I went to Belmont to buy engineered hardwood for my new home and the overall experience was great. Rick Campbell was very helpful, as I walked in, he approached to me and asked if I needed any help, then I explained to him what I was looking for and he introduce me to a few options and ideas of which hardwood to pick for my new home. Overall it was a great experience, very responsive when I had questions through e-mail or text messages.
Belmont just installed new wood flooring in my condo. Tom was great and extremely helpful in assisting us in finding just the right product at a great price. The installers were there when promised and did a super job completing the work, even adding little extras to the trim to make sure it looked good. And cleaned up well when they were finished! I highly recommend Belmont Flooring! Thanks!

Excellent experience. Three rooms retiled. Aubrey in the showroom gave me immediate and extensive assistance in selecting the product. He promised a good installer. Chris Williams is more than an installer, he's a craftsman. Attention to detail really shows in the finished work. Both are professional, polite, and pleasant to know and work with. Thank You!
Terrible customer service - had to go back because of an incorrect order and they told us if we had extra, we would be able to return it (not telling us it had to be returned within 30 days). When we went to return it, they would not accept it. My husband talked to them, I talked to them and they were not willing to work with us despite the inconvenience of having to go back for the incorrect order and not being told of their 30 day return window. When I said it was terrible customer service and that they'd lose a customer over the cost of returning one box, tom's response was "OH WELL!" He was so helpful when we wanted to purchase over $1000 of merchandise but couldn't care less about us after. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED! Will be taking our business elsewhere.

GENE WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL EVEN ANGRY AT TIMES WHEN I CALLED TO CHECK ON MY PURCHASE OF MY MAPLE FLOORING. IT WAS A SURPRISE TO ME BECAUSE HE WAS SO NICE BEFORE I MADE MY PURCHASE WITH THEM

We worked with Aubrey. He was very helpful and informative. Very easy to work with as well. We finished everything today (wood tile and carpet) and it all turned out beautiful. Would definetely choose Belmont in the future!

This place has a wide variety selection. However each salesman is territorially Let me tell you who was soooo rude to us when we came to see flooring samples and purchase. He wouldn't even talk to us. He has the front desk and blond hair TERRY. They are invested in watching tv on the weekends. Can't speak for the rest of the staff. I assume they are fine. This review is really about terry. And not indicative of the entire store. Go to Gene. Who is awesome.

Be careful! These guys are dishonest. I was interested in some wood flooring that was on sale. The salesperson, Rick, informed me that it was on sale because they did not have much left, and if i was interested i should put down a fully refundable deposit. My husband was not with me at the time and I wanted his opinion on the color before making a final decision. I triple checked that the deposit was fully refundable!! This was on a Friday. On Monday I called Rick and said my husband did not like the finish on the wood and we would have to look at other options. Three weeks later I still had not received my deposit back. We were assured that the paperwork had been submitted to their office, but for some reason it was taking a long time. Almost a month later I received a call that they were not going to refund me because Rick forgot to write the words fully refundable on the order form!!! Don't get swindled, go somewhere else!!

WOW !!! and yes!!! Is the best way to describe the personal authentic Customer service who has the most knowledgeable Sales Associates who truly take great honor in their clients. I would recommend this flooring expert Company to anyone looking for best deals, service and results. :)

Great selection. Installed when we needed. Installers were on time and very professional. Aubrey Miller steered us to what needed and not what we thought we wanted. A good salesperson like that saves remorse from the customer making a bad emotional decision. Did the whole first floor in porcelain distressed wood finish. Looks awesome. Went back this weekend and finished off the house with wool carpet (hypoallergenic) for the whole second floor. Again hats off to a professional experience. Oh and ask for Aubrey!!

My husband and I recently bought a home in Riverside and all floors needed updating. We went with light oak wood downstairs and pearl carpet upstairs. Everything came out amazing - it completely changed the home. From start to finish, we worked with Rick. He gave us the best price in town and was always available when we had any questions. Do your homework and get quotes around town, he will have the lowest price with the best service. Thank you Rick and Belmont Flooring!

