Have dealt with this company many times over years and will be returning. Had a rough start with ordering as we wanted the price revised from original estimate but after that they kept in contact with us and flooring was installed beautifully in hall and master bedroom (a job that was a bit too much for us as seniors) Looks great and well satisfied.

We have used Crest many times over 15 years. This last time customer service was horrible. A simple fixable problem was escalated due to 1) no one returning our 3 phone calls, 2) no sales person or sales manager understanding the problem, and 3) the president of Crest emailing us with an inaccurate and nasty email.

I loved the initial help I received in choosing what would be best flooring for my needs. I love the flooring I picked. The removal of old flooring and installation was good. I feel there are a few questionable areas of what was done(far left & right side going into laundry area that clearly was measured incorrectly) and sounds that the floor makes in various areas that were not expected. Over all I am satisfied with everything.

Had the flooring replaced in the kitchen. We went with a natural 3/4 inch oak floor to match the rest of the house. The experience was positive from the sales person John, to the in home measurements by Jeff,the scheduling by Ralph and the installation by Tony. Another great experience with Crest! We recently had a spare bedroom carpeted. The entire team was exceptional! The reception associates were very friendly and helpful from the time we entered the showroom. Our salesman, Ian, handled the process of getting the carpet we chose ordered quickly, answering all questions & keeping us in the loop. Jeff, always friendly & knowledgeable, came to measure the room (and did an additional room for a future project. Efficient, huh!). Ralph, called us a short time later (slightly over a week) to schedule the installation; which worked out to be days after his call! Our installation was done by brothers, Cain & Ben. Friendly & professional. AND THEY CLEANED UP! Thank you Crest Flooring, once again, for a seamless (pun totally intended) process. See you again soon!

Fantastic from start to finish. We were looking for carpet for our closet makeover. Not a big job but Crest Carpet treated us as if that didn’t matter. Ian helped us as soon as we walked in, recommended we look at some remnants considering our project. We found a beautiful Berber at a great price. He wrote everything up, Jeff came to measure and scheduling installation with Ralph was a breeze. Carpet installation went perfectly. Everyone did a fantastic job. Highly recommend.

Gentlemen did a fabulous job on our new vinyl plank flooring. I was a contractor, retired, and they did great cuts and didn't spend time on phones which can be a problem with some contractors. Did job in timely manner with few breaks!

I am very unhappy with my floor and stair installation !! I have bulging areas through my vinyl flooring from the nails they used on the sub flooring. The bulging started shortly after the installation. They cut one on my stairs to short and broke one of my banister rungs and didn’t tell me about it. I discovered it myself! Poor workmanship on all accounts. I would not recommend them to anyone. My repairs have not been completed as of yet, and my stairs were started November 1 2022. I am VERY disappointed about my stairs, flooring and the handling of my project!

I'm a younger guy and wasn't dressed the best I guess, but when I went in the secretary and basically everyone except the salesperson looked at me and my similarly aged and dressed friend like we were aliens. I guess they aren't used to young clientele in t-shirts. Then we were told, after we paid, the guy that sews the edge on carpets to make them into rugs works 2 days a week for 15 minutes a day and it would be weeks to a month until we could pick it up or have it delivered Really weird experience, never felt more out of place in my life. Decided to get a rug at Ollie's instead.

Purchased Shaw carpeting 3 1/2 years ago, and a line or flaw appeared. Took pictures, that Shaw wanted to see, apparently it's still under warranty. Crest came out to look, didn't think it was an install problem. I was promised they would let me know, that was months ago. I know the outcome, neither crest or Shaw, will stand behind this or fix the problem. Never ever buy from them again.

Disappointed - the carpet is kind of cheap looking and the padding - I would guess they didn't put any in it is so hard. I have bought several thing from Crest (hardwood floors for large room, carpet for entire basement and office, etc) but doubt I will purchase from Crest ever again. Also, installer took bifold door off and wasn't able to reinstall leaving me with a mess.

We purchased carpet for our stairs and a remnant for the children's play area. The carpet on the stairs is great, but we had some issues with installation. Crest did come and fix the issue. The remnant was sealed on the edges, but there are big humps/gaps in the carpeting, almost like it wasn’t flat when the edges were sealed. My husband tried calling several times to have issue fixed and we were told to weigh it down or re-roll it for awhile and try again. The humps are still there on the edges and my kids are always tripping on it. I would not recommend crest to anyone else at this point.

We have bought carpeting and hard wood flooring from Crest Flooring for several areas. The salesperson, Jamie, was very helpful when we had questions. She presented options and the pricing. The quality of installation was excellent. We are especially pleased with carpeting on the stairs and hard wood in the hallway. The hard wood covers wood that was too thin to refinish. The project manager recommended adding edging to make it more finished. He arranged for that to be done and it looks great. Highly recommend Crest

Crest Flooring was wonderful to work with from start to finish. My elderly parents were having the majority of their carpet replaced in their home. Chris answered all my questions and Ralph worked with me, their out-of-state daughter, to coordinate the timing with installation. The install team of Max and Rich was absolutely fabulous. They worked quickly and efficiently and they worked around the needs of my medically challenged mother. They moved all the furniture exactly where instructed and they cleaned up after themselves. not at all happy with this company ,poor response time, installation of a seam between the hallway and bedroom not to my liking ,another installer sent out,and said it was the best he could do .$11,000.later I still have to look at a seam that is not right.Person who took my final payment over the phone could care less about my unhappiness over the poor job on this seam .Never again will I go with this company

Yes the seam with the small pattern between the hall and bedroom did not turn out well. So we sent another installer to see if he could do better. Mrs. Larson is correct in stating he didn't feel he could do any better. We did not stop there and prior to her writing her negative review, we had two other men to her house and made the seam much better and acceptable to Mrs. Larson. Since that time I have emailed her requesting that perhaps she could amend her review...to date I have not heard back. S. Weisberg, President

It took forever to get my piece of wood fixed in one of my bedrooms. Also the threshold. The major think wads charging us for work that we did and Ralph was told ,by us that we took out our rugs , got rid of it and we took of the baseboards. That was over one thousand dollars that if we didn’t check our previous bill you would have gotten from us. Because Ralph didn’t take that off the bill.

