Worst carpet buying experience I have EVER had. I have a small room, 160 sq ft, in my home that needs new carpet. Found a roll end piece of carpet that I liked at a reasonable price. That's when the fun started. I tried to get answers from my salesperson (Brent) about installation costs and instead got every excuse in the book about how they couldn't quote installation "until they inspect the job". I simply wanted to know how much they charged for installation and if they had a minimum. So after wasting two days waiting for them to come out and measure my room, I get a call later that day with a ridiculous price quote that was over double the price of the carpet and pad. I tried to query Brent as to where these numbers were coming from but could never get a straight answer. I finally said look, just email me an itemized quote so I can understand how you are charging me $300 to install 160 sq ft of carpet. (That's $1.87 a sq ft or 16.88 a yard) To my surprise I was told "we don't provide itemized estimates, we only bid on a per job basis". At that point I was so outraged I just hung up. After sleeping on it I decided to give them one more chance and I called the store manager (John) to discuss the situation with him. I have never been treated more rudely by a store manager in my life. He made no apologies for their ridiculous policies or the fact that they wasted my time and effort. They could have easily told me three days ago an approximate cost for installation and I would have gladly walked away and gone elsewhere. Instead they choose to waste my time and play games in the hopes you will just cave and pay their asking price. You've lost my business forever and I will be sure to mention your name in the worst possible light to everyone I come in contact with in the future.

John Welcher from Meyer Floor Covering was contracted to replace and improve the sound deadening qualities of the hardwoods in our Condo. The pricing was reasonable and the work performed as excellent. They went above and beyond to install the flooring in a timely manner. The installers were courteous, did and outstanding job mitigating the dust from the project, and cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day. Highly Recommend.

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM MEYER FLOOR COVERING!!! THEIR PRICES ARE MORE THAN OTHERS, THEY'RE NOT COURTEOUS AND TRIED TO KEEP MY MONEY AFTER THEY CANCELED MY ORDER FOR UNKNOWN REASONS. I would give them minus 5 stars if I was allowed. Their managers, specifically Alex & Harlin (I think that's his name), were extremely rude. Fortunately, I ordered through the kiosk at Costco. After I placed my order for blinds, one of the people from Meyer, I think it was Harlin, called me about a week later and told me they had cancelled my order, (he refused to tell me why it was cancelled), and then never refunded my money. They knew I had called Costco when I had other problems with them as well. I think they were retaliating after I complained to Costco. Then, I had to go back to Costco almost 2 months later to get me refund. The blinds sales person that came to my home and did the measuring, has quit Meyer, ... so I have been told from another blinds dealer from Costco. (Haven't confirmed that yet, though) When I called to talk to the owner or senior manager and what their name was about the problems I encountered with Meyer, I was given to "Alex" and told he was in Sales, not a manager or an owner. When Alex got on the phone, he said he was the owner and demanded who I was and what I wanted. I told him I wanted to first confirm I was talking to the owner or was he just a Sales rep. He then just hung up on me. This company should not be one of Costco's kiosk companies. Service and care for the customer is not their goal. Also, they are more expensive for the exact same blinds that I ordered from another kiosk company at Costco. I saved about $600, about 20%, by using the other kiosk company from Costco rather then using Meyer. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY MEYER FLOOR COVERING OTHER STAR RATINGS. THIS COMPANY IS BAD NEWS. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY, YOU WILL THANK ME.
I have been a customer of Meyer flooring for over thirty years. Recently I had them do a bid for redo of large kitchen floor. I called the salesperson and asked a few questions- he told me I probably would be happy elsewhere. I sent an email to management and there was no reply. I was shocked. My interpretation of this treatment is that they are no longer service orientated. There are several flooring companys cheaper than Meyer who also provide no service . I would rather pay a little extra and get service.
I contacted Meyer Flooring on behalf of a client that needs to have carpets replaced After renting her home out for a few years. They rep was very quick to respond and set my appointment. He arrived on time and showed up very professionally. I quickly shared that this was a multiple bid situation and that my client would ultimately be making the decision. Not a problem! Sweet! Although my client ended up going with a slightly lower bid from a different company and also someone who could do it in very short notice (we had to put the home on the market for sale). I would recommend Meyers and will call on them again because these guys impressed me right away! The bid was returned quickly and well detailed. The pricing was less then $200 higher then the lowest bid and they also had similar offerings of the type of carpet that would fit the price point of the home.

