2 weeks ago We went into the store to ask about window coverings. The gentleman who helped us was super friendly and helpful. He gave us Joe's business card (since he handles all the window coverings). We contacted Joe and he came out about a week later. He brought numerous samples, took measurements, discussed options, listened to what I wanted, etc. He sent me a detailed quote the next day. We decided to proceed and emailed Joe to let him know, paid the deposit, and about two weeks later our order arrived and was ready to be installed. Joe emailed me to let me know that the head installer, Bud, would contact me to set up a time. Bud texted me the next day and we set up a day and time for him to come do the installation. Bud did an excellent job. He is so accurate and precise with the work. It took him about two hours to install all seven coverings. Joe had taken one of our previously installed Hunter Douglas shades and sent it in to get it fixed (HD has lifetime warranty on moving parts so definitely a plus going with this company when ordering window coverings), so we are still waiting for that. From my experience with Joe and Bud, I feel they deserve five stars. They were efficient, communicated with me, and got the job done beautifully.

6 months ago Run do not walk away from this place. Once they have your money, customer service grinds to a screeching halt. Does 2 1/2 years and still no completion of warranty work and the need to call the manufacturer to resolve the issue sound like somewhere you want to give your business? That's what I experienced.

7 months ago We contracted with Direct Sales Floors Carpet One to install all new hardwood floors on our stairway and second floor. Joe came out to spec the project. We wanted new Shaw flooring with underlayment on the stairs and floors to minimize squeaks and make the floor more solid to walk on. Joe was our salesperson and Jim the installer. The project was completed in August 2018. At first we were pleased with the results, but after about a month one of the stairs started to squeak when stepping on the tread. Then the next stair as well. Since we specifically said we wanted the underlayment to reduce this we were disappointed that it happened anyhow. We called and Joe came to check on it. He observed the squeak and agreed that it should not be happening. He agreed that it needed to be fixed and said he would contact Jim to propose options to repair it. It turns out the underlayment was not installed under the stair treads. They were attached directly to the original sub-flooring. At least six of the stairs now squeak. There are no squeaks on the flooring above the stairs where the underlayment is installed. Joe said he'd get back to us with solutions. Several weeks went by and we heard nothing so we emailed Joe again. We've emailed Joe four times now and we haven't heard anything back from him or anyone from Direct Sales Floors Carpet One. Customer satisfaction in a project like this comes from a job completed to every detail. When details are missed it results in customer dis-satisfaction.

11 months ago We are in need of new subfloor in our bathroom due to water damage. We CLEARY stated what we needed done on the phone before the home visit. We were told about this place from our home insurance because they often work with them and knew exactly what we needed to have done. Yami comes to examine and very rudely tells us that before we can get our floors done, our subfloor needs to be redone. We are aware of this matter and is EXACTLY the reason we booked an appointment. She said they wouldn't be able to do it and then asked who recommended them. After telling her our home insurance did she rudely said 'Well, they are WRONG!' This is NOT how a successful business is run. Yami was very unprofessional and I'm surprised she is vital to this company. Even if there was nothing she could do, she didn't have to speak to us so rudely. There was obviously a misunderstanding about what this company offers from our insurance and there was no reason for her rudeness.
11 months ago We are sorry that a conversation between our estimator and your husband was strained. We will certainly address how she can communicate more effectively. The scope of work mentioned is something that we are licensed to do, but the water damage extent was beyond our capacity and is not covered by most insurance companies. These repairs typically require a job site inspection to assess, which is why an appointment was scheduled. Thank you for your feedback and we apologize that we were not able to assist on this project.

