he answered the main line. He apologized and said he would take care of it and made a few calls and said it was rolling with the company and he would keep me updated. Never called with any update. Multiple call backs and voicemails again and messages left with the front saying he would call me. He never did. Called yesterday and asked for a manager around 2. Surprise surprise they were all busy and I was again told one would call me back and they took a message. Did I get a call back? OF COURSE NOT! I will never shop here again and warn all friends and family to stay clear of this place.

3 months ago We have been planning to put new flooring in our home and didn't know much about cost or the different flooring material available. We made the initial call and Roman helped explained the process and options available. Roman scheduled Sebastian their estimator to visit us and take measurements to give us an accurate estimate based on the materials we discussed over the phone. We went to their warehouse showroom to see the material that the estimate was based on. We were impressed by the various flooring options. We went back the following week to put down a deposit and schedule installation. Since we have pets we went from the original moisture resistant laminate we selected and upgraded to a waterproof vinyl wood like flooring. Saul helped us on our second visit and after upgrading to the vinyl we were confident we made the right choice. Both Roman and Saul are knowledgeable, personable and very professional. On the scheduled day Julio the installer showed up promptly in the time window that was scheduled. I asked Julio when the rest of the installation team was showing up to remove the old flooring and install the new flooring. It was shocking at first it was only 1 installer. Due to the installation and size of the rooms he assured me only 1 installer would be sufficient. He made a believer out of me. He was efficient, professional and joyful as he installed the flooring and trim. I would rate him more as a craftsman than an installer. He worked through the day until he had completed the entire project in a matter of hours. The paid attention to detail and we couldn't be more satisfied with the entire experience. We are planning to due the rest of our home in the near future. Only one place to call - Flooring 101 Oxnard ! Thank you .

4 months ago This was the worst experience I have ever had with any company. We ordered luxury vinyl floors due to a recommendation from the salesman that came to our house (We were originally in the market for real wood). The selling point for the vinyl was that it could be installed over an existing tile floor without any demolition. We questioned that there was no floor prep involved (leveling the surface before laying the luxury vinyl) but we were assured that this was the benefit of installing this kind of flooring. This turned out to not be true but it was only the beginning of our problems with flooring 101. We were told that the installation would take 1-2 days but at the end of the first day, it was discovered that the salesman James did not measure correctly and did not order enough of the flooring and they had to reorder more. We had to wait two more weeks for them to get the floor and come back to install it. Immediately after the first day of installation, we could tell something was wrong, the floor was not laying flat over our existing floor and you could see it visibly moving as well as hearing every step. It felt like walking on cardboard. We reported this to flooring 101 and they made the excuse that the floor needed to "settle". The floor never settled and we called and called flooring 101 to come back and deal with this and they kept trying to ignore us. Luckily we had bought this floor thru the Costco program and this is probably the only reason why they eventually came back. Now once Flooring 101 realized they had to choice to fix this, they insisted that we had to pay more for taking up the floor they put in and leveling the floor (the exact concern we were assured would not be an issue when we signed the contract for the job) and that they could not tell us how much it would cost. Faced with the choice of suing or paying extra for the leveling, we reluctantly agreed, their sales man thought that it would be $200-$300, but it turned into $3,000. They didn't advise us of this cost until they took up the floor they installed, took a hammer and broke the original tile floor underneath (this was to start the process of the leveling but it was also past the time we could have made a decision to refuse the work). The only bright spot in this ordeal was Costco. If Costco wasn't involved, I am certain that Ian and Flooring 101 would have forced us to sue them for a refund. Costco refused to let them off the hook and they paid us back for most of the extra work that we originally had to pay for. In the end, this project took 7 months to complete (instead of 1-2 days as promised) and went 40% over the contracted price. It took countless hours on the phone to track them down and Ian always tried to blame someone else. Ian even lied to Costco telling them that we wanted the cheapest floors possible because we were selling our house (completely made up lie). I would take note of the pattern in the reviews on yelp for this company to see that we weren't the only ones that were overcharged and lied to. Don't waste your time with these fools.

I understand your frustration with the delay in getting your flooring replaced - this was a result of our processes in working with a 3rd party, and I apologize. Our goal, working with Costco, was to install your floor correctly & to your satisfaction, which required extensive preparation to your existing floor that was made clear to you prior to replacement. We worked with Costco to upgrade your floor at no cost to you, and Costco refunded you $1,500 toward the cost of floor prep. If there is anything else we can do to give you satisfaction, please let us know.

