After my original area rug went to crap, I decided I needed a new one. I went to Home Depot and was going to just bug a carpet and have it cut and them do the binding but it was literally going to cost an arm and a leg! I ended up stopping at Off Price Carpet Outlet and I couldn't be happier. I found a carpet that they were able to cut and bind for literally half the price of Home Depot. They have a huge selection and I'd recommend anyone to come here first. Thanks to Josh for the help and great customer service. I will definitely come back for any future carpet purchases.
Hi Yelp Community: So far these guys are going above and beyond. I will update this review once we're all done with the carpet install. I called Off Price Carpet Outlet in a pinch this morning. They'll try to fit me in today for measuring. Maybe then tomorrow on the install. I am hoping and praying the cost of the install doesn't exceed the price Empire Today gave me. Plus, I got approved for zero percent financing, but I am not sure Off Price Carpet Outlet can do the same. We shall see. Turns out, as of this morning, after spending hours moving everything out of my apartment (and I do mean everything) and onto the patio, covered by tarps, Empire Today doesn't show up for the scheduled install. I called to find out where the guys are, and they said not one, but both of the installers called in sick. No one called me. I had to call them. I will head to Empire's Yelp listing if there is one, and if not, will find them elsewhere, so I can warn others. There was a couple other negative things that occurred even before this huge debacle today. WHATEVER YOU DO, do NOT even consider using Empire Today. More to come, Yelp readers, Taylor ~~ UPDATE! Off-Price came to measure today (just like they said they would--fancy that!) and will fit me in tomorrow morning for the install. Now all I gotta do is get my friend to come by again and move my bed in from the patio for the night. Jeez. I'll update this thread again when the job's been completed! Okay, they finished in a few hours. The place looks GREAT. BAM.

Love these folks! I called with a rush request just days before moving. They responded immediately, helped me choose a great carpet, and had it installed beautifully, just in time. Very easy to work with. Highly recommend!

I purchased new carpet for my home a few weeks ago after being referred here by my parents. They've been buying carpet for their properties for years and always had great things to say. My wife and I were close to buying from Home Depot, but decided to make a last minute stop here. The location isn't the greatest, and you walk in to a large room of carpet roles that don't seem to have much order. Josh, the owner, helped us and I could tell he had lots of experience. He was very nice, courteous to us and others he was helping. His approach wasn't overly pushy, which was nice - just straight forward. We ended up buying a higher quality carpet from them at a lesser cost than Home Depot. What was also really cool is that the carpet that we selected in their showroom was the actual carpet to be installed. We didn't have to wait 4-6 weeks for a manufacturer. This was a big selling point. This place constantly gets a variety of carpet in, so whatever is in their showroom is what you can buy. But they have lots of options and pretty much the same carpet HD or Lowes would carry. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for any range of carpet product.

Great selection, great prices and great customer service. We were helped by Josh who is the owner. He is great at explaining options and puts no pressure . He showed us a lot of discounted carpets as we needed very little that can be obtained from pre-cuts. I will definitely but from here again.

I needed to replace the carpet in one bedroom, so I brought a remnant to their showroom and picked out something similar. They were helpful and easy to work with. Delivery and installation were scheduled for a week later, and I am very pleased with the quality of the work. The price was reasonable, and the entire transaction was easy and straightforward. I would definitely use this company again.