We had engineered hardwood floors put in for our entire downstairs area. The men who did the installation did a phenomenal job and we love the flooring. Very professional workers and with only a small hiccup, it was done in a very timely manner. We were however disappointed that we never heard anything more from our sales rep at Crest after purchasing the floors. This was a big undertaking for us and quite costly and we would have hoped that he would have called to follow up... make sure we were happy, there were no issues, etc. We did not receive a call or any other form of communication until this survey. Our floors were done 3 months ago.

We recently had the experience of having all our carpet removed and new carpet installed. This was not the first time we had to have this done but it most certainly was our most pleasurable experience. Not only were the salespeople knowledgeable and aware but they kept us within our budget as well. The installer Max was top notch friendly and extremely good at what he did. We were told it would take two days Max was done in a day and a half... All our furniture was put back in place and the place was left spotless. I would highly recommend Creast flooring and give a shout out to Max our installer he matched a pretty intricate pattern to a tee..... Thanks once again Max and Crest flooring

Their overall service was horrible. I purchased flooring to be installed by them. Their installers payed the new floor over the old one. Their were large bubbles and when I complained, they came back and said this was normal and left. I complained again and was given the runaround. I finally had to literally go to the store and threaten them,stating I would not move from my spot if something was not done. They then gave me a choice of three discontinued styles of laminated lo...oking wood to choose from. I was told it was a upgrade in quality for no extra charge. They came and installed it overtop of the floor they had installed first, stating that is how it is done. The floor was installed for six month and it is buckling and popping up in various spots. I now have three floors down and it looks worse then the original. Never, ever will I recommend Crest Flooring to anyone! See More

We paid over 7500 dollars for our whole downstairs to be replaced and installed. Our installation crew had a few hiccups but had great customer service if we ever ran into a problem and got the job done at the end of the day till we were happy, all thanks to Carlos. But Ralph the “head guy” over at crest flooring has the WORST customer service I’ve ever seen. We paid thousands of dollars for what is suppose to be great service and he tried charging us even more to have them finish up in front of our doors the right way after we spent months on months not having our floor finished because it kept having to be ripped up. He claimed that it was because we didn’t pay for molding to be put up and that’s what they consider in front of the doors (literally asking for only two doors). Well how about when we took down all of our molding, then got it put back up after we thought the floor was done being installed to find out it all had to be taken down again because the floor had to be redone. So who had to take down the same molding that was just took hours to put back up? We did. Did we ever complain about that or make them put it back up when they are the ones who messed up installing our floor in the first place, no because we weren’t going to make a big fuss about it even though that takes hours of work to take down, put back up, re nail holes, fill in holes, caulk, and then repaint AGAIN. Talk about no accommodation for customers. Would never recommend this place to anyone. To reply back to your comment. Actually we did not nail anything into the laminate but that was a nice try. You higher people who don’t know how to cut laminate properly and didn’t give it room to expand when being installed, so it binded. Like I said, it was not Carlos who made the fault but another employee. Carlos even admitted that the employee messed up when installing around the corners and he’d fix it the right way. So what other lie do you want to try and broadcast to the internet because I see plenty of 1 star reviews for your business. .

We graciously accept the reviews people take the time to write; we appreciate 5 stars as much as 1 or 2 stars. We smile at the good ones and learn from the not so good. Crest Flooring, like you, is not perfect; we persist in our efforts to better ourselves with the disparagement that comes from the not so good reviews. What is not mentioned in this customer’s review is the reason why the floor had to be redone. As stated the customer installed their own trim and when they did, they nailed molding into the laminate and not the wall. This will prevent the wood product from expanding and contracting and therefore creating an impingement which in turn created a service call for spaces between boards. In order to make the repair the entire floor had to be reinstalled and the moldings removed first and of course replaced after. So Crest gets chastised for the customer’s mistake and our employee is scolded for horrible customer service because he refused to supply and install different moldings at their doors for no charge. We in turn give this customer 1 star.

Run away from this place! Shady management. Sold me a (expensive!) area carpet (4x8)..($900)...I told them on day of purchase it looked damaged on one part...3 salespeople and ta carpet ‘specialist’ assured me it was just a crease, and would go away. The carpet started, literally, falling apart. We left numerous messages and emails about it. (But they were shut-down due to pandemic.) Once they opened we brought it in...and they said “we know that was not from the crease, and ...you did it.”...I asked the owner to call me about it. He didn’t. I’ve called back again asking for him to call me. I was told he will not call me, and that I damaged it. On the day of purchase, the 3 sales people assured us that if the crease didn’t ‘come out/go away’ or if it has any problems it was guaranteed and they’d take it back.( it was a Karastan). Also, a few years back they installed a nice carpet in my basement (again, Karastan.) ...you could see the seams where the carpet ends meet, all over. Even though the sales rep assured me the Sean’s would be hidden—and most importantly—he sold it to me explaining that they will place those seams in lower traffic areas, and under some sofas...but the installer had them go down the center of every open area. I learned the hard way, (twice!) to stay away from them. See More

We had set up a job for carpet install in our entire house. Two bedrooms, living room, and hallways. Initial experience with sales was fine. Knowledgeable on the products and was able to find us what we needed overall. Short of a small issue initially with a delay on our first color choice all seemed well. Appointment scheduled after measurements were taken. The literal night before the install 5 minutes before they closed they told us one of their install crewmen had covid symptoms and couldn’t make it out. Okay, very disappointing but understandable nonetheless. But here’s the problem. Since it was the 11th hour we already had our whole house torn apart, old carpet ripped up, furniture moved around and out of place. The folks at crest gave us NO resolution. As I said it was 5 minutes before closing when they told us, and we were basically left with a “sorry but your beat” mind you we already paid 50% for the job upfront. So with no response on when they could reschedule it left us with nothing left to do but just ask for a refund. The gentleman I spoke with was very upset with me, hung up the phone multiple times on me and otherwise was just super dismissive on the whole process. Thankfully when I showed up to get my check back they did return everything. I just wish from the very beginning the conversation was framed as “were very sorry we can’t make it today but we can do x or y to rectify” instead it was always framed as “sorry we can’t make it sounds like that’s your problem though”