4 months ago I'm a student at America's Teaching Zoo at Moorpark College & our animals love playing with cardboard carpet tubes. I called on a whim to see if they had any that they were going to throw out and they happily donated some to the zoo! I walked in at 5:59 (sorry haha) and Sebastian spent 20 mins cutting up all the tubes so they would fit in my car. He definitely went above & beyond to gelpThanks so much Sebastian, the animals are going to have lots of fun with these!!

8 months ago After posting the below review, the company contacted me to check on my satisfaction. We used Flooring 101 August 2017 to redo an entire house, through Costco flooding. The pricing was ok, the install was ok, the communication was so-so . We prepared the house by removing all old carpet ourselves, and floor was ready for install. There was some strange communication problem between us, Johnny and the install crew. We had a date set and we were ready, Johnny called the night before saying he couldn't get a full crew to do the work on install day and wanted to change to Saturday (which wasn't ideal for us) but we accommodated. After the install crew were finished the lead worker said he was disappointed that we canceled on Friday because the crew doesn't like working weekends! Johnny told THEM that we had canceled! Strange and unappreciated by me. Also we never heard a peep back from the company after the install to even check to see if we were happy with the work! Lacking customer service after the sale, for sure. Still haven't heard back in 1/2018. The flooring is mid grade vinyl plank. Some cuts are iffy and some seams not tight... but we will see over time if they get worse. I just expected a stellar install for $7500. And it's very average. The crew was courteous andtime and cleaned up nicely.

8 months ago Is there a 0 Star in yelp, i guess not, Only option is 1 :( Avoid it like plague. I had James come over for Vinyl Plank flooring estimate. What a rip-off. I had 3 different estimate done all came in same Vinyl plank flooring, all estimated 580 Sq Ft total area with 15 steps around $5200-5500. I heard flooring 101 though CostCo so I though of it as legit company with professional and honest work. It turn out they estimated around 750 sq ft, maybe James forgot to calibrate is laser measurement device, I measure with simple measure tape and came out exactly 560 Sq Ft. They wanted to charge me for 200 Sq Ft extra, rolling my eyes over it. Not to mention they measure it flooring wrong, which they should do it right as this is what their business is based on, but also their quote was almost 40% higher (to be exact quote, $8440.00 for 560 Sq Foot for Vinyl Plank Flooring where you snap in planks - I don't want gold flooring LOL) then many other company. Being Costco partner, I figure to pay 40% lower then market but in this case you tend to pay 40% more then other competition. If Costco sees this, please consider other company as this company charging way more than other local company.

9 months ago Used this company to install laminate flooring in two rooms. The flooring itself was properly installed at a fair price. However, the company admitted that they forgot to give the trim pieces that go against the tile to the installer. They set up an appointment for another day to bring those pieces to install. They confirmd the appointment the night before. Then never showed the following day. They set up a subsequent appointment for another day. We again confirmed the night before. That morning after arranging to be home from work, they said the installer could not come again. Very poor customer service when called to complain. Low-level employee said no managers were in town that day to talk. Obviously, we'll never use again, and recommend that others strongly consider avoiding a company with customer service that is this poor.

9 months ago While the end result was ok, getting there was a nightmare. I had a problem with the installation of the stairs with a vinyl laminate floor. The product was not what I had asked for. That can happen. I scheduled 3 installations, asked them to call me to confirm the time 24 hrs before, because I live 75 miles away. They DID NOT. I wasted one trip up there. I would have made 3 more trips for nothing if I had not called them the morning of each rescheduled time to confirm. They had an excuse for why they weren't going to be able to install each of the 3 times. I told them I lived 75 miles away. All I asked for was a confirmation call 24 hours in advance. They promised return calls and didn't follow through. Even Jereme who had been consciencous when I was ordering the flooring dropped the ball. The manager of the Installation team, Johnny, dropped the ball, when I arrived in person to try to get this resolved, Ian the "big manager" was "in a meeting" and would call me back. He didn't. Only Roland who picked up the phone the day before my last scheduled time, followed up. I WAS NOT on the schedule for the next day. Roland called the installer, called me back, asked if I could have him come earlier than the scheduled time (which I agreed to) and they finished the installation. This took 6 weeks. Just for the stairs. If you do decide to use them, DO NOT pay in full. My only recourse was that I owed them $5000.