I had a really great experience at Off Price Carpet! They were my first and only stop when shopping for carpet for my new house because I found what I wanted with zero hassle and didn't see a need to shop around. I wanted industrial carpet for my stairs and they had a bunch of choices but of course I picked one with a sky high price tag (even the guys who worked there were like "OOOOF, EXPENSIVE!"). Not to worry though - David quickly pointed me toward something that was basically the same but for whatever reason was a lot more affordable. And mayyyyyyybe I came back two more times to visit my bedroom carpet selection and make sure I'd picked the right color but David was a trooper! Carpet: INSTALLED! Bank account: NOT RAVAGED! Easy peasy.
Great people, great prices, good selection and on time installation. I am very happy. Keep up the good work. Thank you.
Spoke to Ken (who i believe is the office manager) about upgrading carpet pad in a home I recently purchased. He helped me understand what were the option and organized for an installer to go out and see if it was possible. The installer Juan who was very knowledgeable and looked at the Berber carpet and told me that what was already installed 3/8inch will help ensure the longevity of the carpet. He then proceeded to check every room to make sure the previous installer did a good job and the pad was good in all places of the house. He was very professional and honest in saying my carpet is in good shape and any pad that is thicker would cause wrinkles in the carpet over the long run. I'm indebted to the professionalism, honesty and helpfulness of this company. If i need to do anything else in the future, I will for sure use these guys and will also recommend this company to my friends and family. Thank you again Juan and Ken!! - Vanessa
Ken was really helpful and helped me find a carpet remnant for my pet rabbits. Couldn't have asked for someone nicer to work with! Thank you!
We known the store first from our friends' new install carpet, looks great. We went to the store and found the price is around 25% lower than other store asking prices. Josh helped us on selecting the carpet. Placed the order on Monday, and got the installation on Thursday. Mark did a great job on the installation, it looks great and way exceed our exception. Thank you Mark for his excellent job. They looks great. We select the shawn off comfort and they upgrade the pad to moister proof for free.
Thank you very much for your kind words, we are thrilled that you are happy with your new carpeting!
My friends got their carpet from this store, it looks great. We were referred by them to this store. The asking price is much better (25% lower) than other store. We chose shaw off comfort carpet. Got installation appointment 3 days after I place the order. Mark did a great job on the installation. Our original tile edge is not alight, mark managed to finish it in a great way that invisible the previous tile issue. Great thanks. We love the carpet and service a lot. The new carpet make big difference.
We were referred by our friends to this store. The price is much better compared to other store for the same quality carpet $8.6 vs. $6 for the same one). Josh helped us on carpet selection. The whole experience is outstanding. We finally select the shaw off comfort carpet. I made an appointment to measure the size, then place order on Monday by phone, received installation on Thursday. The new carpet looks awesome. The installation is very professional and handy. Mark did a great job. The edge of our bathroom tile is not in the same line, the installation person did a great job to pave it and finished it in a great way that I will never noticed our previous remodel tile issue. We are totally impressed by his job. The money we spent on the carpet make big difference to our house. Thanks a lot.
Great service and staff!
The team at Off-Price did everything they said they would and more! We couldn't be more pleased with their service.
For a great deal and selection, go to Off-Price. I've been using their services for the past 12 years. Ken and team are genuine, happy, honest people. One more ...
This floor store had everything from carpet remnants to high quality laminates and WPC. The sales staff are all very professional and knowledgeable. Thanks Ken!
Purchased two rooms of carpet this spring. Prices and service were outstanding. Small company with personalized service. I've already recommended this place to two friends.
I am a repeat customer. I decided to remove the awesome carpet and pergo floors I had installed 11 years ago. I got new floors this time no carpet. David was awesome and patient I might add in helping me decide on the color. Craig and Chris installed the floors and went out of their way to protect my furniture which had to be put on my deck. I am in a condo and on the second floor so no choice. Craig offered to cut the carpet they were removing to fit my patio and put the furniture on it. The floors look amazing and I am so happy with the work and the decision to make the change. Wow. I keep pinching myself they look so good. I noticed a spot of glue from the baseboard on the floor and wasn't sure how to go about removing it. Craig came over on his only day off in a long time and took care of it. No problem and gave advice on how best to treat the floors. Love it and I am sure if I need work done it will be Off-Price a third time. I did get other quotes but the price and service were unbeatable. They know how to treat customers and make them happy for sure. Thank you David, Craig, Chris and the rest of the staff for making this venture and easy as possible for me.
We needed to replace the cheap carpet we had installed when will built our Willow Glen home in 2009. Our Realtor Mary Ann recommended Josh at Off Price Carpet Outlet, both for price and quality. She was right! Josh provided excellent service. They didn't have the specific color we wanted but he took our names and a week later gave us a call to come down and see two he though would work. One was perfect. Two days later at our convenience they sent someone out to measure and gave us a very reasonable quote the next day. We scheduled the install and Angel was there by 9:30 as promised. He worked hard and professionally until the job was done. His work was much better than the original install. If you're looking for new carpet at competitive prices with profession, quality installation, I highly recommend you give Josh a call.(If you're lucky Angel will be your installer) BTW- The prices advertised on the carpet rolls are the installed prices including tax, except for stairs which are a small add.
Before coming in, I could actually visualize what I wanted: a long-shag area rug in a deep espresso brown. I had called around, and since the area rug I was looking for was fairly basic, it sounded like I could really just come in and look at what they normally carry for wall-to-wall and order it in the dimensions I wanted... I narrowed it down to two places - Abbey Carpet in San Carlos - and this place. Came in to look at the colors/styles really quick, and had it narrowed down in a few minutes. Josh came by, he answered a few questions, including price p/sq. ft ($4.72); then to Abbey Carpet I went. Abbey quoted me roughly $850. Came back to Off-Price, and they quoted me roughly $470 for the SAME color/style. Price included carpet-binding (border), which was $68 extra. No wonder they call themselves Off-Price! I went ahead and ordered it, and it took rougly 16 days. Josh was great - just my style - no fuss/ no muss/ quick and dirty with the answers.
I purchased 3 remnant pieces for 3 bedrooms and I couldn't be happier. Great customer service with Josh from beginning to end. They even worked around my quirky work schedule to do the installation. The installer (forgot his name) did a top notch job in installing the carpet. He arrived on time, worked quickly and didn't leave a trace of garbage. He made sure I was satisfied with the installation before he left. I would definitely do business with them again.
5 years ago they replaced floor and vinal because of water damage in bathroom .and did a bang up gob .at a good price .very happy with off price .
I needed a remnant to re-cover a couple cat trees. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Dug through piles to find the right size. Loaded up my car and gave me tips on how to cut the carpet. Even though it was a small sale they treated me top notch.
I couldn't be happier with Off Price Carpet Outlet! David was very helpful and patient in answering my myriad of questions, since I wanted to make all the right decisions--it's a sizable purchase! Off Price had the best pricing for my laminate flooring, when you include the materials and labor. The fellows they sent to do the installation, Craig and Chris were absolutely top-drawer: professional, efficient, on time and personable, and they did a beautiful job! Ken went out of his way to make it right when the color wasn't what I expected at first, and I thought I'd be living on cement for a few days, but they happened to have the better choice in the store, resulting in a same day finish. I am just over the top with how this was all handled and when it's time to do the kitchen and living room, will be right back to this great team. Thanks, guys!
We just replaced our carpet with engineered hardwood floors and the entire process has been so seamless thanks to Off Price Carpet! Before deciding to go with Off Price Carpet we had gotten other estimates but Off Price was the most reasonably priced for the same material. David in the showroom was very helpful with assisting us with selecting material and finalizing the order. Jesse came out to install the floors and he has been a delight to work with. He's a true craftsman and has put more detail into our floors and baseboard than I could have ever hoped for. He has treated our home with the same respect as if it were his own home--cleaning up meticulously after installation, making minor repairs in the home as they relate to the floor installation, and working with our schedule. I can't recommend Off Price Carpet and Jesse enough!

Goodness, these Guys were a breath of Fresh Air. I was running around trying to update my Rental with Very limited time to complete all the projects. I told Josh what i was looking for and with a Smile he showed me varying options in my price point. then he access the warehouse in SoCal online and gave me the availability of the square footage of carpet I needed. Well i had to go back and measure. i was told it would take 2 days for the carpet to Arrive in San Jose and we picked an installation date. Five days from ordering to installation. The Installer was wonderful as well. He showed me the carpet pad damage from too much water cleaning from the former tenant. I always used Chem Dry when I lived there. The Installer said that was the correct way to cleaner low-pile berber. I was very pleased with the result considering the carpet was a REMNANT!!!