last year If I could give six stars, I would. We bought window shutters and a large shade for our patio door. They were installed on the day and time they were promised. The installer, who called to confirm his arrival time, was professional, friendly, and made sure he took all the shutter and shade packaging to our dumpster. After installing the shade, however, he noticed a fabric flaw on its header. He shared with me that it was a manufacturing flaw and it wasn't something he could fix. He took several photos and indicated he would share them with Dan, the Direct Sales owner. Dan called me, scheduled a time to come take an up close look at the shade. He saw it and without hesitation, said he would order a new one because it was clearly a manufacturer's issue. He provided temporary shades so that our patio door would be covered until the new shade arrived. The new one came and surprisingly, the problem was not totally corrected. Dan, however, was relentless in making sure that the shade was fixed and that we were happy. A third one was ordered, arrived quickly, he installed it...and it is beautiful. Because of the delays and our patience, Dan discounted the shade for us even though the flaws were not the fault of Direct Sales. It was clear to us that he has an unwavering dedication to customer service. His primary objective through the entire process was to make sure my wife and I were satisfied...and we are. I highly recommend Direct Sales.

last year We have used Direct Sales service at 3 different times, twice for my offices and once at my home. The team is super fast and efficient. They have a big warehouse and tons of combinations to choose from. Pricing is slightly on the higher end. I would recommend them to anyone who is in need of flooring.

3 years ago I wouldn't recommend these folks for refinishing hardwood floors. My insurance company recommended them to refinish floors after water damage. They've tried twice now to refinish about 850 square feet of space. The first time they left hair embedded in the finish and missed a spot when applying the second coat. The second time there are drips in the finish that didn't get leveled out, pad marks, air bubbles resulting from a less than thorough vacuuming prior to finishes, and a berm in the finish in the bathroom about 18" long that should have been leveled out. The estimator and office folks seem to know what they are doing, but the quality of work is poor and the installation supervisor has a catalog of excuses he will try to explain why. Bottom line, I wouldn't recommend them for floor refinishing at any cost.

3 years ago We were looking to replace our 31 year old wall-to-wall carpeting & pad in our home so we decided to visit Direct Sales Floors Carpet One (DSFCO) located in Castro Valley. As many of us know, this can be an extremely overwhelming experience when shopping in a specialty store in search of any type of flooring. There are just so many brands, types and factors that come into play when choosing carpeting. It was a Saturday morning and there were already several customers present in DSFCO, but Saleswoman Yami made time to assist us. She asked us what our expectations were in a carpet & pad, and based upon that she knew exactly what was best suited for our personal needs. It was Shaw's Tigressa H2O line. We then made an in-home appointment with Yami to measure our floors. Due to the nature of the 'pattern' match type of carpeting we were purchasing, Yami assigned her most experience crew to do our install. This crew consisted of the father-son-grandson team of Ramiro, Leo, & Dave. They were experience, neat, and did a great job! From beginning to end, Yami conducted herself in a highly professional, knowledgeable, pleasant, punctual, and accommodating manner. I highly recommend Yami and her crew at DSFCO in Castro Valley! We were so happy with this pleasant experience that I had to post my first ever YELP rating.

3 years ago The flood that took place in my kitchen, laundry room and one of the bathrooms was very upsetting, but working with Direct Sales to replace the flooring was a wonderful experience. Yami came to my home to access the damage, helped me choose new flooring and coordinated the installation schedule. (She was also very patent when she had to reschedule the refinishing of the wood floors due to my general contractor's "screw ups"!) I was very impressed with Yami's knowledge; she was very professional and friendly. The new vinyl floor was of excellent quality and the installation was perfect. The sixty year old hard wood floors that were sanded, stained and refinished look brand new!! I highly recommend Yami and her crew at Direct Sales in Castro Valley!!

3 years ago We used Direct Sales to install new carpets and flooring in our home in 2002. With time, kids and dogs we found ourselves back at Direct Sales with Dan a couple months ago. We ended up recarpeting and installing a new laminate floor in the gym area of our home. We were happy to see Jim, the man who installed our laminate in 2002, show up to do the complete installation. Jim and Dan moved all the larger furniture and at the end of each day, Jim was meticulous about cleaning up. He was on time every day and was a perfectionist about the installation, not to mention just a really nice guy. We are, once again, extremely happy with our carpet & floors from Direct Sales. I would highly recommend them. I can't believe people have left negative comments on Yelp. This was our second experience and the service, installation and products were excellent. We will definitely recommend Direct Sales to our friends.