10 months ago I have used Flooring 101 twice in the last couple years and highly recommend this company. When you go in ask for Josh. He is incredibly professional and thorough. He will follow up to insure everything is taken care of, providing excellent service. When you have a large selection and best price with excellent service, it's a win win! I am someone that needs to shop around and both times I feel like I wasted my time because I should have gone straight to Flooring 101 first. Don't forget to ask for Josh.

The prices were way better than Lowe's and Home Depot and they are right here in my hometown. No need to go out of the county to get discounted prices. Huge selection at unbeatable prices.

11 months ago Great customer service! We needed to find laminate flooring to match what we had on our stairs. There was none in the store, so Josh took the time time find some online and ordered a sample for us to try. It was perfect!! We had our flooring ordered and installed within two weeks. Josh was very professional as well as all the other employees we dealt with at this store. I would recommend flooring 101 to anyone!!

11 months ago Great experience with flooring 101! We went in to discuss putting hardwood floors into a house that we were buying and Roman went over all options with us and introduced us to an incredible vinyl plank that you would swear was wood (republic flooring, great Oregon oak). We hadn't considered vinyl, but given that we have two little kids, I'm so glad he showed it to us. I felt that their prices very fair, and they were very accommodating as we had to reschedule a couple times due to other construction issues at the house. When we were finally ready, they scheduled us right away and we worked with Javier for installation. He was so kind and accommodating - we still had other people working in the house finishing up projects that were supposed to be completed prior to installation of the floors and Javier totally worked around them without a problem. He also fixed a serious issue we had with our floor sloping. We were told that putting anything but carpet in a certain area would not be a good idea due to the sloping, but we asked Javier to take a chance to see if we could do it. He came up with a patch for the situation and you would now never know there was an issue in that area! Everything looks fantastic and they left everything clean. They also did a great job removing our tile floors. It's only been a few weeks, but my kids have spilled liquids, colored with crayons on the floor, dragged mud in, and played with their toys all over the place and everything just wipes right up without an issue! Definitely recommend Flooring 101 as well as republic flooring vinyl planks!

The installers were fast, courteous, detailed and flooring makes my office look bigger, cleaner and professional. They even came on a Saturday and got it all done in one day with their crew. 12 months ago I would NEVER recommend this business. We have a problem with our floors and they admitted. It's been 7 months and still no response. They do not answer calls. I was going to sue them until I looked on the Ventura County Courts site and saw the number of others who have sued them. They keep continuing court dates and the consumers get no relief.

last year So sorry guys I hate leaving bad reviews for local business, however, that said How I managed to put up with what a nightmare I went through just to have a staircase installed was just so unacceptable. Looks like an attorney will be involved before this is settled. Installation was great when you finally got around to it. Over a month and a half later. I missed 2 days work over scheduling. Get your act together. Passed the buck from person to person when no answers available. By the way carpet is A-1 which is why I went there in the first place.

last year I can not speak for the rest of the staff but Russ is great. He listens to what you are looking for, has endless patients, and is very knowledgeable. He helped us find carpet for our first house and we loved it. Now we are looking to him to help guide us on different flooring options for our new house.

last year They did a great job providing & installing around 600 feet of Provenza Uptown Chic LVT in my place (removing carpet & laminate as part of the process). Jereme was very helpful & responsive throughout, & the bid was in line with others I received in Ventura County. I liked that they install & guarantee the materials themselves since most others I checked with use subcontractors for installation who often don't guarantee their work. I'm really happy with their work & my new floors.

last year What can I say about Flooring 101? The choice was awesome! The quality perfect! This was the 2nd time Flooring 101 did my downstairs floors. First, the kitchen and dining. Because the floor was so beautiful, I decided to do the living room and hallway. This was a tricky task since the floor had to be a continuation of the previous install. Saul Munoz was expert in his dimensions, verifying minimal waste and a seamless install. His customer service was perfect and professional! The installers were so accurate, removed the baseboards (so it would tuck under), and reinstalled them without a scratch! I am SO PLEASED with the quality of the work and the professionalism of Saul and his crew! Saul even took the time to explain the best ways to clean the flooring, what products to use and how to keep it looking like new. Thank you Flooring 101!!