Thanks to a waterbed disaster, we found ourselves in need of a new carpet. We saw Off Price Carpet Outlet on line and decided to check it out. The place doesn't look like much on the outside, but we could not be happier with what we found on the inside. Josh is friendly and supremely knowledgeable about carpeting. His merchandise is high quality and priced to sell. We picked out a carpet on Sunday and three days later, bam, the carpet was installed. Awesome job, awesome service. Thank you, Josh. Thank you, Off Price Carpet Outlet.

I was shopping for vinyl flooring to install in my kitchen, and after calling 2-3 other stores found that Ken at Off Price had the best price on the particular flooring that I was looking for. But the surprise bonus was Jorge, the installer that Ken recommended, because Jorge also fixed our engineered hardwood floor that needed not so simple work after structural modifications inside our home. Many thanks to Ken and Jorge - you helped me stay in my remodeling budget, but not at the expense of quality!

Superb service, wonderful selection, and great prices. My wife and I were looking to create a play area for our daughter and considered either a large area rug or carpeting the family room. We checked out the standard big box and specialty flooring stores, but Josh at Off Price had exactly what we needed. For the same price as a standard large area rug we ended up getting a roll of soft and high quality carpet large enough for two rooms. If you have a custom carpeting need, you need to check this place out!

When looking for inexpensive remnants for camping, I have low expectations of quality of carpet and customer service. Josh at Carpet Outlet however, was incredibly professional and personable. He spent a good deal of time with me finding and uncovering specific carpet pieces, quoting a more than fair price, and his team loaded everything for me. The remnants were new and good quality. Really appreciate it and will return on a heart beat!

We had our stairs and upstair carpets replaced last month and it was a great experience. Josh is a great sale person and communicator, he's patient and had answers for every question I asked him. After 3 months of consideration and hesitations, we decided to hire them to install the carpets. Josh sent two most experienced carpet installers to our house: David and Joe. They're the best! They worked so hard to install our carpets (1,200 sq. ft.) and finished in one day! My husband and I are very happy with the result. Thank you Josh, David & Joe! Great job!

Did a whole house remodel, shopped around for carpet, and this place was by far the best in quality, price, and customer service. I am not sure why I wasted my time looking at 6 other places. They could not come close. Our install window was very slim and Off Price went above and beyond by making sure they delivered. The only caveat to this place is that the selection may or may not fit your needs b/c of the stock. But for us they ordered more of the carpet and it was way way cheaper then other major stores and even stores that don't advertise (carpet stores near Montague Brokaw area Santa Clara) Thanks Off Price Carpet :)

We had hoped to get discounted carpet here, but unfortunately nothing in stock was either large enough or the color/style we wanted. So we just ordered carpet, and for that, the price is the same you would find elsewhere (we called around once we know our product). We had very good customer service in the store and on the phone from Stan. However, the 3 stars is for the install. The guys were on time, but one of the two was pretty unfriendly. They came in two stages as we had a newly constructed room carpeted first, moved our stuff over, and then had our family room carpeted a week later. In the room they did first, they did not pull the carpet far enough under the door to the bathroom. So rather than the carpet and tile meeting under the door, the carpet ended 3/4 inch early, leaving a gap. They had to stretch the carpet to fix this, and the one installer was completely annoyed by this. So much so he would not help move our king size bed, so I had to move it with the other installer so that they could stretch the carpet. This was one day after I had been sick with a stomach flu. I couldn't believe he would not even help. Reminder- this was fixing a mistake they had made. I actually called the store to complain about his attitude and the manager (who was very receptive and apologetic) called him. He was nicer after that! Then at the room's other door, where it meets a wood floor hallway, the carpet is not high enough. So it is sharp, low edge. The carpet is supposed to be raised over the wood to have a soft and attractive edge. They tried to fix this by putting some more pad under it, but it did not help. In the second room they did properly raise the carpet along the length where it meets hardwood. But after they left I walked barefoot over it and stepped on a nail. Then I realized the entire length had nails sticking up. I hammered no less than 50 nails down. Overall, completely unhappy with the installers and would not return here for that reason. Too bad, as if you luck out with finding an overstock carpet you like, the price for that is good as is the in-store service.

Fantastic experience all around. In the showroom David was super friendly and easy to work with, very knowledgeable, flexible, and patient with us as we made our carpet selection. In addition to getting us an amazing price on a very high quality carpet, he threw in a few extras we were not expecting. The installers were punctual, polite, and efficient. They did a great job. Even though my expectations were high to begin with, the end result looked and felt better than I expected! My wife and I love it. We recommend Off Price Carpet highly to anyone in the Bay Area with a carpet project. They will certainly be getting all of our flooring business going forward. Keep up the great work gentlemen!

I had used Off-Price Carpet Outlet to put in carpet for the properties that I had listed and sold. Great experience with the staff and management on site; they had always been accommodating with price, and flexible with bid and installation schedule. I had found price to be less (in some cases, much less than other big carpet retailers depending on what on the floor, volume needed-luck of the draw). They do have some nice high end carpet too. Their installation (I believed was sub-out) was well coordinated. I was not required to baby-sit the process; Mostly just handed over the key and came back at an appointed time with some advanced notice. I will use them again at next opportunity.