Rick Campbell at Belmont was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. He understood what I was trying to achieve with my project and offered excellent advice on how to approach the job. He helped me find the perfect flooring while taking my budget into consideration, and I could not be happier with the results. Thank you Rick for all of your help! I would recommend Belmont and Rick Campbell to anyone looking to upgrade their flooring.

Love the wood! Rick Campbell thank you for your help and suggestions. Rick went above and beyond met us at our house with samples and guided us through the wood process and helped us choose the right wood for our needs. Thank you!

I went to Belmont while shopping for floors and carpet for my home and it could not have been a better experience. Their samples are beautifully displayed and are well organized. Sometimes when walking into such a large showroom and store it can be very overwhelming but this was the opposite, everything was so nice I wanted to see more. Their prices also seem very fair for the quality of materials and level of service they offer. (And better prices and selection than Lowes/Home Depot). Their staff was extremely helpful (especially Scott) and knowledgable and were not pushy at all. They explained the differences between materials and gave me time to browse on my own, but we're always within reach if I had a question. I would highly recommend this location to anyone shopping for flooring. Worth the drive if you are not local!

We just had hard wood floors installed in our entire house including the staircase. Nate was our installer and he was wonderful! One of the nicest and most professional contractors I've encountered. My floors look impeccable, including the baseboards and they finished this rather large job in just 3 days. Ramin was our sales guy and he could not have been nicer. I really enjoyed working with both Nate and Ramin. I didn't get the cheapest pricing possible which is why I didn't give 5 stars but I knew I was paying slightly more for good service, well worth it!

Went there to try to match my existing wood floor and received horrible service by a salesperson named Gary. He was helping me and in the midst of selecting matching wood floor he walks away to help someone else. I later see him and he says "I showed you all that I have, I can't find a match". I told him that I found a couple samples that might work and he tells me to wait longer because now he has other customers. WTF? That's just rude and unprofessional. I'll just take my business elsewhere.

After shopping around several other stores for flooring, we ended up at Belmont for the second time and dealt with Bob Schultz. Bob took great care of us from start to finish and scheduled Chris as our installer. These two are the dynamic duo, and Chris is a true craftsman. Our flooring that included the stairs turned out perfect, so much so that we just went back today for new carpet in the bedrooms. Once again, I dealt with Bob and he is taking care of us again. Don't waste your time going anywhere else, go to Belmont and ask for Bob!

Belmont definitely has the best and biggest selection of wood flooring around. They're a little pricier than competitors in the area, I thought, but their guys were very knowledgeable and helpful. Unfortunately, I didn't end up going with this store to order my wood (primarily because my 1st choice ended up being out of stock for longer than I could wait for), but I still really appreciated each salesman there who took the time to help me on multiple occasions - Rick, Ramin and Terri. All great guys who know their stuff.