last year Carpeted our new home this past week. Roman and his installers where fantastic from start to finish. * Customer service in Thousand Oaks were great, Roman's estimate was thorough and on the money for cost and value * scheduling was easy and on timeline I needed (fast), even with a special order carpet * my install: mostly empty house, plus long curving stairwell, 6 rooms, 7 closets, hallway, all in one day * stairs are gorgeous with fine detailed tucking under the lip * cleanup and departed without a mess * follow up call fantastic. last year This is my third interaction with Flooring 101, having had them do a light blue carpet upstairs and downstairs when I first moved in, and then redo the downstairs after a pipe burst. After three years, and a few tenant pets, we decided to try hardwood everywhere and a thicker grey carpet in the bedrooms. Jereme, at this point a family friend, was again a pleasure to work with and brought samples right to our house when we got home from work. He ordered everything the next day and had a team of nine come to the house to get the job right the first time. Due to the complex nature of our house, they had three specialists return the next day, a Saturday at that, to ensure fit and finish to completion. The guys were excellent and went above and beyond for us. See the results in the picture section under Mandalay Shores beach house. Oh yeah, and the price is unbeatable. I highly recommend you call Jereme and get yourself a real wood floor from Flooring 101 of Oxnard.

last year UPDATE: As of August 11, 2017, there has been NO response from the owner of Flooring101. Underlings have evaded my phone calls as well as my personal visits. There is currently NO resolve to to their defrauding me by substitution of low-grade wood for my premium hardwood flooring. Shameful, just shameful! LOTS of Trickery Going on Here... At a cost of $9921.99, I purchased US Floors Castle Combe hardwood floors by special order from Flooring 101. Castle Combe is a premium first-quality hardwood flooring product. I paid in full with honest money and expected to have a pleasant experience. Flooring 101 delivered to me old, odd lots and remnants from US Floors manufactured over a 9 month period, mostly dated 2014, in various hues and wood tones. I immediately challenged this and was told "wood flooring is a natural product and there are variances." (This is the beginning of the Charade.) I brought several pieces to Flooring 101 and compared them to the sample they were completely different in pattern, distressing, hue and tone. In their presence they could not continue to cite "natural variances" and then Flooring 101 stated they would file a claim with the manufacturer. I was told by Flooring 101 this was unacceptable and that the Flooring 101 owner, general manager and manufacturer's representative were all involved to correct this. After seven weeks of stopping in and calling Flooring 101 and being told there was no reply yet on my claim, I became impatient and called US Floors directly. I was told there was not claim under my name in their files. I asked if there was a claim in Flooring 101's name and I was told I could not be given the results of a claim that was not mine. (Looking at previous reviews for the Flooring 101 stores I see this "Manufacturer's Warranty Claim Charade" has happened previously and they feel it relieves them of liability.) So let them tell you they are a CostCo approved Vendor, of their many locations, their dedication to the customer and then receive odd-lots, remnants or seconds in place of your first-quality honest money purchase. Let them try to blame the manufacturer, or the installer but delivering what you purchase NOT second rate goods is their responsibility. I am sure this is a wonderful way to increase profits! The facts here are: I paid honest money for premium first-quality hardwood flooring. In its place, I was delivered an assortment of old, odd-lots and remnants -- FRAUD This was a special order so someone switched out my first-quality hardwood for remnants -- THEFT. I was lead to believe this was the manufacturer's fault -- LIES Months later -- I have lost 1000's of dollars, I will need to remove the odd-lot flooring, replace the sub flooring that will be damaged by the removal, repurchase first-quality flooring and reinstall the floors. Oh, don't forget, I won't be able to live there while this is done, and I'll need to pack up my stuff and go through the installation process again... Move on Yelpers, you don't need to chance it. Please read the reviews for their other locations too. Shame, shame, Flooring 101, everyone will know your name!