Mr. Heckler, Thank you so much for taking the time to submit a review. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience of giving such late notice about canceling your installation; in the world of COVID-19 things can change on a dime. We were just about to close for the day when we received a call that the lead installer scheduled on your job had to have a COVID test. You were called immediately as we morally could not send an installer with Covid like symptoms to anyone’s home. All of our other crews were scheduled and it was next to impossible to get someone to your house that same day. We realize that rescheduling appointments creates many inconveniences for both sides, and we are sorry we could not meet the expectation of having someone there that same day. In the end, we felt that giving a refund as you requested was the best thing to do. With this situation escalating within 24 hours, we would have loved to have had the opportunity to install your flooring. As it turns out, the lead installer found out the next day that he did not have COVID and we would have been able to complete your job the next day. Sometimes patience is a virtue.

The only reason I’m giving this review is the response I got when I called . Our carpet was installed on a Saturday the carpet looks great except the doorway. The installer refused to end in the middle of the doorway . He told my girlfriend that not how he does it . She felt intimidated she was home alone because I had to work. We were having laminate flooring installed following Monday and wanted the transition between the two floors to be covered under a sill plate in the middle of the doorway. It’s very frustrating that I had to cut brand new carpet that we paid close to a thousand dollars for and it was not a big room. When I called the response I got was there’s we can do now. Call me back on Monday and email me pictures. There no concern for anyone’s time we went 3 times before the installation and I had to leave work for two minute for them verify measurements . This is just very frustrating.

Choosing our new carpet went easily: color and pile quality is great. Scheduling the installation, no problem as was the actual installation. The installer was right on time, all work was clean and neat and appears to be have been done right. However, there was one nail left hiding in the pile in the bedroom doorway that we kept stepping on until I found it and removed it. I have no idea why there was a half banged in nail left there. Although no harm was done, there could have been some bodily damage.

And you are correct and we're happy it was a simple remedy. The nail is called a 'stay nail' and holds the carpet in place until it is seamed or finished with an adjoining room.

this was by far my worst carpet install experience and quality of workmanship! I've installed much smaller rooms myself, and think if it wasn't the fact this room required a seem, I could have done a better job myself even without proper tools. EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED!!! I've already had installers to my house three times for the same job and still have issue. If you are reading review before you buy....all I can say is RUN FOREST RUN! YOUR REPLY DOES NOT EXPLAIN HOW THE ENTIRE CARPET WAS INSTALLED CORKED TO THE ROOM. A HORRIBLE SEEM JOB AND STAIRS THAT WILL LOOK ABSOLUTLEY HORRID AS THE CARPET STRETCHES!

The installation is in a basement and the carpet is to be glued to the concrete. Our pre-installation check list advises customers to keep the rooms at a temperature of 65-80 degrees. Our crews arrived as schedule but the basement floor was much too cold for the adhesive to grab. So we left the carpet on site and rescheduled 8 days later. The job was completed; 4 days later we received a service request stating there were bubbles under the carpet. (typically a result of glue not adhering completely) Because Mr. Laflair requested we service his issue on a Saturday, we returned as scheduled about 10 days later but could not complete the work because the instrument being used broke on the job. We requested that the heat stay on and for him to lay some weight on the areas in question. A follow up job site inspection has been scheduled for an upcoming Saturday with our general manager. So while things did not go as we or the customer would have liked, there could have been better results if we would have had suitable environmental conditions from the start. Not every job goes as planned, but in this case, we have responded admirably and hope to rectify the problem if it still persists after following our instructions.

Less than zero, had consistent customer service issues from day one of my install: 1) tiles backordered and never notified us, delayed the job 2) didn't send enough sub-floor, delayed again 3) three boxes short on wood flooring, delayed again 4) pre-billed us on the financing and floor hadn't even been installed 5) Owner never called me on 1/28/2 as promised 6) on 2/8/21 I had to follow for a status 7) 2/10 I had to follow up again to confirm install was told they call at 5pm, yet the first time I was confirmed I got the call at 3:29pm The flooring at the end of the day came out beautiful, thanks to the installers, but the customer service is horrendous. Even after it was all done, the owner still did not call personally to make sure I was satisfied. Instead he had someone else call for the balance and tells them to tell me they'll send a gift card. REALLY!!!!!

Yes sometimes things just snowball and get ahead of even the best of us. We, as you know, are very sorry how things played out; we are taking steps to come up with a system that will allow us to keep customers better informed when situations such as yours occur. Some of the issues you mention were beyond our control but we know we could have kept you better informed even if we were relaying unpleasant information. We were very happy with our salesman Ian. We absolutely love the floor we purchased and had installed on Thursday January 21 but we're not very happy with the job done with the installation of the quarter round mouldings throughout. It wasn't a very professional job for what we paid for the floor. We called our salesman the morning after the job was done and was told we'd receive a call to schedule a service call but as of Monday evening we haven't heard from anyone. Did hear from someone on Tuesday but it's a 2 week wait until someone could come. So I am taking care of the issue myself. But as I said we love the floor.

We did process the service request that was called in on Friday the 22nd. Our service department received it on Monday the 25th and should be in touch with you shortly. An interesting observation as the rolls in our warehouse represent a good amount of the samples shown throughout the store. Buying a new car is easy to compare, the same model 'lists' for the same price wherever you shop. Carpet is unfortunately not as transparent. All that said, we've been around for over 68 years and pride ourselves on proudly posting our prices and always having them be very fair.

