last month Great prices, and they scheduled us in quickly! Only issue is the guy didn't clean up cause he stated the vacuum was broken also covered up our crawl space hole.

last month Nice job on kitchen/dining area with wood laminate flooring. Considered doing the living room and hallway to match. Before leaving, installer measured the area and said that the salesman would call me with an estimate. I called the salesman twice with his promise to call me back the following week. That was one month ago; I never heard from him again.

last month We had used J/K Carpet in the past to do the bedrooms in my house and I wanted to continue the same flooring throughout, so I hired J/K Carpet Center again. My experience with Alex King was decent. He was helpful, communicative, explained everything and answered all of my questions so that I understood and was satisfied with his knowledge. He scheduled within our date range which was very helpful as we have a full house. I took the days off of work that he said it would take to do the job. The employee who came to my home did not represent the business well. He was unkempt at best. I later learned that this was actually the owner's son. Brian. On more than one occasion I witnessed him spitting in my yard, and not just saliva. It was disgusting. I felt buyer's remorse instantly and I also felt like a prisoner to my purchase since my floor was already torn up. On the first day Brian left early stating he wanted to go to a child's sports event. Absolutely! That's a great reason to leave and I trusted his knowledge and abilities to know what kind of time he needed to complete my floor. He also left early on the second day. This was the day that my floor was originally to be completed. Ok - an extra day leaving room for error is understandable. I was unable to be home from work any longer so had to trust he would be where he said he'd be when he said he'd be there. He arrived late on the third day. The job was not complete when he left. It was when I was walking through my home looking at the work done this far that I noticed one of my shelves was missing a candle/candlestick. I looked everywhere, I had my kids look and we could not find it. It was completely gone. I contacted Alex and expressed my concern that it had been knocked off the shelf and broken and then STOLEN to cover the fact that it had happened. Alex looked into this and the employee confirmed that he did indeed accidentally knock the candlestick off the shelf and break it. He also admitted he cleaned it up and took the garbage with him to cover it up. I would not want this employee in anyone's house. I did not allow him back into my house. On any day this is a terrible thing for a person or company to do. In this case it was doubly horrific as the candle was one of two special candles from my grandson's funeral. Irreplaceable. I cannot, to this day, recount this incident without watery eyes and a broken heart. This is unforgivable. To their credit, in an effort to apologize J/K Carpet did reach out and were kind to our family. The remainder of the $4,200.00 that I owed was discounted $300.00 and as it was the anniversary of Isaac's death they delivered flowers to his grave site. I do not feel it was enough.

9 months ago Best experience with David from j/k carpets he helped me pick out our floors for our entire house and the installers who came did an amazing job! I will definitely be calling them again when it's time to do some counter tops.

12 months ago We are so impressed by the talented installers, who took the extra time to make our complicated staircase look flawless, and beautiful! They were able to order the Tuftex carpet we wanted in plenty of time, and even had a rebate. Great prices and such an amazing transformation for our new house. last year Just got our new flooring installed from J/K in our kitchen, pantry, laundry room and adjoining bathroom. Looks great and at an affordable price. Thanks to Jerry for helping us find the right materials, and the crew for getting it installed in one day.

last year My wife and I actually had a kid free late lunch yesterday the 4th, and thought we would finally get into J/K Carpet to look at more flooring options and sign up for a measure and quote. Walked in with a very loud buzzer sounding....we then looked at practically every hard floor option while there for around 15 minutes.....not a single person came over from the back area or even asked if we could use some help or hand questions. And yes we saw at least four people working there. Guess we'll be going with one of our other quotes we already have for re-flooring our entire house. Funny thing because so many people said this was the place to go.

last year I have been a customer for years and this last experience was awful. The person who installed my flooring was impersonal and grumbled the whole time he was at my house, both rounds of flooring. Then he was forcing pieces together and chipped a corner off of one piece and left it. Then after telling his boss that he noticed it but the couch was in the way(it wasn't. He had installed it with the couch in the same spot) he came back to fix it, after no showing, and said it was my fault. Now my flooring pieces are warping and after 3 times of trying to get them to come out and look and being told a day and no one showing up, they are blaming me for this too. Saying moisture. My floors have NEVER been wet. They have been so rude about everything and now I have to replace my floors after spending over $4000. I can't afford it. Horrible customer service all around and they don't back up their work and their installer, Brian, hates his job and makes it clear to customers and is careless while laying. I will NEVER recommend JK to anyone again!