I can be a very tough customer and I can not say enough about the quality of the carpet and the service I received. Floor staff were extremely knowledgable about their business and reliable. Over the course of the process I spoke with 3-4 differently guys and they were consistently helpful. When they said they were going to call me back or get people to my house at a certain time, they kept their promises. They had more carpet available than I had imagined. The installation crew was a dream. Excellent installation quality (they went to great lengths to thoroughly clean the floor underneath the carpet they pulled out), polite, very customer service oriented. They were careful with the furniture and gracious in responding to my special requests. The carpet is gorgeous, my home has been transformed for a least half of what I would have spent at Home Depot. I'm happily referring Off Price Carpet to my friends!

I have used Off-Price Carpet Outlet twice now. September of 2013 for my home and February of 2014 for my business. In August of last year I rescued a dog and he was having trouble making it up a flight of laminate stairs. Off-Price was able to find a remnant that matched very close to my existing carpet and installed it. All in all the entire mini-project was very inexpensive and I had a happy dog. The install was fantastic, and no one can tell the carpet wasn't installed with the rest of the house. I remodeled my office in 2014 and I got a quote from Off-Price for carpet and bathroom linoleum. I don't own the space, so I did not choose the fanciest carpet. The carpet I did pick was VERY similar style/quality at Home Depot, Abbey and Off-Price if not identical to each other. Unlike Home Depot, Off-Price had no hidden fee's or add-ons. Off-Price sent an estimator out for free. Home Depot wanted $50 to do that. When I compared quotes, Off-Price was nearly $400 cheaper than the others. I worked with David on the sale. He was really great - I bothered them a lot, asking lots of questions, getting samples to take back to compare with paint and furniture. I changed my mind several times on the baseboard colors. When it came time to install they showed up exactly when David said they would. The install crew were really nice guys. Angel was their lead and he was great and clearly had many years of experience doing this work. He was able to guide me on some decisions and his recommendations were excellent, I trusted his instinct. I was VERY happy with the results. In the end the baseboard, the carpet and linoleum came out looking far better than I had anticipated. I'm REALLY happy with the results. I would use them again without hesitation.

These guys are great! The wife and I received top notch service here. Josh walked us through everything we needed. He explained the differences in the carpets, padding and he didn't try to up sell us. He knew our budget and did his best to keep us in that range. That being said, the wife and I got an amazing deal on the most super plush carpet. We spent over 60% less than if we were to buy it from a big box or specialty store. They have more than enough of a selection and we found more than what we were expecting. We can't speak on the installation since we had our own contractors do the work, but for service and prices, these guys were great. We definitely recommend Off Price Carpet. Ask for Josh and he'll take good care of you.

* Selection 4/5 Off Price Carpet (OPC) is best for the on-hand unused carpet meaning you get great carpet at unbeatable prices. We got the same carpet we had just viewed in a showroom, only one shade lighter, for half the cost. This both saved money and allowed us to have the carpet installed sooner; we didn't have to wait for shipping. OPC also has a small showroom side, with attractive prices. They also had a good selection of luxury vinyl tiles (LVT). I would rate this 4/5 for us - we weren't too picky on color or berber versus plush, so it was easier for us to make a selection. If you have something specific in mind, it may be harder. * Price 4/5 As noted above, we got a great deal because we got something they had on-hand. Ordering from the showroom side is cheaper than some places. We wanted mid-range to last longer than generic cheapy stuff without also breaking the bank and found that here. One price bonus is that OPC did removal for free! * In-store customer support 5/5 I had a great time talking with the guys here, service is fast, they really seem to know their carpet. Scheduling was easy, and I never had an issue getting someone on the phone. However.... * Phone/off-site customer support 3/5 I had issues getting the right person on the phone, and when leaving a message I never received a call back, and I had to time my calls when I knew that person would be around. So when trying to reach your sales guy, don't even bother leaving a message. Another issue with the follow-up: we had our house measured, but apparently the guy didn't mark which area LVT and which carpet. When OPC realized this, rather than call me and ask to clarify, they just sat on it. After 3 days of waiting for a quote they had promised me that afternoon, I called to ask what the problem was - and in 5 min had everything sorted out. How hard is it to call me? I was taken aback at the lack of follow through, and this continued with any phone interactions we had. * Installation 3/5 I am torn on this - for some elements of install I'd say 2/5, for others 4/5, so I'll average to 3. We needed to push our install back a day - OPC easily, and happily, accommodated us (5/5). We were told our install would be a 1-1.5 day project; it ended up at almost 3 full days, through no fault of our own. The guy who told us 1.5 days didn't know what he was talking about (2/5). When the installers showed up at our house, they were almost 3 hours late on both day 1 and 2, which meant they had to come back for more than half a day on day 3, meaning I had to take another day off work! (1/5). If they'd shown up on time, it would have been done in 2 days. Additionally they kept changing our LVT installer; confusing and frustrating. Finally, there was a ripple in the carpet on a stair - easy to fix but they wouldn't call me back, told me my scheduled repair was for 8am but when no one showed up by 10 I called and they told me the appt for was 2pm, but I had to leave so re-scheduled again and AGAIN took MORE time off work. Again going back to the lack of professionalism when you are on the phone - but the in-store experience is great. * Quality of work 3.5/5 I would say the carpet portion is 4.5/5 - no visible seams, very few strings/loose fibers around the edges/walls where it was cut for me to clean up, they kept my house clean during the process and didn't mark up my walls. I would say on the LVT portion a 3/5. The tiles are laid evenly and straight, no marks or really obvious seams. However, OPC did not tell me about the issues of installing the vinyl tiles directly onto slab, and some of the things I dislike now about the LVT I could have fixed ahead of time if I'd known - for instance when OPC ripped up the old carpet, the tack strips left nail holes and divots in the concrete. These areas now produce a hollow, cheap sound when you walk on them, and drive me crazy. Had they warned me, I could have had the carpet removed one day, filled the holes with quick-set concrete repair that night, and had the LVT laid down the next day. Now I'm stuck with hollow cheap sounds! They also said they would provide thresholds/transitions where the LVT meets the kitchen and bathroom flooring but they did not, and said they would take care of "finish work" like making sure it looked nice where it met the fireplace hearth but, again, they did not. We were left to our own devices to find a flooring company to sell us the parts we needed to do it ourselves. Overall it was a mediocre experience. I would use them again because of price and selection of modern, nice, popular carpet in-stock in what I refer to as the "TJ Maxx side" of the store. However, I would definitely do more research and prep work, and be prepared to manage them much more on any future projects. So if you have a few extra hours to spare and want to save a ton of money, I highly recommend OPC. But if time your time is precious and you need a very hands-off project, you may want to look elsewhere.