Absolute waste of time. Rude receptionist. Went to the showroom to talk about flooring for a commercial office space. Mind you, there are pages on their website advertising commercial flooring and even offering pictures of their work. I was sent upstairs to talk to someone named Sue who very awkwardly informed me that they are no longer doing commercial floors. No apology or recommendation as to where else I could go. Let me stand there as she looked at me and said “I’m going to pass.” Wow! Just wow!! (Also don’t know why Sue felt it appropriate to ask me what I did for a living... 🤔)

Came in contact with one of the drivers of this company after they proceeded to do a Illegal U-turn and almost made me crash my car when I had to swerve into the opposite lane. Reported it to the company with the plate numbers and vehicle and doubt anything will happen. Terrible driver, I’m surprised he’s even allowed to drive a company car. Glad to know they don’t have safety for the road or my children’s safety when he did that.

The in-store personnel were great. The price was good. The carpet fin and the scheduling very cooperative. The installers weren't so good. They took long, and frequent cigarette breaks. Carpeted over some in-floor registers leaving an opening, but with unbound edges that I felkt were a tripping hazard. I was able to maneuver the register out through the opening and place it on tolo of the rug. My main dissatisfaction was with the seems, which became quite obvious in just a few months.

We didn't have a good experience with Crest Flooring. From purchase to initial install - there was no communication from Crest to us when the 'estimated' install timeframe was missed. Only when I called was I informed that there wasn't enough in the 'lot' that arrived. Other communication later was better, but felt I called into Crest more than I was being communicated to. Finally after install we had product quality issues due to cornrowing. The carpet was replaced by Shaw, however it's still not up to the quality level I expected from Shaw/Crest. I am disappointed in the quality of the carpet - i still see lines of cornrowing in the second install - not as bad -- but still I don't want the best thing I can say is 'at least this isn't as bad as the stuff they replaced' about my purchase. Overall, I was all on-board with using a local company instead of Home Depot, but the outcome was no where up to the level I expected when I walked in the door at Crest. We now wish we went elsewhere and could not recommend Crest Flooring.

The carpeting met all of my expectations. The installers arrived as promised and were professional and courteous. They moved furniture and put it back as contracted and other than having a brand new carpet, you would never know that they had been there.

Love the flooring, both vinyl plank and carpet that was installed. Installation was beautifully done. As far as financing not Happy At All. Due to an error in poor estimating, was required to pay additional $1200!!. As a result we will not even consider buying from Crest Carpeting again. Lost a good customer. For 68 yrs in business Crest should treat a customer better than this.

the floor went in and looks good, but had to wait 4 weeks for the trim???? When I called to question why it was taking so long, the trim was apparently there. Installation was sch'd immediately for the next business day. ( For all that money the trim should have been painted to match the existing wood. )The trim was cut on our front step (in the rain) and we had sawdust all over our step, new flooring and tracked up our stairway inside. The "brochure" I was told I'd get with "care and maintenance" we always get with carpeting and flooring we didn't get. I questioned him about it, and all he had was a page where he had his measurements on, that contained some info on care of the floor. It was in the rain and got walked on, but is was something. Disappointing.

Ordered the carpet. No problem. Had an entrance that had tiles on it Mrs. didn’t want any longer. I removed tiles the night prior to install.On removing tiles I found a large hole under them in the cement floor. We called the store to warn them.;No problem was the answer. Men came to install and were surprised of the area.Said they didn’t know and couldn’t fix it same day.They used extra foam under carpet.After we came home looked at area we were not pleased since we paid extra to have that area fixed at sale of carpet. We called but got no satisfaction from the call.Secondly I can not prove it but something of mine was missing from behind my bar when I got home.

Sales person was excellent. Installation different story. Was rescheduled 3X, felt they kept bumping us back to a different installation crew. There is a seam in MasterBR carpet. Most of it is under bed, but 3-4' is not. This might be due to the fact that the didn't remove the sleep number king bed out of the room which I had been told they would. Instead they slid it back & forth. Was not working properly after the left. I had to take bed apart and reconnect parts. Also, 2 door stoppers were broken off of baseboards. Used toilet which is fine, but left seat up and DIDN'T flush it. Would like to do the other 3 BRs this winter to match,but will want better installers.

Don’t use Crest Flooring. They damaged our tile floor while installing carpeting and refused to help fix it. They also installed a carpet runner on our staircase and both the quality and installation of the carpeting are inferior. We made a big mistake using Crest Flooring!

Wow. What a fantastic experience. After speaking with the "overnight" guys and having a terrible experience we went into Crest to see what they had to say. We spoke with Chris who helped us find the exact type of laminate we were looking for. It was higher quality for about half the price of the "overnight" guys that advertise on TV. The sales experience was amazing. Collaborative and helpful, exactly how you want it to be. The pricing was clear and 100% transparent. The installation went just as well! The guys were on time and ready to work and got the job done in about half as long as we thought it would take. They made some adjustments along the way that resulted in both a better finished product and saved us a few hundred dollars. In addition to being good workers, they were friendly, polite, and a pleasure to have in our house for the day. I truly can't say enough nice things about Crest and will definitely be a return customer.

Last flooring job I feel was rushed. I have issues that need to be resolved, but I haven't heard back from anyone. Trim was left undone, I have a gap between the flooring and the trim where there is no floor, one piece of trim was cut incorrectly and left a gap, a transition piece was not put in on one closet and one transition piece is all chipped up. We have been customers for over 10 years, but disappointed with this last install.

Good experience. We were doing a major renovation and just needed the reconfigured master closet carpet replaced. The rest of the house has been carpeted by Crest in the past. They made it easy. Picked out a suitable remnant and they held it for a few weeks until we could install. We'll be back for more selections in the future. They are easy to work with and have a good selection. Installers did a good job.

PROFESSIONAL... is the only way to describe my experience at Crest Flooring! My consultant Jim Kurtz took the time to explain the difference between what I saw at other flooring stores and the product he suggested for my home. The price was fair and competetive. Then came the installation and Crest continued to impress. 3 serious professionals who came on time, were friendly, presentable, and did a gorgeous job. I'm very pleased with my flooring from Crest. I've used this company before and have never been disappointed. Work was done well and on time. The installers were careful, hard working, respectful and did a fine job. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the installers were not given all the information they needed. Some of the flooring was to be done on a bias, for which I paid extra. The installers did not have that information and a few other details. Also I think the amount of time required to complete the job was underestimated because the installers, who worked very hard and with few breaks, were rushing toward the end of the job to get it completed. The materials seem to be just as expected. All in all I'm quite satisfied with my beautiful new floors.