Unfortunately, in this particular case, the allegations made by the customer in the above review are inaccurate. The customer declined Flooring 101's efforts to assist him. He issued a $9,921.99 chargeback with his credit card company in October of 2016. It was most likely assumed that the charge would be reversed by the credit card company and the floors would be kept free of charge. The credit card charge had been in dispute for several months, but recently resolved in Flooring 101's favor resulting in the resurgence of the customer posting negative reviews on 03/26/17 and multiple visits to our store. Flooring 101 provided the credit card company multiple written correspondences, including the manufacturer's documentation verifying that the purchase was a special order of first quality goods. The credit card company found no validity in the customer's position. Despite this, Flooring 101 is still willing to help him. Flooring 101 is an established, well-respected business with honest practices for over 45 years. We do not welcome, nor do we condone fraudulent activity. These are the verifiable details of the case: * The customer purchased the wood material only with a credit card for $9,921.99. * The customer hired his own installer and refused to provide any information about his installer. Flooring 101 did not provide any installation services. * Flooring 101 did not deliver any material to the home; the materials were picked up. * The customer was dissatisfied with the color variations in the wood flooring. * The installer did not follow the installation instructions provided by the manufacturer on the cartons. These cartons clearly state to not install wood that visually causes concern. * The installer installed wood flooring materials, even though the customer did not like the color variation. * The customer did not allow Flooring 101 to inspect the wood flooring. * Simply based on the customer's dissatisfaction, Flooring 101 offered replacement materials. * Flooring 101 provided samples to the customer shipped via FedEx from the manufacturer that were specially picked from a pallet and placed on hold for the customer, pending his approval. After the customer picked up the samples, he stopped returning any calls or responding to any written correspondence. * Flooring 101 sent four letters confirming the availability of replacement materials on 10/04/16, 10/14/16, 10/24/16, and 10/28/16 (4 letters), to which the customer did not respond. USPS confirmed delivery of the final mailing, number 91149012308036101041200. * Flooring 101 purchases all of our special order first quality goods directly from the manufacturers. * The credit card chargeback was returned in Flooring 101's favor. The customer has now reinstated correspondence with Flooring 101. All of this is an unfortunate occurrence in which our numerous attempts to resolve the matter were rejected. This incident is not the type of positive experience that Flooring 101 strives for and that thousands of our customers have experienced in Flooring 101's over 45 years of being in business.

last year We recently replaced all of our original carpeting with engineered hardwood ( over 1200 sq. ft. ). We had shopped around quite a bit to find the kind of flooring we wanted at a reasonable price. We finally struck gold when we went to Flooring 101 in Oxnard. Saul Munoz is the epitome of customer service. He showed us many options in the type of wood we were interested in, explained the installation methods and processes, and he himself came out within a day to do the measurements. During the installation, he popped in a couple of times to check on the progress and to monitor our satisfaction. The installation crew, headed up by "Pancho", did a truly professional job. They worked long days to get our flooring done in the shortest possible time. The job was complicated due to matching existing wood flooring, and change of direction in the layout for appearance reasons. The crew cleaned as they went, and worked around heavy furniture that could not be relocated due to rainy weather. I would recommend Flooring 101 to anyone who wants quality flooring products and professional and courteous service at a reasonable price.

last year This company is the real deal. So refreshing to find such excellent customer service, attention to detail and professional installation. They came when they were scheduled. The team was done installing 4 rooms of quality flooring and baseboards in 4 hours!!! AND $1,000 cheaper than the company that advertises a "sale" on T.V. half off labor and materials. So helpful and the final result is perfect!! We're very pleased to recommend them to anyone.

last year I was recommended flooring 101 by a friend. Then I was recommended Roman and flooring 101. I got ahold of Roman and he is very good. We had a long process with a re-model, removal and installation of 3 different types of flooring. Every time I called for a question, Roman was right there with a solution. Flooring 101 had guys come out to fix little issue we had, very good service. Then 2 years later, we had an issue with the warranty of the floor. Flooring 101 and Roman were right there, and they really made the floor right. I had way more interaction with flooring 101 than I thought; and I each step of the way, they were right on it. Thanks to Roman and flooring 101.

last year "I wasn't going to write this review the first time you requested but I have rethought that decision. I was very pleased with all my purchases and installations and my salespersons in the last 2 to 3 years. Our floor is beautiful as is our carpet. We probably spent $12,000 plus at your store. Why am I displeased? I recommended you to a friend who had a simple request. It didn't require any of your time or effort on your part, just a honest and simple answer. Because he had not purchased his carpet, years ago, at your store, your rep wouldn't give him the time of day and was rude about it. For that, you will not see my business again. Again, my answer to the first question below does not reflect on my salesperson but on the person to whom my friend spoke to."

2 years ago 06/15/15 Wonderful Company from Salesman to Installers. Great Service. The Installers were very polite and helpful. The workmanship was outstanding. They did a perfect job. I highly recommend Flooring 101. We had our whole house done with Laminate flooring. They took careful care to make sure every inch was perfect, even in the closets!. They arrived on time and finished whole house in less than 2 days. Clean up was done. Very Happy with Installers!