As a carpet installer, I've been purchasing carpet at Off-Price since 2004. They are hands down the best! I've purchased from S&G, Home Depot, Lowe's, MMM, the list goes on, but Ken and the gang from Off-Price offer the best deals around. They predominately purchase excess inventory stock which gives you top grade carpet at an awesome price! These guys are also a pleasure to work with. They are friendly, courteous, and prompt. If you want the best deal in town, go to Off-Price Carpet Outlet. You will find what you are looking for.

I have bought Carpet from Josh at Off-Price and had a great experience. The key to your success is to buy from the stock they have at the store. They buy overruns and extras from the manufacturer and then sell them at prices the normal stores can't touch. We chose a great Berber for our bedrooms and a beautiful cut pile for our family room. If you want an exact carpet and aren't willing to pick from their inventory, then you will have to wait until they get something like what you want or you should go elsewhere. If you want great carpet at incredible pricing and are a little flexible, this is the place to go. We went back when we needed our studio rental unit done and again had a great experience. I tell everyone who will listen about this place because it's a great niche business model and a great way to save money on carpet!

We recently had new carpeting installed in a new home we purchased. We had done quite a bit of research and they by far had the most competitive pricing. The process of ordering, measuring, and selecting an installation date was easy (they even installed on a Saturday so I didn't have to take off work). My only negative is that every other place we had come out quoted 2-3 days to install the carpet (due to size) but they assured me it would only be one. I appreciated the quick timeline but also value quality. The two men worked for 9 hours straight to complete it in one day but I think they rushed in a few places and the edges are not as clean as they should be. Overall, I would likely return should I need to do another room in the future. A follow-up from the sales team would have been a nice touch too.

This is one of the best Carpet Shops in the town. I did a lot of research abt the carpet (reading in Internet) and going to different shops in the area. Everybody does a complementary measure , and there is different in that (not sure why, but that gives a different in rate as well). And then shops quote carpet price/padding price/installation/hauling differently , so its very difficult to figure out the total price for the whole carpet installation. Add to this worry , is the actual carpet . Most shops will sample a small 2 inch/2 inch product , from which a standard person could hardly determine , how it would feel when the carpet is laid. For all the above issues, Stan from off-price carpet came as a great help . Here you will feel the whole role of carpet and that gives a way better estimate how it would exactly look . He is detailed abt the prices, all total /out the door, including tax/tips etc. Also, I got a great price in the carpet . I am happy , that I choose them for my carpet installation. This is just installed and feels good, very soft /plush.To give an estimate spent around $3500 (all total) for around 850 sqft,) .It includes 18 stairs.

Purchased a carpet for my 2nd floor from Off Price Carpet. I wasn't there for the install, but my sister was. They got here a bit early, while she was still in the shower and patiently waited for her to get ready before coming in. After coming home from work, the install looked great. It's been a year and no stains, rips, still soft as first installed, and all the carpet has stayed in its place. Carpet is excellent quality and the prices were WAY better than everywhere else. Paid a lot, but would've paid almost double at some of the other carpet outlets I shopped at. Service and products were all top notch. Would shop here again.

I found Off Price Carpet Outlet through online research, but I as later referred to them by my realtor as well. Their selection of carpet is adequate for those not looking for the truly unique (it's just carpet after all). I do think of myself as someone with fairly discerning taste though, and Off Price was able to totally outfit me. Somehow even if I don't know the price of an item I'm always drawn to the most expensive of a set. Frustrating for the pocket book... So, when it came to looking at carpet I tried the usual suspects (Home Depot, Lowe's and S&G) but I kept coming up with an $8/SF price tag. Gasp. At Off Price I found two different carpet options that easily would have been $8+ installed, but I ended up paying in the neighborhood of $3.50/SF including install, pad and removal. I did have to negotiate a bit for that price, but the total experience was pleasant and in the end I was very happy with my purchase. The installers were excellent! There aren't any noticeable seems. They cleaned up after themselves. And they were in and out in just a morning. The carpet we ended up getting is a StainMaster, neutral color, plus carpet that is SUPER dense. Way better quality than anything we saw at the big boxes. We got the 8 lbs weight pad. It's been installed for 6 months now and still looks fabulous, and we have an infant and a dog so that's a tall order. One thing that is a tad frustrating (but it's the same for all carpet companies) is that they rebrand their carpet just enough to prevent online price comparison. You really have to get in there and compare the pile factor and densities to get a good comparison. It's not for the impatient.

I just had carpet installed and am very pleased. The service was good, price was reasonable and products are good quality. I found the people here know the product and can give an accurate estimate that includes everything.

Off Price recently installed carpet in my rental unit. The price was the most competitive of all carpet stores I shopped. If you can find an in-stock carpet you like, highly recommend going for it. My HOA was ridiculous in their insurance requirements. However, Off Price was able to provide proof on insurance and handle all the red tape paperwork. David Caldwell and Ken were very professional.