They are the best. The employees, especially Jaime, are very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. I took a small kitchen runner to them to have only one end cut and bound, thinking it would maybe be too small of a job for them, but they happily accepted it saying "no job is too small. They do jobs of all sizes".

Great Staff. They worked with me to make sure I got what I wanted and needed. Purchased a waterproof option for my basement. They sold me an amazing glue down tile. The installers were courteous and did great work. I thought the prices were very good for the quality of material and service I received.

You did very well, the customer Service person we talked to did a fantastic job of getting us the carpet we asked for. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that we have not purchased carpet in a long time and should have purchased a better padding. Not a problem but believe a better padding and that would have made everything work better to our liking.

Very helpful in picking the right carpet for us in the basement. Picking a color not an easy task. Staff didn't get upset as we changed our minds on colors, size and cut out. Two men came for carpet stretching, very helpful and pleasant. We will be back to replace current carpet in house.

Never having bought carpeting before, I have to say that my experience at Crest was a very pleasant experience. Chris walked me through the steps of selecting two different carpet types, having measurements taken, and installation. He also followed up after installation to get my feedback. Carpet is great, but we were not happy with the condition the house was left in. Understand that they had to remove old carpet, but the hallways and steps were left with dust and debris. Two bedrooms that they carpeted were freshly painted, they left two walls with sticky brown residue on them, woodwork and doors were scuffed and marked up.

Floor looks wonderful. All grout lines are straight. The border in the bathroom is not glued properly and was reported. We have not heard about someone coming out to fix it

Communication was a little lackluster and felt we had to argue to have corrections made. In the end Crest accommodated are concerns and the corrections were satisfactory. Happy so far with the carpet and hardwood but a little disappointed in the install.

Hi folks, Overall we're very pleased with the quality of materials and the install. The crew was able to put down carpet (2nd fl) and LVP (1st fl) in 2 days which was terrific as it allowed us to continue with our work in the house. A minor issue we've come across is the lack of finishing trim in a couple spots. This took us a few weeks to notice as we've been busy finishing everything else. Right from the start, in the showroom the staff was very helpful. It took some time to pick the carpet, we took many samples home and returned them for more. After we decided it was not long till you installed it. The installers were very polite and respectful. Can’t say enough about them. All in all I would and have recommended your services to friends. Man who measured was courteous and efficient. Carpet installers did a good job but there was an issue with a bent molding that took several calls to return to install. Our consultant was not impressive. Upon reviewing our bill there were two discounts we were told about that were not deducted, she offered little help in the choosing process and although we stated we wanted the old carpet taken away she did not include that and we had to pay out more money on installation day for it to be removed (an oversight on our part as well).

Sales was great. Installation fell flat on their face, and I did not even get a response from business. As it stands I was still overcharged for work they didn’t do and they can’t explain charges added that should have been there originally. Their installers left without notice second day of install. We had to call to find out that his girlfriends car broke down and they wouldn’t be back to finish. Meanwhile there was carpet all over basement and we had a tenant moving in next day, which they knew! So they are supposed to come back that Monday to finish, installer shows up, calls in front of our tenant and says he’s not staying. It was more work than he was told and they had to reschedule AGAIN! I was beyond upset as this was all to be done before new tenant moved in.

That doesn't explain why the business office has yet to call me as I was told to discuss the charges and correct the overcharge on the disposal. WE disposed of the carpet in the basement due to the issue found, not crest. This was NOT adjusted and I have still not received contact about this. I also asked for detail explanation of the extra charges, because all the extra stair costs were charged originally and then not done. When will this occur? My next step is to stop in and meet with someone!

I called today I spoke with two professional receptionist at this establishment. I bought carpeting and material myself to hopefully get a cheaper quote for them to come out. I couldn't really afford there carpets. So I call today and politely asked if the company installs carpets. Obviously they do. But not MY carpet I bought. Instead they want you to buy with them and everything. I suspect so they can up charge you. The 1 star is based on this fact alone: (My thought) Crest flooring installs carpet and flooring (Crest flooring thought) we only install OUR carpets and flooring. If you have deep pockets. Crest flooring is for you. If your a little guy and hardworking to provide your family, look elsewhere.

This review is a absurd...Of course we only install the products we sell since that is exactly what we do! There our companies that ONLY provide installation services and you can Google any number of them. As far as our pricing goes, we provide extremely fair prices as evidenced by the many, many reviews that state so. Sometimes we as the company who read reviews written about us have to respond by telling it like it is! This review is absurd!!

Excellent installation team...prompt courteous, efficient etc, Value reasonably good. However, have lost a bit of the personal aspect over the years and beginning to act like a large impersonal organization with very little flexability.

Yes, but we had problems with the sales person, bad information and with the person that came out to measure the room, We had the sheet from the last time we purchased carpeting from Crest, but he measured bigger, the part he added all had to be cut off and discarded.

One of your people had measured the room the last time Crest installed carpet for us, we gave your sales person that invoice, but this person that came to measure it added the 8 inches to the width of the room, that needed to be removed when the young man came to install the carpet. We have been doing business with crest for over 30 years, this is the first time that I felt that we were being ripped off or some one was trying to take advantage of us elderly people.

Again, we sincerely apologize that you felt as though you were taken advantage of, but can assure you that we do not take advantage of anyone young or old. We truly do help our customers as best as we possibly can. Looking at the invoice that you brought in from September 1996, it shows the measurement as 12x19.03 inches. The new measurement from April 2018 was 12x19.06 inches. The extra 3 inches (0.25 ft x 12=3 square feet) that was ordered was to ensure that your carpet would completely cover the room it was installed in. If there is anything else we can help you with, please feel free to call us anytime!