last year This was a nightmare. Craftsman have become as eccentric and pampered artists. One month to complete a 600 square foot project. The installers did not catch dust from saw. House filthy. Little supervision by J/K. They may have tried. See sentence two. End product was nearly $100/square foot. Demo labor? Result:beautiful floor.

last year The salesman Terence is very nice and helpful in selecting the floor materials, but the vinyl floor installers did a poor job. After the new vinyl was installed, the garage entrance door cannot close. We, the customer, had to remove the bottom part of the door ourselves. They left a big mess behind. They put their dirty equipments on our nice carpet. The carpet, kitchen sink, bathtub got very dirty. Pieces of vinyl fell under the floor register. A few black marks were put on the wall. They scratched the toilet, door trims, lower cabinet doors and drawers. We spent over $100 on another contractor to repair the damage afterward. We are unhappy about these J/K Carpet installers.

last year J/K Carpet Center has become my go-to flooring company. I have had nothing but great experiences with about 8 purchases now between 4 different homes I've owned over the years. When I've needed to save money they helped me out and when I wanted the best quality possible they delivered. People are in awe when they see my carpet and hardwood floors. Everybody at J/K Carpet Center from sales staff to the installers have been professional and they have earned my business.

2 years ago Lousy customer service. Treated poorly by sales associate on the phone. Basically told me he was unable to do anything I had requested. Wouldn't even bring me a carpet sample to save me time. 2 other companies did exactly what I needed no questions.

2 years ago J/K Flooring quoted us a combination of both hardwood and carpet installation with a promise of 3 days installation time. The first phase of the project was suggested to last 2 days. At the end of day two install, the installer found that the sales person had mis-measured and would have to return once the supplemental product order arrived. Approximately one week had passed and not a single phone call from J/K to explain, apologize or reschedule so we decided to call on our own. They could not give us dates but promised to call when they had them. Another week passed and still no phone call. On our way out the door to work one morning, the installer arrived, unscheduled, to do the work. We had to turn them away and called the salesman to find out when they could schedule a set time, at which point they lied and accused us of giving them the previous date. We set an actual date for them to return, at which time their contracted installer discovered we had once again been shorted product and would have to return a 3rd time. Again, no communication from J/K to explain, apologize or reschedule. At this point we were about 3 weeks in to walking around in flip flops to avoid the exposed floor staples and stubbing our toes on the raw stair nose. We, once again, had to call J/K to find out what was happening and were given two different dates that they might reschedule but couldn't confirm. We were told they would contact us with a set date. That did not happen. We called a second time and we're told "We already set a date." Unfortunately we were not informed of this said date so we expressed our upset to the sales person who responded sharply "We'll I'm upset too!" We expounded saying that if he just would have informed us of what was happening, half of this message would not have occurred. Showing no remorse, he replied "You are getting a screaming deal so let's just get this done. " (referring to the discount that the manufacturer offered as a result of their shipping error) We then received a bill in the mail for the full remaining balance from the original bid. Upset by the false promises, flippant demeanor, 4 week delay and lack of a "screaming deal", we called again and asked for a discount. The sales person responded flippantly, "What do you want?" We asked him what he thought was fair and once again he promised to call and let us know what he could offer us after speaking with his manager, we have yet to hear from him.

2 years ago After talking to my sales associate that helped you my understanding is that he was able to find a solution for you shortly after you posted this. Scheduling is difficult on short notice and can be challenging to work out, but as far as I have heard the job was done as planned. Is is correct? It's always nice to have some follow up when you post something negative but come to a solution.

4 years ago Needed to replace some nasty carpet but for some reason reviews about flooring places are hard to come by. Jerry and the staff at J/K Carpet Center were patient, informative, and not pushy! I needed flooring that could handle water and pets well so the staff there suggested plank vinyl (which is holding up great so far). I got quotes at several other places in and around the Salem area and the lowest quote by far care form J/K Carpet Center. Jerry set up a time within the week that I decided on my floors and came by and measured the area needed. I got a quote within 24hr and the quote he gave me was very close to the actual final cost. The gentleman who installed the floors was very nice as well. I will definitely be going back to them for any of my other flooring needs!

9 years ago J/k Carpet Ctr Inc is affordable Great company to work with. Great quality carpet at great prices. Ask for customer service for installation recommendations...their installers are very professional and effecient.

9 years ago JK Carpet has large selection You wouldn't know it by looking at the store, but they have a great selection. We bought carpet for several rooms, was very satisfied. They also have experienced carpet installers.