3 years ago We had an extremely positive experience from start to finish ordering laminate floor for the entierety of our house and vinyl for 2 bathrooms as well as new wall trim. It turned out exactly as I wanted and looks wonderful, I feel like we have a brand new home! The team, Joe, Jeff as well as in store, Lauren, were very knowledgable, friendly, and helpful. We visited the store for about a week almost daily to grab new floor samples and each time they spent time with me answering questions and showing me items I wouldn't have thought of. The installation went smoothly and Jeff was professional and patient with us as we had not just 2 dogs, a cat, and toddler, but baby chickens in the guest room for a portion of the project! He did an amazing job installing the floor and new trim and I would highly recommend their products. We are very happy with Direct sales floors services! Thanks everyone!

3 years ago Horrible horrible service. Waited for somebody for 20-25 mins before somebody came to talk to us about the Hunter Douglas plantation shutters. Staff came off as rude and as if we are wasting their time. Never coming back here.

4 years ago Called for an in-home consultation on new flooring. Spent over an hour with me, liked his recommendations, liked his knowledge on products and floor plan layout, and his salesmanship. Unfortunately I NEVER heard back or received a flooring quote. My business meant nothing to them. Will NOT recommend to others.

Our experience was a home run, we bought carpeting, cork flooring and shades and were wowed by the service. We now need two new shades and a carpet repair and are getting the same first class, responsive service we had before.

4 years ago My experience can be summed up by incredibly slow service, lackluster customer support, and continuous errors that cost me time and headaches. It took 3 months working with Direct Sales/Carpet One to arrange a 2-day job. It starts with a missed appointment by the Carpet One Rep, and we reschedule. After that we go to their store to order floor samples: the first sample doesn't arrive for two weeks because it was never placed (even after we filled out the form in the store), then they advised us against the second because they said it wasn't very good quality (why did you show it to us in the first place?), and the third didn't come for SIX WEEKS. I wish I could report, like others, that our rep was helpful, but instead we ended up having to call on a weekly basis to check in on the order - each time he hadn't bothered to check if the order had been placed, was backordered, or shipped. Meanwhile, my rep sends me estimates but doesn't bother to get the correct specs. I have to ask for a detailed breakdown and go over it line by line to sort things out: there are extra charges for items that don't belong, and the fact that he spelled my name several different ways in emails makes me think he didn't even have my file open. They charge our insurance carrier different (lower) rates than they charge us for our portion. Next time I will definitely be getting multiple bids. After finally moving forward with the install, Carpet One calls us on a Friday to say they're sending someone on Monday to begin work. This is short notice, but we go over in detail what we need to pack up (our belongings) and what they will move for us (the furniture). But on Monday the flooring subcontractor arrives and says that they were told the place was empty and that they were expecting a completely different type of install. I call Carpet One and they notify me that they're canceling the install and that they are in the process of putting in place 'better systems' to communicate with their subcontractors. My rep makes an excuse and passes me off on the phone to someone else. I am left with all my things in boxes, a missed morning of work, and no apology. Three weeks pass before another install is scheduled. I have to call to ask about it; they had scheduled a date but never notified me. By the time the 2-day job is done, it has been 3 1/2 months since we first met with them. They don't send an invoice for another 2 months. I could go on with more stories about our experience in their store or the nightly stress of having to remind someone you're paying that they're doing a job, but I'll leave it here. Save yourself the money and hire your own flooring installer, or go to one of literally dozens of other Bay Area flooring specialists who would actually be happy to serve you.

4 years ago Customer service was lacking. I had to chase down the quote after the measurements were taken. I emailed the sales guy a few times and never got a response back. So, I feel that if I'm having problems now, what else will I have problems later. I will go elsewhere.