We purchased tile from them 4 months ago and the price was OK. We now want to expand the tile into an adjacent room and need quite a bit more tile. We have called numerous times asking to purchase additional tile. Talked to the same salesman that sold us the tile and a few others that work there. No one will help us. Gave them all the information on the original paperwork (color, manufacturer, size etc..). They keep transferring us to different people and they say they will call back but never do. Customer service stinks. I suspect they don't carry it anymore and won't tell me. At least help me try to find another supply house or give me a number to call to find another distributor for this tile. Once they have your money its over. Sadly I can only find it online and will have pay over $200 in shipping in addition to the tile cost.
My absolute favorite spot down State College for carpet and specialty wood flooring. Gene is my favored salesperson as he is professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. As a professional designer, I often come in with just a concept and Gene assists my selections keeping in mind budget allowances, restrictions, pros, cons, the works! I love that the showroom has an endless variety of flooring, everything from residential and commercial carpets to laminates, engineered wood, hardwood pretty much all you need to complete your home's remodeling needs. Come with a concept/ color/ budget in mind and you're sure to find something perfect for your needs!
Because my wife did the selection, this review is limited to the quality of the installation and the efficiency of the crew. We did our entire house, wood downstairs, carpeting upstairs. Their work included moving furniture around, demo, haul-away, floor prep, installation, molding and cleanup. The friendly crew arrived on time and worked all day until 6:00p (sometimes later if there was cleanup) without a break. Their attention to detail and work ethic impressed us. They also consulted us when necessary with questions about molding color, thresholds and where to stop/start the carpet. We bought the crew lunch and gave them a tip. We highly recommend these guys.
So I recently went to them for a large tile and wood flooring order. They have a great selection but their customer service wasn't all that great. I had to do a tile return and they wouldn't accept anything that wasn't in the original box and charged me a large restocking fee. When I went to return them they took 15 min to find someone to help take the box out of my car as they were too busy eating lunch. You also can't do or ask anything about your order without talking only to whoever sold you your order to start with so on days that he was off I was told they wouldn't help me and I had to come back when he was working. I went and bought my next order of tile at Surfaces USA across the street. I won't be going back to Belmont in the future.
I was highly disappointed with Belmont after reading such great reviews here on yelp. My husband and I went in to look at carpet back in July. We spoke to the owner and told him we needed to re carpet our master, 2nd bedroom, a tiny hallway and stairs. We told him our budget was not huge and we wanted to stay in this price range. He told us not a problem and showed us the carpet and padding that would work. He quoted us a great price and came out to get measurements a couple weeks later. When he got there, he suddenly came back with a number that was more than double what he originally quoted. I was shocked and said we could not afford that and that was not even close to what he said. After going back and forth for weeks, we finally found a carpet that would work. Communication and customer service does not seem to be a priority for them. They rarely called to make appointments to install the carpet and would instead show up when my husband and I were at work. When they did install the carpet, the only carpeted 3/4 of my master and said they ran out of carpet. After a moth of them not showing up for appointments, it was finally installed and we had to pay another $200. I would never recommend Belmont to family or friends.
I just had a new loft installed and needed carpeting. Unfortunately, the adjacent hallway carpeting was a model that the previous home owner had purchased from Home Depot and is no longer available. So I took a sample of my carpet and went to Belmont Carpets. Rick Campbell took the time to look at my carpet sample, and dig through each and every one of his Mohawk carpet samples. Unfortunately we couldn't find one that matched exactly. I told Rick that I had some spare carpet and padding in my family room, which the previous owner had installed over the floor tiles, and that I wanted to hire someone to install it for me. Rick knew at this point that I wasn't going to buy any carpet... but he was still polite and courteous and even gave me a contact for one of his carpet installers. I appreciated the customer service and respect, and I will be going back to Belmont in the future for my flooring needs.
I give this company negative 5 stars!!! I am writing this review for my parents! Do not trust this company! My parents had wood flooring installed in their home. They charged them for flooring that was never installed and 10 more boxes that were never delivered at the cost of $3600. The installer mislead my mom and told her there were 2 boxes of wood left. She found extra boxes hidden under scraps in the work truck. These people who work at this company will look you in the eye and lie! They took advantage of my parents. If they did it to us they will do it to anyone! They must have thought they are the only ones who know how to measure flooring and do the math!
Great selection, big store, good service. We came here in the beginning of our floor search, and received great service from the sales people here. They provided us with great advice on laminate vs engineered wood, and showed us a wide range of colors and styles. Although we didn't end up purchasing from Belmont, I appreciated their expertise and advice through the process!