I just got home from spending the afternoon in the showroom. I went in looking for remnants to use in my "carpet project" that Im currently working on....which is my own design and therefore I need various colors and textures. Josh was great. He walked me through the remnants and helped me dig and search, making suggestions, and even dragging different carpets to the front window so I could compare them in the natural light. The selection is great, with a variety of standard colors and sizes, and some very unique high end gorgeous carpets that really were plush. Commercial carpets were also in abundance with various patterns, as well as the standard colors on the roll that you can have cut to size. I must admit that I had read the reviews on this place and was expecting to not get very good service. But I went anyway for the selection and price. I have to say that my experience was more than I could ask for, and so I had to come home and share this. I am not saying that the others who had less than great an experience are wrong, but I can say that I was difficult, took my time and really had alot of requests and Josh was always ready and willing and never hesitated to accommodate my needs. I went in somewhat biased and came out completely satisfied so I say go check them out! PS I did buy 3 different remnants which, when I got them home, ended up being PERFECT! I will be recommending Off Price carpet to my "carpet artist" friends!

The prices are cheap because they are not from the same roll, and thus will have a slight shade difference, very noticeable when placed side by side. At delivery, I had the contracted installer unroll the leftover fragments. Not only was there a shade difference, but there was also stain marks. They were still wet, perhaps from an early morning attempt to clean it off. They make it sound like their stock is left over fragments direct from the carpet mill, but it is more likely scape from hotel installations intended to be thrown away. How else do you explain the stains. Stanley was friendly, knowledgeable, and answered questions at the store. But don't count on them calling you back. He has a stack of unsorted quotes on his desk. If you want service, you'll have to chase them. The rolls in the warehouse will most likely only cover a room or two, so you will most likely not get your desired pattern or color, unless it is very popular. Don't waste your time with these jokers/con artists.

Outstanding service from Stanley great sales technique knew exactly what we wanted and gave it 100% and more. Carpet was installed as promised in 1 day and both my wife and I couldn't be happier. The installation crew headed up by Juan worked tremendously hard. They moved all the furniture; nothing was too much problem. The time flew and we could not possibly have even the slightest complaint about their professionalism or technical capabilities. All of these fine people went above and beyond and I would have no hesitation in the slightest recommending all to have the same excellent experience that we had. Juan, you're the best! We, actually, accidentally ran across the store, as we were looking for a piece of lino for another job. Josh's manner and professionalism not only surprised us but made us go back to look for carpet shortly afterwards. The complete job was 6 rooms, hall and a flight of stairs. Value for money and outstanding skilled folks are the name of this game! Thanks to all the team that dealt with our installation, with a special mention for Juan, Stanley and Josh. Thanks guys you deserve a big attaboy !!!

I had a poor experience when a property owner decided to use them his 4-plex rental property. After the carpet was installed and paid for the customer service pretty much ended. Within 6 months of installation two of the units had carpet that needed to be stretched. I dealt with Josh who took down all my information and scheduled an appointment for the weekend. I called a day before the appointment and he confirmed that the appointment was in the schedule. No one showed, no one called to reschedule, so I called to find out what happened. This time Josh said he had no memory of speaking to me, understandable I guess so we reschedule. This time I call two days before the appointment to confirm everything is scheduled. Nope. Josh apologizes and gives a carpet installer my number. I played phone tag with the installer who just ended up going to the property unannounced, getting access from the tenants, and calling me when he was ready to be paid. Yep, I had to pay to get them stretched despite the fact that the carpets were not even a year old. Tenants complained about the unannounced visit but cooperated because they wanted the carpet stretched.

If I could give this company more stars, I would! I initially contacted this company thinking that I would esentially be getting what I paid for. So they came out did their measurements and gave me a rough idea of how much I would have to pay. I took those measurements and did a little shopping around. We went to one of the carpet chain stores and I found a carpet I fell in love with. Well that price ended up being way more than I anticipated, but once you find something you love, nothing else compares. So I reluctantly put a deposit down on the carpet. The next day I was on Off Price Carpet's website and saw they carry the same brand of carpet that I was purchasing, so I thought I would give them a call to see if they had it in stock or could get their hands on it. I dealt with Stan for the most part, and he was awesome. He told me they did not have it in stock and to order it would be pretty much the same price as what I currently have to be ordered. So we hung up. The next morning I receive a phone call from Stan that they looked on their "specials" list and that carpet I am interested in was on there and I would save about half of what I was going to pay! They ordered it, and installed within 2 days! Unfortunately the carpet that was installed was flawed and showed seams throughout. I called them immediately, they reordered the carpet and reinstalled it without any headache or heartache on my part! I couldn't say more about this company. AWESOME!!!

I was sent to Off Carpet by my listing agent when I was selling my house last year and needed a quick fix carpet in the great room. Ken was very intuitive about the carpet selection and price range that I needed. Even though I didn't get their high end product, Ken still made a point to pull in special inventory with short notice and coordinated seamless installation in time for open house. Made a HUGE difference in how the house showed. Because of my excellent experience, I went back to them again to carpet the entire new house. And again Ken worked magic for me. Help me find the right carpet at the right price. I highly highly recommend them for whatever your carpeting needs!!

Off Price Carpet = Off Their Rocker Salespeople Don't do it folks, don't do it...don't be fooled by any hint of low prices. In addition, these people don't have a CLUE about helping customers. After reading Yelp reviews :) we decided to try this place out. We walked in and waited on a completely empty showroom for about 10 minutes. I went to the office area in the back where a gentleman, sorry, jerk, was sitting. Now he had seen us when we first walked in. I asked for a salesperson and he said that they were busy helping other customers. Ok, empty floor....where are the customers???? After another 10 minutes, I again approached Mr. Jerk and asked if I should go somewhere else to buy carpet. He hmmmed and hawed and grumbled and said "I guess I could go get somebody." My response: "don't mind me, I'm just a customer who pays your salary. Don't bother with me." Finally some sloppily dressed guy comes out and proceeds to act like I'm really bothering him. I told him what I was looking for and he told me to look around at the samples. I explained that I had already had plenty of time to look and didn't see what I wanted. He said I could look in the warehouse. WAREHOUSE??? It was a covered shed with roll upon roll of carpet piled on top of each other. It was raining and the rain was blowing all over the inside of this so-called warehouse. We left pretty quickly and on the way home I kept thinking about all of the poor suckers who were going to get moldy carpet installed. BE AFRAID OF THIS PLACE - BE VERY AFRAID

