"Jill was fantastic helping us pick out the vinyl flooring and carpeting we wanted and stay within our budget. She deserves 5 stars; I highly recommend her. Installation was adequate. The vinyl flooring installer appeared to be rushing, although he installed the floor just fine. The carpet installers managed to put a couple of divets in the walls and failed to tack down the carpeting adequately in the master bedroom. The main reason for my 3-star rating is that the Nourison remnant we bought was not stored properly in the warehouse during the 3-month delay we requested while we dealt with my mom's passing. Consequently, there are lines in the carpet that make it look flawed. FCA came out and steamed the carpeting, telling us that the lines should disappear in 12 months. Still, the carpeting currently does not look as stunning as it did in the showroom."

"We have not installed our tile yet, but the shopping experience was wonderful. I was not set on what I wanted. I pointed out what I liked and the sales rep showed me similar option and the tile I fell in love with for our bathroom. Everyone was super nice and the amount of choices were great. We almost settled for choice at our local big box home improvement store. I was able to run ideas past the sales person and she was able to give me recommendations on what would look good together and other tips for tiling our bathroom floor and bath area."

We live over an hour away from FCA. We are decorating our fixer-upper, and were looking for rugs. Kate helped us both with physically moving the large rugs and with design help in picking the best ones. We purchased two and have been so happy that we drove back to select tile for our fireplace surround. Highly recommended!

If you are in need of some solid customer service, this is the place to call - and ask for Mike Bell!!!! I had an *extremely* negative experience at the Naperville location (head over to that specific location's Yelp page for full deets), and called the Joliet/Shorewood location in hopes that someone could help me. Though I started the call nearly in tears due to frustration, by the end of our call, Mike Bell had turned me into a happy customer! Long story short: I was under-quoted at the Naperville location, but didn't know it. When I called to order, I was told the order couldn't be purchased at my quoted price. Mike Bell was able to figure out what happened (systems weren't updated - I was quoted an outdated price, but it was still valid in the system), honor that price (literally was only a savings of $30!!! Seriously, Naperville?!), and process the order in less than a day. He even called several times to ensure I had received everything - and I welcomed his calls! He was great to speak with, and clearly a veteran in the industry and with FCA as well. To top it off - Mike quoted us a 10 Business Day turnaround time, and our order was fulfilled in less than 5! Highly recommend business through Mike Bell!
Sorry to have to give only two stars...Our big project started out good, sales person was great, and we thought this was the place we would fill our remodeling dream with. We had all our flooring replaced. We purchased hardwood, carpet, and vinyl, big job, big money. Carpeting Install went well. The rest started out promising and we then felt they dropped the ball. The job took longer than expected, which was fine but it was then I felt they just kinda lost interest in us. The floors were installed and then there were a couple of days of nothing until our installer came back for the finishing touches. Old beat up quarter round was put back and looked hideous against the new hardwood, (I was under the impression we were to receive new quarter round). Blue tape was left on the wall, several dark scuff marks on the hall walls, and closet doors were never put back in place. I'm still finding spots where pieces have not been replaced. I really can't believe they left the job like this. I wrote them a letter letting them know I was disappointed with how this all ended up. I, too, felt they were unapologetic and justified all the issues presented. What ever happened to the customer comes first, not here! I am moving forward with more projects such as window treatments, basement and garage flooring etc. and it's too bad they are not on my list, they could have been.
After investigating the above review, it has come to our attention that this particular project was installed by the customers installer that had noticed water damaged on the sub floor that needed to be addressed. The installer replaced water rotted quarter round in the powder without altering their total. The reason doors hadn't been replaced after being taken off is the simple fact that the hardware for the doors had been moved from the spot the installer originally placed them, and when the client was asked to produce the pieces so the installer could complete the job he was never called. As for the old quarter round, the salesperson resolved to offer the client a reduced price on materials for new quarter round when they voiced their discontent. However they did not wish to pay for new materials and we were therefore unable to fully resolve the issue. All in all, it was a large project and those important finishing touches were more expensive then the client was willing to pay. This on top of the fact that communication was split regularly between husband and wife causing confusion.
Floor Covering Associates in Shorewood is over priced. The sales girl did not want to spend time with me after I told her I was just looking. Once you buy tile there they will not take it back. They will only take back what they have in stock and charge you 35% stocking fee.....what a rip off that is. Will never go back!!!
Ms. G's review of FCA is 2/3rds correct. She is correct in saying that whenever a visitor says: "I just want to look" we believe it is common courtesy to not hover but to leave her alone to "look". She is also correct in writing that for special custom orders FCA does accept returns of full unopened cartons subject to the supplier's handling or restocking fees. Obviously these fees do not apply in the unlikely event that the wrong material has been sent. She is incorrect however in her assertion that other retailers sell the same products for half of FCA's price. FCA is very competitive in pricing and we pass that on to our consumers.
This review is about eFloors.com, which seems to be the Internet store of this retailer. On the positive side, their prices are very good which is why I chose to order from them. On the negative side, there was a lot of problems with my order: A) The tile that I ordered was not in stock so it took an additional 2 weeks to ship the tile. B) The tile arrived broken. I would normally say that this would be the fault of the shipping company, however the tile was packaged very poorly. It was 50 lbs of tile which was cushioned only by Styrofoam peanuts. I'm surprised that anyone in the tile business would ship tile that way. C) Processing my refund is taking a long time. They said 2 weeks and it's been over that without a word. I sent several e-mails asking for updates and they are not responsive. Finally when I called my credit card company to dispute the charge and they got back to me. They seemed to be unapologetic too. I guess they don't really care about their customers.
FCA Floor Covering Associates appreciates any feedback or suggestions that our customers supply us with but after researching our system we have NO record of your order or of doing any type of service at the location you mentioned.

I originally gave FCA a good rating, but after a mistake (their mistake) was made and I found out I was not getting the $300 rebate they said I was getting, even after writing to the owner of the company and receiving back a condescending letter, I have no respect for them. I have no complaints about the materials they put in my house, I just regret I gave almost $10,00 of my very hard earned money to this company. I would suggest looking elsewhere first.

It baffles us that this customer knows that she did not buy Karastan Carpet. Yet she persists in demanding a Karastan rebate from us. If you buy a Lexus you are not entitled to a Mercedes rebate. We work hard to satisfy our customers and while we certainly value this customer, we have absolutely delivered everything that we were contracted to do.

We got our kitchen done through FCA. It's beautiful! After looking around, we found that they were comparable to everyone else. One guy came and installed it in a day and a half. He was nice, and precise. My only complaints would be that Aaliyah, the girl at the store, wasn't there when we went to pay. She told me she would be there till 4, but wasn't there at 3. Another woman came in looking for her too, she got the commission, but didn't do any of the paperwork! Also, definitely pay for them to move your furniture. We scratched our floor 2 hours after having it installed when moving the fridge :(. I thought the vinyl plank would be more durable. It is nice we don't have to worry about water damage on the vinyl though.

Recently had tile and carpet installed in my home. Worked with Adam and he did a good job about getting everything done in a timely manner. Was able to get the installation done on my day's off which worked perfectly. They were priced fairly as well which was great. Will go back to them for our future needs.