It took a couple of months just to order our carpets. Our salesman refused to call us back or email us. He also gave us incorrect quotes and did not file our information correctly. We were also going to order hardwood flooring and luxury vinyl flooring but changed our minds and ordered it somewhere else after being so frustrated. We were never told that the salesman who was supposed to be placing our order was placed on medical leave. When we said we were going to go somewhere else to get our carpet, a new salesperson helped us and our experience was much better.

Mike, Thank you for taking the time to submit this review. We are glad that you are happy with your new floor and the installers. Our installation crew takes pride in what they do and wouldn't want to rush the installation. We want your floors to be as close to perfect as possible when we leave. Additionally, we are sorry that the job took a little longer than expected. Unfortunately, during the assessment of your home, there was no way of knowing that there was a second layer of flooring under the first layer unless we were able to pull up the carpet at that time. Taking out the second layer and making sure the base floor is properly prepped for LVT can add some time to the installation...that's why it took a bit longer. Here at Crest, we always have a 2 man crew for residential installations. We apologize for any inconvenience, and we look forward to doing business with you in the future!

I am disappointed that the transitions to other rooms were not finished. Also trim was blocked in by the floor installation. There was damage that became apparent once the floor was properly cleaned. Finally, There is a gummy like substance on the flooring that is difficult to clean. Not what I expected for such an expensive full service installation. And no call after the installation to ask how things went.

I loved working with a local company to get my new carpet. Crest was great to work with and after price comparison, they really were better than the big box home improvement stores. They thought I was crazy with the carpet I selected (white), but I absolutely love it and am so thankful I went with my heart on this one! The installation was very timely - in fact, I actually needed to delay it a bit because I didn't even have enough time to finish up painting before they were ready to schedule.

We were very pleased with our service from beginning to end. Jamie was very knowledgeable and professional and made the selection/purchasing experience very pleasant. Installation went very smoothly and we were pleased with the end result. My only suggestion would be for the installers to ensure they introduce themselves (obviously I knew I was expecting them, but was thrown off a bit as they did not introduce themselves). They were very professional during the install and I was very impressed with the time it took them to complete. All around we were very pleased with our experience and will be contacting Crest in the future for further home improvements.

We do have policy in place to have the installers remove all trash, dispose of the trash and to vacuum the completed project for a clean, professional appearance. We asked whether Crest could make a specific date to install on our initial visit to the showr and were told Crest could. We agreed to go with Crest because of this, but Crest did not meet their promise, the only disappointment. Install went well and we are happy with the carpet.

Alyssa, This review was very disappointing to receive. At the time you wrote this review, your issue was being addressed and final resolution had not yet been achieved so we feel it was a bit premature. We recognize you as a valued repeat customer. Our local customers are very valuable to us and we strive to nurture our relationships with each of them. As you are well aware, upon removal of your previous flooring, we found a very complex sub floor issue beneath. As such, preparation of that sub floor became very labor intensive. While we do go to our customers' homes to evaluate the current flooring and estimate the scope of work, there remains a few circumstances that are not detectable especially when there is current flooring obscuring the sight of the problem. We DID, however, work very hard with your contractor to ensure that your job was completed professionally and shared the expense of the preparation with you and your contractor. I think this was the most fair resolution to your issue and we feel satisfied in knowing that we provided you a quality flooring that was professionally installed. In the end, knowing that we care enough about our customers to do the right thing and knowing you have a beautiful, sound floor installed professionally will hopefully be the last impression you are left with.

I am absolutely shocked by some of the negative reviews about the staff here at Crest Flooring of Allentown. My first visit to Crest Flooring was on Veteran's Day where I was immediately greeted by Jaime who gave me her undivided attention from beginning to end. She was extremely knowledgeable, patient and helpful in every aspect. My husband and I were clearly one of those customers who just "couldnt make up their minds". We were overwhelmed and stressed out during the process of picking out new carpet but Jaime made me feel comfortable. We probably went back and forth to Crest Flooring over half a dozen times looking at different color carpet swatches and I am sure were labeled as difficult customers, which would have been understandable considering how picky we are, but we never knew how confusing and overwhelming picking out carpet could be. Despite our many appearances here and lack of decision making, their staff were always so patient, so helpful and never once showed any indication of annoyance in us if ever they were which I am sure they were. They treated us as any great company with excellent customer service should, and it was nothing less then professional. After we made our carpet purchase and it was installed, sure enough-Picky Us, weren't sure if we really liked the color we had decided on once it was installed and we had just a few little things with the installation we just needed tweaked to our liking. We immediately addressed our problem with Jaime and a very nice man Ralph and the operations manager, Cynthia immediately got back to us and addressed all our concerns. They were so accommodating and professional and made us feel so comfortable. They sent someone out to look at it and said this was an easy fix and would do what they could to make it right for us. No problem! As far as the color, I can't tell you how helpful Cynthia was giving us what our options would be and clearly wanted to make sure we were happy with our carpet choice in the end. Her staff went above and beyond for us so we'd come out of this experience as happy customers and I must say we sure have. Even if we didn't 100% LOVE the color of the carpet we selected, in the end, their customer service and this company's pride to make it right was what has made buying flooring from Crest a pleasure and we won't hesitate to recommend them or use them again in the future. We have nothing but nice things to say about every single employee we made contact with here: Cynthia, Cheri, Ralph, Jaime - even other staff while I was there ALWAYS helped me out and were VERY NICE - they were all an absolute pleasure to do business with. Very professional company in my opinion.

This was a big difference from out first experience with your company. The sales person was crass. The vile name he called another employee was disturbing. The person that measured the room insisted it was larger then the other room carpeted by you, even though they are the same size. This resulted in a nearly 15% increase on our bill and a large piece of carpeting left over. The installer was good, even if he could not vacuum the carpet after installation (he said his vacuum was broken). We have a very large project coming up and needless to say, we are not considering Crest.