This review is for my shopping experience. I haven't purchased flooring from them (yet). Kurt helped me and was incredible! We are replacing all the flooring in the downstairs of the house we just bought, so I needed a hardwood(ish) flooring, carpet, and some cheap vinyl to put in the kitchen until we are ready to redo the whole thing. He didn't have any products that he wanted to push - he asked me questions (some i hadn't thought of) to figure out my needs and showed me reasonable options that would fit my needs AND budget. He answered all my questions and actually listened to what I wanted. I felt he was super honest about which products I would probably be happiest with (and it wasn't always the most expensive of the flooring I was looking at). I can't say enough about his customer service. Everyone else was super nice and helpful also. They had a play table with legos and puzzles for my son to play with while I shopped. Even offered a movie. So pleased with my experience! With such a big project it honestly comes down to price and quality of product. I haven't finished comparing prices and figuring out what products I want to go with, but of the three stores I visited today, this was definitely the most helpful stop and pricing is the best!

Beware of Mohawk Bamboo Flooring. We went to Meyer for their excellent pricing. The sales people were very knowledgeable about every kind of flooring they carry. We found them to be friendly and helpful. We chose to install the flooring in our small area ourselves, my husband is very handy, and they gave us all kinds of tips to help with the job. Once completed, the floor looked great. After about a year, I noticed that something was wrong with one board in the middle of the floor. It appeared that the finish was coming off of this board in a splash like pattern. We quickly looked at the rest of the floor and it all looked fine. There was no mistake, there was something wrong. I called Meyer and they sent out our salesman to take a look. He was able to see the problem and took a picture. We were told that they would contact the Mohawk sales rep for the area and get back to us. We went back and forth via phone conversations for a while and finally were told that the Mohawk rep decided it was our fault, we must have done something to the board. We had done nothing, but they were not interested. They also suggested that we should not have installed the damaged board. That was funny...it was not damaged when we installed. In good faith, they offered us another box of flooring for us to repair. What? We already did the install and now to basically start over because of a defective product? I wanted Mohawk to come out and fix it. I tried to follow up with the Mohawk company, but they were rude and unhelpful in any way. I had to call Meyer back and help them put a claim in with Mohawk so they would at least speak with me at all. It did not help, but that was a step that Mohawk told me should have happened the minute I called Meyer with the problem. It was almost like Mohawk was blaming Meyer, and Meyer was blaming Mohawk, which left us with a damaged floor board and no solution. I am giving Meyer Floor one star for not helping solve this problem. I still have a floor board that is loosing its finish. I have very little faith that anything will be done and have given up the run around I was getting from Meyer and Mohawk. I feel my only recourse is to let others know that Meyer is a great place to purchase flooring, yet, if there is a problem, they do not stand behind their product AND do not purchase Mohawk flooring at all.

This is THE place in Tacoma for flooring. I don't know what the other reviewer was talking about but these guys have taken care of multiple flooring concerns in out north end bungalow. A great young guy-can't remember his name, came over to our house, measured and consulted us. Couldn't be happier with the results! I usually don't spend time writing reviews on non-flood places, but this one is worth your while. We shopped around a bit and felt that the pricing was more than fair and the service and selection outstanding. We will not bother shopping around in the future.

Wide selection here, but the salesman was so pushy and insistent on selling us what they had lots of in the warehouse - even though we stated immediately what we wanted - he then commented negatively about every other brand of tile in the store except the Italian overstocks. I knew what I wanted - they had it, but we bought nothing due to this.
