10 months ago "We were under a short timeline to purchase carpet and to have installed, our son was getting married in 1 week and needed carpet installed prior to out of town guest arriving. We were able to choose from several in stock carpet choices and by having carpet in stock our short timeframe wasn't a problem, even during the Labor Day weekend."

11 months ago What a comedy of errors. They admitted to doing the job incorrectly, after I called them out. On the second try they damaged my wall, scratched up the paint on my baseboard and room divider and did a unacceptable job on installing the transition strip. They agreed to schedule someone to come out to "take care of the problem" but we have yet to hear from anyone after a week and a half. Absolutely, without question unacceptable and in professional.
11 months ago Business Owner I'm sorry for your problems. I agree that we caused some issues for you at your home but do want to fix them. I have called and left messages to set up a repair. I will be sure to call again and make sure to get this on schedule. I'm not sure why I was unable to connect on with the phone call. As discussed, I will replace the trim and will not be charging you for any of the work done. I'm sorry that I was unable to get ahold of you. Please watch for the call shortly. Thank you.

last year Outstanding service, product, price and installation. Called on a Tuesday afternoon-last week in May for carpet installed for our home. With graduations, etc, thought they would not accommodate my quick installation schedule. The following day, Paul was out to measure rooms, ordered carpet on Saturday Morning-Memorial Day weekend after Tina helped me select a carpet-even showing me price options with no up sell like I had with others in the past.... had it installed on the following Wednesday morning. Installers, two brothers did a great job and had two rooms and stairs-no visible seems, no marks on the newly painted walls and no damage to my trim like I have had using the big box guys. The price and service was so good, I am having them come out to install more rooms. I wholeheartedly recommend Seestedt's.
last year Business Owner Thank you Robert! It was a pleasure working with you and I am so happy that you had such a great experience! Thank you for such a great review, we really appreciate you taking the time to do so.

last year Called Seestedt's for a quick carpet install. They not only got the job measured the next day, they also had the installation done the following week after a holiday weekend. Neighbors had told me others are out 4 weeks.. Tina helped me find a great carpet choice and pricing that worked great in my budget. She gave us options in pricing, quality and helped us coordinate wall colors. We have used them for years, and one thing never changes is their service. I would wholeheartedly recommend them for any projects.

last year Twenty-four years ago, we had Seestadt's put in our carpets. This year we finally replaced them. The installers arrived 2 minutes ahead of schedule and worked quickly, taking care with details and finished hours ahead of schedule. They cleaned as they went. We couldn't be happier.

last year Seestedt's installed tile in our kitchen. The tile was uneven, grout lines inconsistent, and an all around poor job. So incredibly bad we had to have it demoed out. The owners falsely accused me of being unhappy with my choice. They have not one shred of proof of this, verbally, or more importantly in writing. If I was unhappy, why did I go to another store, and buy the same exact style of tile, which was installed flat, smooth, with consistent grout lines, it is beautiful. They refused to come with the tiler, and look at the poor job, yet again they falsely stated the tile was installed correctly. Pat, and Linda Yeager must have looked into their crystal ball, Sales person knew nothing about the product, and gave us misinformation. The owners refused to refund us half of the replacement cost, which was more than fair. Poor work, poor service, greedy owners. Can't wait for their going out of business sale.
last year Business Owner This is in regards to the written complaint by the homeowner. Seestedt's sold and installed tile in the customer's home in March, 2015. They had some installation-related concerns. We addressed their concerns and thought they were satisfied. They accepted an adjustment to their balance and paid. However, they still had a concern, and we scheduled an appointment to inspect the floor. They cancelled the appointment and we were unable to address their concern. We cannot fix something that we have not had an opportunity to view. The homeowner brought the complaint to the Better Business Bureau at which time we agreed to meet in arbitration to come to a solution. The homeowner declined. Next, the homeowner alerted the Office of the Minnesota Attorney General. Seestedt's responded to this as well. Seestedt's has been in business for over 95 years because we service our customers. However, if we are not given the opportunity as in this case, there is not much we can do.

last year I can't speak to traditional installation but I bought a carpet remnant there and had them bind the edges into a rug and I couldn't be happier! This place is the GO-TO for remnants- the entire upper level probably had 300 remnants to look through and I found a 12x6 ft piece of carpet that would have retailed for $130 marked at $52! You may be able to get the binding services done cheaper elsewhere (they charge $2.25/linear foot there plus a service fee since they contract that work out) but I didn't want to deal with the hassle. Great friendly service and awesome selection. Highly recommend!

last year Seestedt's just finished putting a new linoleum floor in my laundry room. The existing floor that was in there was a broken mess. They did an amazing job of dealing with the existing broken tiles and installing the new floor over it. The result is nothing less than astonishing. Perfect workmanship at a reasonable cost. I highly recommend this family business.

5 years ago Seestedt's is the only place we'll purchase carpet as long as we live in the Twin Cities. The staff is very helpful in finding excactly what you are looking for - no matter what price point. We ordered with them for our last house and just now for our current house. We had a little issue with the installer. We called in and worked with Tina and immediately she had a plan to help resolve the issues. We love LOVE our carpet and it looks great! They are a great value and great options.

6 years ago We have used Seestedt's 3 times over the past twelve years and have never been let down. You may find a big box retailer that can sell and install for a couple hundred dollars less, but you sacrifice amazing customer service, unbelievable knowledge of the best type of carpet to meet your needs (amount of traffic, kids, pets, etc). They are well-versed in the latest trends and have an amazing selection of remnants that can save hundreds. I will only shop for flooring at Seestedts!!

8 years ago I am not sure if this tip is considered common knowledge, but I've always heard that it's much cheaper to get carpet remnants bound off and made into area rugs than buying actual area rugs. I've never had to do it previously, but with our new pad we just had to get some floor coverings. This place absolutely ROCKS for carpet remnants. It is the holy grail for remnants. The store's at the corner of 6th and Wall, with a retro original sign that I appreciate graphically. The store itself is pretty grungy, with a quote-unquote showroom on the first floor and unheated rooms full of remnants upstairs. The experience reminds me a lot of a time when I was dragged along on a fake purse-buying expedition in NYC's Chinatown in my youth (never again). You can find remnants typically sized 6 or 7 feet by 10 or 12 feet, but lots of other sizes are available too. The store charges $2/linear foot to bind off the edges. Our rugs look amazing. We got several in very large sizes, in the low hundreds rather than the low thousands. Big plus - they also sell Marmoleum Click (laminate boards) as well as sheet. I absolutely love this surface; it's sustainable and natural, with a great foot feel. Okay, I'm getting weird now...