Tammy, We received your review and are very disappointed in the experience you described. We have pulled your measurement paperwork from both rooms - the one we just completed and the one we completed a year ago. While they are the same width, the one this year is exactly 1 foot larger. If you check your paperwork from last year, you will see that you took advantage of a special sale that we had at the time where 10% was deducted from your invoice. That was the bulk of the change in your invoice. We have spoken with the salesperson in question here that you have accused of being crass and vile. He remembered you both fondly and was also upset that you had the opinion that you have. Therefore, he decided to take the responsibility of reaching out to you personally to find out what he had done and wanted to apologize to you. Unfortunately, you would not take his call and are requesting not to be contacted. Sadly, this leaves us with no way to rectify this problem with you.

Thought I would give them a try after my mediocre experience with them years ago. Wrong decision. I just spent 15 minutes in the showroom, even asked where particular type of carpet would be, and no one came over to assist. I had samples out and was obviously looking around for someone yet no one came over. Employees standing around though. Four large bedrooms, hallway, stairs and family room all need carpet from somewhere else I guess.

we at Crest do so many things to attract customers that reading a post such as this makes me scratch my head and wonder what happened. while there are two sides to every story (some say three) I will look into this and speak with the staff on duty. While our positive reviews far out number the negative ones, it bothers us all when anyone has something negative to say about us. we make our living by selling and servicing customers and if we actually ignore a customer then we are ignoring our incomes, and we certainly do not need to do that!

Cynthia, when I was in the store on Friday there was only 2 other customers there - the gentleman who came in behind me and another couple who looked as if they were working with their sales person for a while. There were more employees talking to each other and standing around in the office/front desk area. As I mentioned previously, I was looking to carpet many rooms and needed to get it done sooner rather then later. I have already had someone come out to measure and set up install. I do have 2 other homes that will need carpet, probably within the next year, maybe I can talk to you about them.

The salesman was informative and very helpful and the installers did a great job. The only issue we had was that after the initial order we were told it would take about 2 weeks for the carpet to come in. We called after 2 weeks and were told that there was none in stock at the factory and it would be a few more weeks until they produced more. It took even longer than that. Once the carpet was in Crest did get us scheduled quickly for installation. We were in somewhat of a hurry and probably would have gotten a different product is we would have known from the beginning that it would have taken so long.

Good news: Installation crew was very efficient and professional. Not so good news: Not so happy with the quality of the carpeting. Pile is not as dense as previous carpeting. Not apparent at first glance but poorer quality will likely be a problem in future.

We were happy with the carpet and installation. Installers were courteous and helpful. We were surprised to see that there was a charge for moving big furniture pieces. We never had to do that before for any carpet installation. otherwise it would be five stars!

The showroom was great. Sales was good (maybe a little pricey for the quantity we ordered). Installation was initially good - the workmanship was solid. We did have a bit of trouble with the final install & clean-up that cast a shadow over the whole process. Our experience did not align with the Crest reputation. I'm not sure I would go to them again.

Hello JC, Thank you for your response. We have reviewed your purchase and are a little confused by your review. Due to the quantity that you have purchased, you were given special pricing on every item you selected. We also noted that your labor paperwork was signed upon completion of your installation signifying you are satisfied with the work completed. You have stated that you had a good experience with the showroom, the sale and the installation but one bit of trouble on the end would cause you to question buying from Crest again? We do carry a 2 year warranty on our installation and have a service request policy for implementing the warranty. We have no record of you calling in with any problems with your installation. If you have any problems that need resolution, please call the store and ask for me (Cynthia) and we will be happy to address them with you to ensure your satisfaction. In the end, you have chosen very good quality products and we know you will be happy with them for many years.

Hi Cynthia - We signed off on the installation being completed yes; and it was (and actually prior to the installation team
leaving - we had a dinner appointment. We found that after we had returned from dinner that last evening that 1. there was a pile / bundle of scrap in the basement that was not removed; 2. a screen in our master bed room had been removed (likely to make an easy path to toss scrap out from upstairs) and not replaced, and 3. the installers left tools and 2 rolls of padding in the basement. I took care of the trash/scrap in my next week's refuse collection and re-installed the screen - these were annoyances but manageable. I tried diligently to reach out to the head installer and moved the tools and padding to my
garage and left the side door open on several occasions to allow him to stop by to pick those items up - it never happened !
After 3 wk of waiting - and staring at the padding in my garage every day, I called the office. I spoke to Chris Wagner's boss
(I had chatted with him earlier about the problem and he gave me the installer's mobile number). I'm sorry I don't remember her name (Stephanie ?) and I can't tell you why you don't have a record of the call. From this call, she send a person (Jason?)
to my home the next day to pick up the padding - finally. I had told Stephanie (?) that my next option was to either just throw
the stuff out or bring it to your store on my own.
This sounds like I'm upset with the installer - I'm not. They worked hard and the end result is great. Had these small items been resolved quickly - we wouldn't be having this exchange. I tried to provde some feedback for you to improve your process. I'm disappointed by the lack of direct Crest Carpet employee follow-up, beyond the paperwork to insure everything
was great. Crest had both my email address and my mobile phone - I would have expected a live contact to personalize and
complete the transaction. If that had happened, I would have explained that there were still a few loose ends and I'm sure it
would have been take care of. Instead, I was left owning the problem of getting your property back to you.
It bothers me a bit that your note implies that I didn't call and that 'hey, you signed a form so you're right'. At this point the
issue is closed - I have great carpet in the house and you have your stuff back - it was just more frustrating than necessary at
the end to get there.

Your sales staff should initiate and follow up with their customers. I had to initiate ALL correspondence and calls. I don't know if it was because my order was for one room, not a whole house, but I felt like I had to keep bugging her. This almost lost the sale.

Though most times this tends to be a delicate balance, after reviewing your paperwork and emails, we wonder if you have confused us with someone else? We found that there were only 2 lapses in communication (where we were waiting for Your response) with you regarding your sale. Once, after measuring and needing your final selections to provide your quote and then after giving you the quote-waiting for your approval. We see that you signed your labor paperwork signifying that you are pleased with the final product and hope that you enjoy your new beautiful flooring!

