We went to Kopp's to replace our carpet and tile. Not only was the showroom staff friendly and welcoming, they also provided excellent, quality options and were so helpful in guiding me to purchase the right options for our home. The installation was quick and clean. We could not be more pleased with our purchase or our Kopp's experience!
purchased laminate flooring by shaw and they are not standing behind their product it has delaminated and they are offering only a third of what I paid for it
I have used Kopps Carpet over the last 15 years for all of my flooring and window treatments. Each time they have done exceptional job. We just replace all of our carpet on the lower level for wood floors, it turned out beautiful. The crew that came was on time, efficient and very friendly and detailed oriented. I was very pleased. We also carpeted the basement at the same time and knowing that we chose a patternef carpet that would be difficult to install again the installers took their time to make sure it was done correctly and discussed how they were going to install it so it would look it's best. We are very pleased and love our new look. Thank you Kopp decorators for taking the time and making our house beautiful
I bought a new house in May and needed new carpet for the whole thing. I was under a very tight move in schedule. Kopp's Carpet in Lenexa had the perfect choice for me, a great price and they showed up EXACTLY when promised. They worked with my schedule so that it was done in time for me to move in. They were very professional, courteous and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I'm extremely happy with Kopp's and would highly recommend them.
This has been the WORST experience of my entire life. The workers were late all 3 days they were here.We were told it was a 2 day job and it took 3.The workers were extremely disheveled, while one was working I could see all, and I mean ALL of his underwear. One workers truck was leaking gasoline down our driveway.A third worker came in on the second day and was VERY sick. His nose was running all over his face.He was hacking and coughing all over my house while he worked. 4 days later my toddler and I were both sick too.On the 3rd day one of the workers, Jeff, started freaking out, yelling at the other worker Darren that he had to be somewhere and couldn't be late. Then he started throwing tools and carpet into the back of his van and took off as fast as he could leaving Darren here to finish everything alone. After the workers left I realized there were tacks sticking up all along the entire perimeter of every piece of carpet they laid. The floor underneath the carpet seemed uneven like maybe there was something wrong with the sub-floor that the workers hadn't bothered to mention so we could address.Especially in the master bedroom we started noticing these huge bumps underneath the carpet. On the stairs the carpet dipped down in between the spindles. Also on the stairs you could see the backing of the carpet on the sides where it wrapped around which we specifically told our sales person Bill Weist that we did NOT want.On the transition in the kitchen there was glue all over it and the hardwood floor and tile around it. One of the workers told me I could clean it up. We called Kopps and they sent the manager of the installation department, David, out to investigate. He came out and tried to "roller" over the uneven spots on the stairs in between the spindles. He admitted there were gaps in between the tack strips that were NOT supposed to be there and it was the reason why it looked like it dipped down in the middle. He also hammered down the tack strips on the stairs and wherever there wasn't furniture in the rooms. He said he would talk to his boss (Bill Weist) and get back with us. David came again a couple weeks later and ripped up the carpet in the closet of the master bedroom and admitted that there was a large space between the padding and tack strips at the edge that is NOT supposed to be there. Each time he told us Bill, his boss, would come out with him the next time he came to see the obviously shotty work and tell us what he would do to make it right. Bill NEVER came out and we NEVER heard from him via phone or email or any other way. David came out again soon after and ripped up the master bedroom carpet and changed out the padding. He and my husband ripped out large chunks of a really hard substance from the padding which was exactly what we were feeling every time we walked across the carpet. Supposedly Kopps was in contact with the pad manufacturer and this doesn't normally happen, etc. I David came out one more time and did try to clean the glue off the floor around/on the transition and it did look like it was cleaned up but when it dried it was still a mess. It has a film over parts of it and the floor and looks dirty because of the glue. Even though he changed out the padding in the master bedroom, all that did was change where the hard spots were that we were feeling b/c it was a different pad with hard spots in different places. Somewhere in the middle of all this Bill Weist accidentally called me looking for another customer of his and I told him about EVERTHING that had happened. He seemed completely unconcerned and told me that my son and I could've gotten sick from going to the grocery store or anything else and we couldn't really prove that the worker hacking all over my house caused it. He apologized for the workers being so unprofessional but really just seemed like he didn't care. We still have huge lumps under our carpet and glue on the floor around/on the transition. We have pleaded with Kopps, called multiple times and still have not gotten a resolution.