We shopped around for several weeks for the floors we wanted and couldn't find anything that we could afford without compromising on the integrity of the product. We stopped by Flooring 101 and met Roman. He was very helpful in showing us various flooring products. We were delighted to find THE perfect wide plank, 5/8 inch rustic flooring by Naturally Aged. Tony and his team worked very hard to demo and install the floors in just 2 days! (Approximately 1500 sq ft including stairs). They were on time, hardworking and perfectionists in their trade. 3 years ago It's easy to give a great review when everything goes right. It means more when there was a problem. We ordered a new wood floor and carpeting from Flooring 101 through Costco. We chose the wood from a sample. When 35 boxes of wood were delivered for the install, it really wasn't right for the house. Harry Harmandjian jumped right in to save the day. Their only concern was that we be happy when the job was done. They took back what we didn't like, and expedited delivery of a replacement. They were able to get over this bump in the road while only delaying the install by a few days. Superb customer service and genuine concern for their customers. Like their motto says, It's all about the customer. Kudos to Costco as well - I've found that you can't go wrong using their providers, and Flooring 101 upholds that reputation.

3 years ago We used Flooring 101 to install laminate and carpet in our new house recently. Not only did they give us the best price around but the customer service was the best around as well. We worked with Saul who was very patient with us even after we changed our mind on the laminate color we picked. They worked with us to get the floor installed before we moved in and even got the floor installed for us on a Saturday. The floor and baseboards look amazing and went in in one day. I can't say enough good things about the floor and carpet or my experience with flooring 101! I will use them again in the future! My floors look amazing too!

3 years ago I have used the Oxnard location of Flooring 101 for several years, and have recommended to friends. It's always nice when your friends are delighted with your recommendations. Saul is 'the man' there. I have worked with him on two different flooring projects. He is very knowledgeable and helpful; he has steered my decisions in the past and I have thanked him every day for one of his recommendations. He could've made more $$ by selling me a more expensive product, but his suggestion was perfect. Their installers are very dedicated and got a crazy job done for us on Thanksgiving Day so we could meet our deadline. I would give them 10-stars if I could.

3 years ago Ian, the general manager, came to our home to try to resolve our issues. We were not abandoned, however, the loose laminate remains a problem. We will wait and see if the floor "settles down" as we anticipate. Hopefully, we will love our floor as we did in February!

From the start we had Jereme helped us and walked us thru everything. He was quick to respond back to calls and text and made sure we were 100% satisfied with our install and floors. 4 years ago Fantastic Experience! We worked with Harry from the Oxnard store. I commend them on sticking to schedule even with a few unexpected interruptions (heavy rain, 9x9 asbestos tiles under our carpet). We pulled off a whole-house re-floor which removed our carpet and installed hardwood throughout. All of this early December. Harry pulled through and kept the proposed schedule which allowed us to enjoy Christmas with our new floor. I highly recommend the Oxnard Flooring 101

4 years ago I called last week to make an appointment for today at 3:00pm, as I was told this was the latest they can come out and give me a quote. I took a couple hours off of work to meet them. They never showed up, or called. I called them at 4pm and was told I made an appointment for 4:30pm. Not the case, as I was told 3pm was the latest. After being told the estimator was at a call and would be on his way to my house next, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. They never showed up or called me. I'll be taking my business somewhere else.

4 years ago We had wooden floors installed throughout the house and were extremely satisfied with the results. The installation crew were very efficient and did a high quality job. The work crew took every precaution to avoid any damage to newly painted walls. I have recommended this company to other people and friends. We used this company, over other four others, mainly by the great recommendation from a friend who used their services on two homes.

They came on time, cut the wood to fit perfectly, made sure we were happy with it, and cleaned up when finished. We would definitely recommend 101 Flooring.

5 years ago We were referred to Flooring 101 by Costco. We had obtained a quote from another flooring company, but Flooring 101 gave us the best price. Moreover, we knew Costco backed them. We received wonderful service from Harry, our consultant. He gave us good advice, he ordered larger samples for us to help us decide on the color and generally did everything to insure a good outcome. The installers were great as well. They arrived on time, had us check the carpet before installing it, and did an excellent job matching the seams on our patterned carpet. The seams are nearly invisible (if we didn't know where they were we wouldn't have found them). We were so pleased with our experience and the final outcome that we invited Harry back to see how it turned out.

I did the laminate flooring for my business a few years ago and it's holding up well and I just did flooring in my home and I was impressed with the quality of workmanship and efficiency of the installers.