Showroom personnel werror knowledgeable and nice. The installers were nice and did a good job even though they had to work late the last day to finish the job. The only negative was they cut the wires to our security system which we had to fix.

Back ordered product, numerous phone calls to check on progress of availability, master bedroom completed one week and upstairs rooms of smme carpet much later. The up-front sales process and selection process went very smoothly, but the estimate I received prior to Ralph coming out included moving furniture and tear out. When Ralph's quote came back the number was similar enough for me not to question things. What I found out when the installers arrived was that my quote from Ralph, while similar to Jaime's quote, was actually substantially higher because it did not include tear out, disposal, and moving furniture; which was a tremendous inconvenience to me. I don't necessarily believe it was done intentionally, but the result is still poor.

Hello Mr. Byrnes, Thank you for taking time to submit your review. Please know, that at any time of your sales process, you are free to ask questions of your salesperson, estimator or your installer if you feel there is an error. We have reviewed your project from its beginning and would like to explain to you what transpired. Your original quote from Jaime was based on a conversation with you of a room that had not yet been measured. Just as in paint or especially a patterned wallpaper, you can not simply calculate square footage to figure the amount of material needed to be purchased. When Jaime gave you an in-store estimate prior to professional measurement and estimate, she included all standard extra charges you may want including rip out, disposal and furniture moving. This is our standard process in effort to remain completely transparent with no hidden charges. Our customers are given these charges so that they can make the informed decision as to which options they wish to purchase. When Ralph came to your home to measure and produce an estimate, 2 things happened: 1. He found that in order to professionally install your flooring in your room, 7 more linear feet (thus 84/sf for 12' rolls) was actually needed to complete your job. This equated to an increase (based on the product you chose) of $329.28. 2. We do not remove options from installation unless it is the customer's request. Therefore, the disposal, rip up and furniture moving was removed from the estimate. We are sad to hear that your choice to remove these options resulted in a "tremendous inconvenience" to you. We offer these services for this reason and the amount of work it takes to complete these tasks ARE hard work thus the costs associated with them. At the end of your job, your ticket price was $275.47 LOWER than your in-store estimate. If you would like to discuss this matter further, please feel free to give us a call and we will be happy to review with you further. We do hope that you will find that your flooring is of great quality and workmanship and will continue to enjoy it for years to come.

At no time did "I" choose to remove anything. My "lower" quote as you called it was increased by the $400.00 your installers took in cash to do the job I was initially quoted. My choices never changed. Your estimate changed when "you" decided I no longer wanted the options of rip out, disposal, and furniture moving. Also, there was no room that wasn't measured. I brought all rooms and rounded up each measurement I took to account for the 3 small bi-fold closets. Clearly, everyone on your end saw there was an increase in the square footage I was originally quoted and chose to say nothing. Had I been made aware of an increase in square footage, I might have been prompted to check and see what options you removed from my quote. Attempting to make this screw-up my fault instead of the result of your company's own poor communication, will have you repeating your mistakes, to the detriment of your customers who rely on you for expertise. So yes, this was a tremendous inconvenience. $400.00 is a lot of money. Negotiating from "over the barrel" is not at all convenient. As to the quality of my flooring and workmanship, the flooring is great, the install left some to be desired, with sub-flooring showing from poor cuts in the closet area and grease stains from the door hinges upon reattaching the bedroom doors. Lastly, I would have been glad to call you to discuss further, but you left me no name.

I would never use them again... first I hate giving negative reviews, however since the emails persist daily I will just submit one. Ok, they gave me the wrong foam mat for under the carpet... then after I told them about it, the rude old lady at the counter wanted me to pay for the garbage mat that they put there... She was very rude. They did make right on their mistake however I had to fight tooth and nail. Next, I'm still finding blood stains on my doors from where the contractor had sliced his finger. We also had to wash their sweat off the walls... And last but not least I had to re-install my closet doors, due to them putting them on the wrong way. Do yourself a favor find someone else.

Matthew, We are surprised to hear of your unhappiness with your experience. Crest Flooring's mission is to give our customers the best buying experience possible. We have looked into your purchase and see that you pointed out an error in the padding being used. While the padding that was originally brought out in error was not the top of the line, I assure you that it was not garbage and we apologize that you felt that any member of our staff was rude. The correction made for this error resulted in padding for your entire home for only $29.00 after all was said and done. We hope that the correction was satisfactory and that you are happy with your carpet in your home. In regards to clean up and re-hanging doors, we do have a labor warranty and a service call program to handle these items. We always welcome phone calls from our customers if there is ever any part of their installation that they are not satisfied with and schedule to come to your home to correct them. The installer, or a member of our team, would gladly have come out to your home to correct these issues for you. We apologize for your negative experience but have shared it with the staff and installation team. You have chosen beautiful items for your home and know that they will perform well for you so that you can enjoy them for many years.

We ordered Tavern grade hardwood flooring we were told that it had some not holes and shortboards that's not truly correct it has tons of not holes and holes directly down to the floor that I had to fill with wood putty the threshold to the steps did not match the rest of the hardwood the installer had a piece on his truck that he had in touch up before installation now I have to review months there are some finish issues on some of the boards that I have not yet addressed in person with the staff of crest

Mr. Renault, we have given a lot of research and consideration to this review before answering.
We take a lot of pride in what we do as do our installation team. We were extremely taken aback by your words. What strikes us most is that there has been no communication from you to us regarding any of these claims. In regards to workmanship and quality, we do provide a 2 year labor warranty as well as your specific product warranty that can be utilized to assess any concerns and have them rectified. You would only need to communicate these concerns with us and we will schedule a service call to address them.
In regards to your accusation of the crew stealing money-we feel that this is an extremely slanderous comment in the absence of notice to us or any police reports of the alleged theft and is in total disregard for parties being innocent until proven guilty. We are at a loss as to why you would choose a review to make such comments before contacting either us or any authority. If you have true concerns to discuss, we welcome your call.