I have mixed feelings about Off Price Carpets. My initial dealings with them were good. They took time to show me various carpets at the store and then held a carpet for me with $100 deposit as I was having the work done a few weeks later. I had to change my appointment due to a work meeting so scheduled them for 11am. He told me he'd made a note to arrive just after 11am to give me time to get back home after work. My old house is being rented out to renters in a few days, so I'd just had the entire house professionally cleaned (for some reason the cleaners wanted to clean the house BEFORE the carpets were installed even though I originally had the cleaners scheduled for AFTER. I guess they didn't want any liability of messing up a new carpet). At 10am I got a call at work that the carpet people were going to be at my house in a few minutes. I was shocked they were an hour early after I'd just confirmed for 11am a few days earlier. I dropped what I was in the middle of at work to rush home. Upon getting home I asked them to take their shoes off as I'd just had the now empty house professionally cleaned the day before, or if they had shoe covers they could wear. They neither had shoe covers or any cloth or plastic to lay down in the path way to protect the areas they were going to be walking and working along. I was shocked. They said if they needed shoe covers, that was an extra service and I'd have to call ahead of time to arrange for that. I was appalled. I ended up having to run to Home Depot to get some shoe covers for them. When I called to complain, they deducted $30 (the shoe covers cost $10). I should have asked for $50 deduction for the time and hassle of it all. I felt the installers were giving me a bit of an attitude as well. The carpets look fine, so I think they did an ok job with the installation, but the whole ordeal was not pleasant for me the day of the installation. I'd had a lot of renovations done to my house to prepare it for being rented out, and everyone else either had shoe covers or lay down some kind of plastic or cloth to protect the walk areas. I thought it was standard.

I am really indecisive when it comes to major decisions, like "what kind of carpet should I buy" so Off Price Carpet Outlet gets 5-stars for putting up with my indecisiveness. While I still haven't decided on a carpet, I have decided that when I do buy carpet, it will be from Off Price Carpet Outlet simply because the staff is knowledgable, helpful, friendly and gives you great options within your budget. They also came to my condo to take measurements and have sketches of the layout, which they keep on file until you decide to make up your mind. I really appreciate the lack of pushy salespeople, because these guys genuinely seem concerned with your happiness, in terms of flooring and carpet.

We have been extremely impressed with the professionalism, friendliness, patience, and, most of all, integrity of the staff at Off-Price Carpet Outlet. They all put a high priority on customer satisfaction....they bend over backwards to please their customers and nothing seems to be a problem for them. We have had interactions with Ken, Josh, and Stanley and they are all super people. We started with them early in our remodeling process and they were extremely patient as we kept changing our minds on the quality and color of the carpet we wanted. It took them a few weeks to obtain exactly what we wanted, but that time had been built into our planning schedule. Once the carpet was in, they held it for a number of weeks and then were most accommodating to do the installation in two phases, separated by about a month. We visited a number of other carpet stores, but Off-Price was clearly the best deal around. We have already recommended them to others, and anyone looking for carpet will be remiss (and probably out more money) if they don't pay Off-Price a visit.

The shop is run very professionally. Very nice sales people. They helped me in finding the best product for my needs. They have a large inventory of different types of carpets, hardwood floors and pergo, molding, etc. Carpet was installed within two days. Unbelievably low price (including labor) and the highest quality service. Installers arrived on time and finished quickly. Very happy with the quality of their work. Pleasure to find such firms these days. Parking could be a pain, specially on weekdays. Try to park in a nearby shopping complex before walking to Off Price Carpet Outlet.

I only signed up to yelp to provide this review. I am very impressed on Stanley 's customer service. He has gone above and beyond helping me, and throughout the whole process stayed very professional without any complaints. I have to say, that I was probably the most unsual customer since I had quite a few issues that came up. I had gone to Off-Price Carpet Outlet after reading lots of the reviews. My first visit, I found some possible candidates for one room of my home. Second visit I purchased a carpet and set an install date. Well the night before the install, I had to change the order to another carpet at 9pm in the evening. My husband decided he didn't want berber, so we went with his first choice. I called Stan and he went out of his way to go to the office that same night, make the necessary changes and make sure the installers would have the correct information. Not once, did he complain about having to go back in late in the evening. Well, as I moved everything from my walk-in closet later that night, I noticed water damaged and mold on the back of the shelving, on the drywall and part of the carpeting. I couldn't believe it! I did not sleep at all that night worried that I couldn't stop the install. I had to call Stan again, but it was already midnight, so I waited until 6:30am the next morning so he could stop the delivery and installation. Stan was nice enough to call me back after he heard my message, but called the office to make sure they didn't put my order on the truck. He understood my situation and held my order until I found out more information. He was very sympathectic about my situation, and actually povided some useful information on what to do. As I got more contractors to come out to look at the damage and provide me estimates, I knew I couldn't afford to do the carpeting just yet. I had to wait since I have to pay a hefty sum to get the other stuff fixed first. Stan offered to provide me a full refund! No complaints and still providing me with good information to possibly tell my homeowners insurance. I've never had customer service like that before. Stan was very helpful choosing a carpet, going out of his way to do things and make sure our order was right and then still very professional when we had to cancel at the very possible moment. After all that, I can't wait to get new carpet from Off-Price Carpet Outlet (maybe hardwood) once I get everything resolved with the water damage/mold and save up a bit more for it. Thanks Stanley!

I've been going to Off price Carpet for YEARS. They really do have the best value around. They've got lots of discount remnant pieces, so if you need to replace a smaller square footage, this would be the place to look for a great deal. This could also be the only negative though. If you do have a large facility to carpet, you may not find pieces that are large enough for your needs.