4 years ago We had some major damage to our house from a burst pipe. During this time, Scott Anderson, the rep that was assigned to me, was always available. Even with my crazy busy schedule, I would leave a late message and most evenings he still picked up (unexpected), always ready for 110% customer service. I work out of town and could not get to the store to pick out items in a timely manner. He dropped off many samples, when I changed my mind he dropped off more. He kept with me until I was sure of what I wanted and then the installation went smoothly. Quality work, clean up after they are done (now that is rare these days). My floor is beautiful and I appreciate their great workmanship. A couple dings on the drywall, after many days of installation and they offered to take care of it and repair them. Great customer service and quality products. Tim, the owners son, was also amazingly helpful. When I did go into their store he explained some of the limitations in color of many of the wood options which helped me choose the right floor for us. Thank-you for taking care of us. Recommended by Farmers Insurance, the best people to work with. They care, they are responsible and make sure that all your concerns are taken care of immediately.

4 years ago Used this company several times and never disappointed. They've had the same staff for years. There are 3 Willit brothers who grew up in the business and are all very knowledgable. The showroom has plenty of samples to take home. Easy to do business with. I'll be back!

4 years ago Our new (Sept. 2014) laminated floor apparently reacted to undetected moisture by lifting up in four areas - this the opinion of Direct Sales Floors and a moisture test by Servicemaster. DC Customer service did return my calls and came to my house to see it. They will repair the damaged area only if I pay their installer. Today a glued on transition piece also loosened and came out completely. Now I have have a qualified carpenter repairing the raised area - the floor area is 1400 sq. feet. He pulled up the floor and molding and observed NO moisture damage of the area in question. The floor was never installed with a gap along the edges of the rooms or hallways thereby causing the floor to bow upward. I wish I had read the reviews before and never accepted the Farmers agent's endorsement to use Direct Sales Floors of Castro Valley. I am out $980.00 to this company and want compensation for my loss as mutually agreeable.
4 years ago Business Owner After extensive review and investigation with the client and their insurance company(who contracted our company to replace similar flooring due to water damage), the cause of the above product failure was determined to be a secondary water source and not an installation error. We find the circumstances very unfortunate where new flooring is damaged from a similar water issue as the prior replacement, and also appreciated the client's cooperation to investigate the issue further.

5 years ago Have known the owners since I was a small child and have had the opportunity several times now to do business with them as well. I purchased my flooring from Dan, who with an insane time constraint (me needing them delivered and installed in three days before our furniture arrived to our home) had an employee drive down to Los Angeles to source my materials and get them to me. You do NOT find this attention to detail, OR this level of customer service from a big box store; and I am pleased and proud to say that I will continue to be a repeat customer as long as their family is helming the business.

5 years ago Had an extreamely good experience with this store, especially Scott Anderson who when the extra mile to make sure we got what we needed. Scott was even so kind as to drop off and pick up samples multiple times until we decided what we wanted. They do a great job highly recommended, showroom is awesome if you can't find what you want there it doesn't exist. Installed 1400sq ft of carpet and couldn't be more pleased........Thank you

5 years ago I live in Castro Valley and try to give the local businesses my business. I walked in and saw an older man on the phone, he saw me but did not acknowledge me. I looked around at different flooring waiting for him or someone to come over and ask if I needed assistance but no one did. I finally walked out and noticed he was no longer on the phone. As I walked out the door I said "thanks for your customer service!" Oh well, guess they don't need the business. Update - Received an email from Dan about 20 minutes after I posted this review apologizing for their lack of CS. Too late Dan - you had your chance. I have many choices and you know the saying ... IF YOU DON'T TAKE CARE OF THE CUSTOMER SOMEONE ELSE WILL!

5 years ago My insurance company referred me to this company to replace the flooring in my guest and master bath and hallway after a slab leak. Scott came out within a couple of days of the referral to take measurements, etc. and complete his bid to the insurance company. He stayed in contact with me so that we could get his team scheduled as soon as the painting had been completed. They were able to come in on the second day after. They laid linoleum and repaired two small portions of laminate flooring. The next day I had water on the floor from one of the toilets. I called the office to report it and then sent pictures. They sent the installation team back out to check it and to install the transition strip between the two floors (that had not been placed on the truck the day before) and a small section of rubber base that had been missed the day before. After they left, I found water on the floor again and called. They told me I would need to call a plumber as they had done what they could. Fortunately I was able to get the problem resolved. I appreciated the quickness of their responses to my requests but was a little surprised that they left me in a situation with water on my new floor :-(.