I have used Off Price Carpet before and had great results so I went back. I needed two rental units carpeted, vinyl installed in the bathrooms and vinyl in one kitchen. David Caldwell was great. He asked me questions to find out what I was looking for and then offered me several options. I had one issue with one of the bathrooms where the vinyl was not installed correctly so David had it redone without any charge to me. They truly stand behind their work! There may be other flooring discounters out there but I'd go back to Off Price everytime because I know I'll get great service.

I have been using Stan Baker at Off- Price Carpets for years. As a real estate professional he understands that most of my clients are price sensitive when getting their home ready for sale. Stan has always come through with the right carpet for the job. Off-Price has a store/warehouse in Southern California and can get the product up to here quickly. As previously mentioned by another reviewer, the quality of the installation varies on the crew. Overall, I have been pleased with the installations, some more than others. Plus, the installers are willing to move furniture around while installing the carpet for a nominal fee.

I was referred to Josh by my realtor who assured me that Off-Price was the best value to be had in the area. After a painful 90 days of research and quotes from various vendors, Josh was indeed able to offer me the best deal by a good margin. Josh was extremely patient with me throughout my decision process and was usually available to answer my inane questions - and with great courtesy and professionalism. Once I settled, he was able to get me an install date within 3 days. Juan showed up with his crew and had my 2 bedrooms done within 2.5 hours. And he was able to offer suggestions (like not replacing my padding) that saved me some $$. My skeptical neighbors (they couldn't believe the price) came to inspect the job, and were also very impressed with the quality of work. Alas, once the sun was shining on the carpet, it turned out to like a yellow/orange version of the carpet I picked. I brought a sample to Josh, and generally proceeded to freak-out. He was immediately apologetic and scheduled installation of the right carpet the next business day. Over that weekend, I decided that I wasn't happy with the grade of carpet I picked originally, so Josh immediately offered a steep discount on a plush carpet that I was enthused on. Needless to say, I was very impressed by the commitment to my happiness through all of this. Off-Price is definitely worth a look-see when you're after a bargain on carpet. I got overstock carpet, but they also do retail carpet from most of the big brands (Shaw, Design Weave), but I couldn't resist the allure of big discounts....

I have used Off Price Carpet on several occassions. Their sales people are very helpful and knowledgeable. I have worked with David Caldwell there, he is very knowledgeable and patient. I trust him and his opinion and he has always come up with good solutions for my listings. They also have the largest remenant selection to choose from. This is great if you are preparing your home for sale or if you are just thinking of carpeting one or two rooms. You can't go wrong with Off Price Carpet, they are true professionals. Only downside was that I believe they use independent installers so sometimes you may end up with one who is not as professional.

This company has the worst customer service! Wow. They are so rude. I worked with Josh, ad he was just awful. His crews were unorganized. I would highly recommend not working with this company. It was the strangest thing one minute Josh would be polite, and the next he was rude. He was completely two faced. I heard him talking about our family once when he thought his phone was hung up but it was still connected. Really unprofessional.

I was looking for carpet for my living room, and my installer pointed me to this place. That had an OK selection of carpet on hand at a killer price. The carpet was top of the line and they had it for a really good price. I got a better because the installer sent me to them. So anyway, we couldn't find a color we wanted with there in-stock selection. So one of the sales guys (Scott, I think was his name (I'll double check and update this if it's not)) tells us the carpet is discontinued, and that's why the price is so good. He was going to call the factory and see what colors were left and let us know (we were in on a weekend and the factory was closed). So sure enough we got a phone call Monday and he tells us they do have other colors. We go back, he has all the samples there. We pick out the color we want, and he ordered it. In 3 days he has the carpet waiting for us. We got the carpet for the same price as the on-hand carpet in the store. No delivery fee. Awesome! No hidden charges... I'm only giving them 4 stars because parking can be a pain at this place. Also we did need to call them back one time after not hearing from them. Not a huge deal, but it was also not 5/5 star business... Just a foot note. I did a ton of shopping and the carpet we got was extremely cheap for the quality. We could have got carpet cheaper, but not of this quality. No one could come close to this price. We shopped around to six different places, and no one could come anywhere close unless we jumped down in quality... And trust me, flip the carpet over and look at the backing... You can tell right away the cheap ones from the better quality ones... I would also recommend a medium padding. But that's another review for another time. =)

I got my condo a few months ago and the carpet was horrible so we looked around a few places to install carpet. This was one of them. When we initially went in, the guy we talked to, Stanly, was very helpful and friendly. Plus with their discount 'overstocked' inventory, they were cheaper than the other places we looked at (MMM, Homes Depot, Lowe's). The problem is, he didn't have any carpet in stock from the 'overstocked' inventory that was to our taste or big enough for the square footage i needed. He said that they get new inventory every monday (it was sat or sun) so check back. Ok, we will. Fast foward 4 weeks, nothing. The ones that we did like were not in stock and would cost more than what we wanted to spend. The ones they have in stock are from warehouses that are overstocked and they are able to buy it at a discount rate. If they were to order it from the factory, it would actually cost just as much (or more) than the competitors. Anyhow, the guy didn't return my calls. I had to keep calling him to check. I don't know why I stayed and waited for them for so long, but i did. i guess i felt obligated to go with them since i was already working with them. but they weren't exactly working with me. Then my uncle comes along and tells me of a place in milpitas called bay area carpet. He has a couple of samples. It's the one i want. He says it'll be installed in 3 days for 25 or 28 dollars/sq yd., which was cheaper than the 'overstocked' inventory!!! i got the carpet installed 3 days later. off price is not worth waiting for. there are not 'off price' as they claim they are and you'd be lucky to find carpet in stock that you'd want in your home. and enough of it.