5 years ago Terrible customer service and NO follow-through. First person I called was recommended to us by an acquaintance and he never returned my phone messages/emails. Despite that, I called them back again and was transferred to a different sales person who did come to our house to take measurements and promised to get me the quote over the weekend, after not hearing back from him by end of Monday, I called him on Tuesday to check in and he said he had been very busy and was working on the quote. I didn't get anything by the end of the day on Wednesday and didn't hear back from him after leaving a message Wednesday morning. I have no idea how this company makes any money. We were looking to redo the floors in our ENTIRE house, took our business to another company which did a wonderful job. Their loss. Don't waste your time with these folks.

6 years ago Warranty work is a great measure of a company's customer service. Laura and Direct Sales Floors Carpet One, as a Hunter Douglas dealer, came through with flying colors for me. I recently took in seven, 18 year old cellular shades for repair under the Hunter Douglas Lifetime warranty. When replacement shades arrived that did not match existing shades in my home, Laura took the time to go to bat for me with Hunter Douglas and made sure I was completely taken care of with new matching shades. Laura and the Direct Floors staff members with whom I had contact were always courteous, professional, and prompt with replies by phone and email.(Kudos, too, to Hunter Douglas, a company that completely stands behind their warranty!) When I start my next home project, my first stop will be at Direct Sales Floors. I highly recommend this company.

6 years ago I have used this company twice in the past. In 1998 and again for very extensive work in 2007. I thought they were great! Recently I needed some additional work done and I can't believe the difference in their customer service, reliability and workmanship. They were rude and not at all helpful. This company has really gone downhill.

6 years ago Came to our house to measure and prepare quote. Good selection of carpet samples in their showroom. They sent samples to our house afterwards so we could consider them for a few weeks on-site. Reasonable prices. A little bit of confusion on the install date, but it worked out fine. Great installers, a pleasure to have them in the house. Installed the entire house in two days as scheduled.

6 years ago I am giving this company 5 stars!!!!!!! They are beyond awesome! They gave us straight forward answers and have great customer service! After dealing with crappy empire and all thier stupidity me and my Husband were desperate to get new carpets in our upstairs bedrooms and kids playroom. We had got a over priced quote with Empire and the quality of the carpet was not so great. But Direct sales had an awesome selection and next day installation! When they gave us the price for the 3 rooms and stairs i was so relieved. It was a great price and so none hassle. We didnt feel like we were rushed or pushed into making a decision. This store was completely professional. Our installers were there at 8:30am and they worked till the job was done. Very nice men and they even talked with us after. The work was done beautifully and our new home looks brand spanking new! We had a great experience and im so blessed we found this store. I have told everyone I know about them and will continue to do so! Thank you so much for being so professional! I will go back if i have any flooring needs in the future!

6 years ago We had a great experience with the installation of our new kitchen and laundry room floors by Direct Sales Floors in Castro Valley. Scott Anderson, our sales rep, provided excellent customer service throughout the floor selection and installation process. We selected an earthy looking "green" Marmoleum product which enabled us to reduce our carbon footprint and also complement our home décor. Scott promptly and thoroughly answered all of our questions, coordinated the floor installation with the installation team and satisfactorily resolved all of our follow up items. The installation crew did a very thorough and excellent job with the floor installation. Both floors look fabulous. The kitchen really blends in with the oak cabinets and our living room furniture. The installation project manager reviewed every detail of the new floor installation with me prior to the actual floor installation. He was more than willing to implement my suggestions. Overall, Direct Sales Floors in Castro Valley exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend them for anyone who is interested in purchasing and installing new floor coverings.

The quality of carpet here is better than big box stores like Home Depot at the similar price per yard. The installation was done professionally by Dave and the team with the great work and effort on time.

7 years ago Direct Sales Floors is an amazing flooring company. Over the years I have had a few flooring needs and I have gone to this place every time. You could go to homedepot and yes you would get a better price but you lose the service that Direct Sales would give! The employes is what make this company great, they are hard workers and live to serve the customer. Every time I called the sales rep during a job they would always pick up and always be friendly and very helpful! There installers are top notch! They always speak english and are very friendly and respectful. Many carpet companies lack good installers but not Direct Sales! If you are looking for great service and quality product look no further than Direct Sales!

7 years ago I hired Direct Sales Floors Carpet One again to help me repair my floors after water damage in my condo that required me to replace carpet and fix the tile toe kick in the kitchen (had to be removed for proper drying after the water damage.) I worked again with Yami to decide on the new floor covering (hardwood? cork? carpet? so many choices!!) and with their installation manager Dan to coordinate the various staff who would then come do the work for me. Yami and Dan made sure I knew exactly who was coming when and what they'd do, and were easy to reach and responsive to questions. I have had to deal with a number of other contractors, and nobody was so organized and proactive with their communication as Carpet One. Installation work was quick and flawless - tiles done by Damon and carpet installation by Renee who also didn't hesitate a moment to help me move my couch. (Moving furniture wasn't on their to-do list.) Really trust-worthy, friendly shop. Highly recommended.

7 years ago THE BEST! I wish that there are more businesses like Direct Sales Floors around...where do I begin? Okay...CUSTOMER SERVICE: as soon as I walked in, I knew I was dealing with people who knew everything about floors (carpet, laminate, etc.). When I walked in the showroom, it took a while to adjust my eyes because there were so many (!) styles and samples to fit my budget. I mainly dealt with Scott after choosing the carpet that I wanted. I had time constraints and the carpet needed to be installed on a specific day or else the movers wouldn't have been able to move me. Scott promised that the carpet was going to be installed on Friday so that I can move on Saturday. On Tuesday, Scott called that the carpet wasn't going to arrive until Friday since it was coming from their Los Angeles warehouse...this was a big problem! BUT...Scott said, "Don't worry! We will just have to pick up your carpet from Los Angeles so that it can be installed on Friday." I think shocked was an understatement. I didn't think I heard him correctly! So, this company actually picked up my carpet from Los Angeles, so that I can move in on time! The carpet came in on time. It was installed, and it is beautiful! The installers, Antonio and his assistant did a magnificent job! I am so happy! AND, there is more...I was left with a 6x8 carpet remnant after the carpet was installed. I called Scott because I wanted to just drop it off since I had no use for it. He is now sending it off so that the rest can be made into runners. He suggested area rugs but I decided to go for the runners instead. I am so impressed with this company and its employees! They have earned a lifelong customer, and I will gladly recommend them to everyone I know. Thank you to everyone at Direct Sales Floors! You guys are awesome!

8 years ago I was recently "blessed" with a water leak that gifted me with new floors in my kitchen, laundry, half bath and closet. At my own expense I included the adjoining family room. I dreaded it. I knew nothing about contractors or flooring products. Direct Sales Floors in C.V. had the best price and they were recommended by my incredible insurance company, State Farm (happy to plug them). It was a big job with floors that did not match. With Scott's continuous input we were able to solve that problem and prepare for the installation. Once we had an immediate need for a critical answer and he was right there to help and keep us moving quickly in the right direction. We chose a new fabulous-looking "green" product that no one had worked with yet. The tear-out and installation crews were totally professional, a delight to watch and have as "guests" in my home. The installers were SO great, paying extra attention to every little detail and even going over and above to help me. The staff of Direct Sales Floors made a difficult job SO EASY for me and I am grateful. My lender's inspector came to approve the work done to correct the water damage. He walked in and said, "What a beautiful hardwood floor!" I thanked him but eventually told him it was a new product of vinyl tile planks. He was amazed.and impressed with the quality of work. I see a couple of negative reviews on this site. I don't get it. It certainly wasn't my experience and I would not hesitate to refer anyone to this company.

8 years ago I am so happy we used Direct Sales. Our installer was Dave and he was so professional and did a GREAT job. We had an issue with our floors since part of it was a crawl and the other part was a slab. There was an inch difference with the flooring and we wanted laminate throughout which would have cause a huge problem. I went to work and when I came home Dave had that floor level. I don't think anyone else would have taken the time to get that floor so level. We have talked to different companies and they had suggested using wood (thicker on one side and tapered down) like a ramp. Direct Sales was the company that had the perfect solution. We wouldn't use any other company and I can't say enough wonderful things about Dave.

8 years ago Great! I called with an emergency at 3:30 pm. I asked for help with a party happening the next morning at 10:30am. The staff ran through my options and offered several solutions. We picked the best option and they sent a crew out that night! We worked until past midnight and the carpet came out perfect. The party was a success and it would have been a disaster without them. There is no other company or crew or office staff that I would recommend over these guys. This job wasn't next door either......they came out to the Woodside area! The price was more than fair. Again a hugh thank you for the professionalism and follow through from everyone!!!!!!

9 years ago Guys, you have been warned here! If you do business with these guys, be prepared to get ripped off and left with a load of headaches. We had a small area of floor that needed to be replaced due to water damage, and these guys come in and charge 4 times what somebody else quoted (we went with Direct Sales Floors because the insurance company strongly urged us to go with them and would pay the full amount they charged). When they finished, they were not finished! They removed all the sideboards lining the corners of the floor and the walls and refused to put them back even though they charged an outrageous $1800! We ended up having to shell out another $200 for someone else to put them in. Again, I want to save people out there from the same nightmarish experience we've had dealing with the lovely folks over at Direct Sales Floors. I would give them negative stars if I can because this business is nothing more than a scam.
9 years ago We have a 95% client approval rating from the major insurance partners we service daily. The insurance companies, not Direct Sales Floors, provide all pricing for material and labor based on claim scope and policy limitations. If there are items outside of the claim scope or policy coverage which need repaired (likely baseboard in this instance), we provide a competitive bid for this work. The insurance policy holder can hire any contractor of their choice to perform any work and is not obligated to use our services. We have been competitive with licensed, insured, and reputable flooring companies since 1978. Thank you for the review and might suggest you contact your insurance adjuster for any claim scope concerns.

10 years ago We decided to update our 12-year-old townhouse. We used Direct Sales Carpet One. We started out with the idea of using Worley Home Design Center to get everything done by one business. We selected everything at Worley's. The new owner (Worley's-sold in bankruptcy this year-2009 no-longer owned by the Worley family) gave us a price and the new owner wrote the price on her business card, saying it included everything. The next day she increased the price $629.00. I wasn't happy and she didn't budge. I finally agreed, so everything could be done by one business. We signed the contract and gave her a check for over $11,000.00 for half of the contract. Then she gave us a list of items, of things that we had to do. You don't alter contracts after they are signed and money has changed hands. What next? At that point, less than 24 hours after signing the contract, I wrote her and put a stop on the whole process. We went to Direct Sales Carpet One in Castro Valley. There we met Joe Willits Vice President of Direct Sales Carpet One. This was the beginning of a great experience. Joe has an attention for detail. Joe and Direct Sales communicated with excellence through out every step of the installation. He checked numerous times through out the installation to make sure that we were happy and everything was done as planned. Direct Sales Carpet One/Joe Willits was a great experience in how things should be done. We had upholstery work to be done also. We had a great experience using Southwood Upholster, Inc at 655 El Camino Real, South San Francisco, CA 94080. (650) 583-6286 Worley was an experience in how things should never be done.

10 years ago They are also known as Carpet One. I purchased wall to wall carpeting installation in early 2004. I called them as the seams are coming apart in two distinct areas. It is OBVIOUSLY not the carpet problem as the carpet looks fine. It is a workmanship issue. They did not install the carpet properly, it was not tucked and was cut short of being under the transition cap. They did not offer any customer service assistance and in fact would only send someone out if I paid for a consultation fee of $150. If they had come out, they would see for themselves that the carpet is in great shape and the cause of the problem is the work that was done (or not done). I would NOT recommend them as they do not stand behind their workmanship and do not provide customer service. In fact, they had the secretary call me instead of a manager or supervisor.