My one star rating of this place is solely due to their very rude salesman named Bob. My husband and I are looking to update our house with wood flooring and saw Belmont Carpets advertisement in the paper. The store is huge, with nice displays, but not easy to look around in on your own. The laminate wood flooring is not in one location but rather scattered all over the store, which made it difficult to compare your choices. The salesperson Bob who helped us came across as arrogant and irritated that we didn't know exactly what we were looking for. Bob came out to our house to measure and give us a quote and we ended up kicking him out of our house because he was so rude to us. They have lost our business because of their rude employee.
We just had our entire home redone with wood floors. We were referred to Belmont Flooring and couldn't have been happier. The service we received by Ramin was excellent. He listened to what we were saying, and made suggestions on style and colors. He gave us samples to take home, and we finally settled on a Shaw Floor. The prices from Belmont couldn't be beat, and other floor retailers even commented that they couldn't match or do better than their prices. Costco was running a special on Shaw Flooring and their prices were about $2 a square foot higher. There was no pressure from Ramin to up sell us. He asked about our budget and showed us flooring in that price range, We definitely would recommend Belmont Flooring and Ramin if you are looking to purchase wood flooring.
Joey is a great guy. Got the carpet installed without a hitch. Very friendly, honest, and offers a great deal. Installers were very professional, too. Thanks guys, I will not hesitate to use you again on my next project.
Just had carpet installed from Belmont. Went here because we went here a few years ago for our carpet. Pros: excellent installation. Very clean and very quick. Sal (the installer) is a true pro. Also, the carpet itself was a fair value. Not the cheapest but in my limited experience seems to be good quality. Cons: Talk about an old and antiquated system... Everything is on paper so no looking up old records and no common system for sales reps to use for measurements. Also, our salesman worked hard to get our business but he was highly disorganized I felt. He believed we would get our carpet by a Friday if he ordered it at like 5AM on Monday (for a Saturday install which was critical for us). We told him to order it ASAP then. Monday night at like 9 PM I get a call "Did you still want me to order this?" As a result, the carpet came in late and install wasn't until the following Wednesday. Just required a lot of extra work on our side. Also, I have a ton going on managing a remodel so the last thing I needed was constantly worrying about whether the carpet would be in or not. Insult to injury, we were billed the final 2k twice because of poor internal communication. When I called (after noticing) the owner told me it was the salesman's fault (um I don't think so!). As the owner, the second he realized he double charged me he should have called me to apologize and let me know of the issue and the fact they refunded the duplicate charge. Again, I have enough going on... I shouldn't have to micromanage the carpet company. At the end of the day, however, we're happy with our carpet.
Rick came through. Big time. He gave us great advice and never added any hidden costs. We shopped around and got the best price on the wood floors thanks to Belmont's ability to negotiate the most aggressive costs with the manufacturer. More importantly, Rick made sure that we would be 100% satisfied with our experience and installation, or he would make it right. He scheduled Nate, to be our installer and he was a pleasure to work with. He was extremely patient and when it came to the workmanship, the man knows what he's doing. With natural, brushed Oak, there is going to be inevitable color variations with every plank, so it's important that they are laid out in a way to properly blend the colors throughout the floor, instead of just randomly slapped together and glued down. Nate and crew helped to remove existing tile and then did a fantastic job with the installation of the floors as well as installing the baseboards on top. They even caulked and sanded down all the nail holes so that our painters could apply a smooth coat of paint on them. The floors came out beautifully and they did a great job cleaning up when they finished. My wife and I have recommended Rick and Belmont to several friends and co-workers over the months and will have no hesitation to work with him or Nate again.
Rick at Belmont made the experience of getting new carpet a breeze! Very straight forward. Provided us with several choices to accommodate our needs and our budget. We were completely satisfied with our experience and would recommend Rick at Belmont to family and friends. The turnaround time was amazing! Even the crew they sent to install the carpet were awesome. They moved furniture with ease and care. They were in and out while not sacrificing a quality installation. When we look back at the process of finding new carpet, we wouldn't have done anything differently. Thanks Rick and Belmont Carpets and Flooring!
I haven't been to this place, only called them for a specific kind of carpet, spoke with someone named Bob and he seems rather rude. I know you've might be in a rush but helping out a customer who's unaware of the business would be a big plus in any company. You gotta keep your customer's happy if you want their business! I heard him say, "why did you give me this call?" and then after the conversation, he just hung up. Rude much?! If you're not there to help out, don't even bother, I'd rather take my business elsewhere, thanks.
I was there back in October and met with Gene. He is a flooring sales superstud. Everyone else in the store was nice enough, but only Gene truly cares about his chosen profession and really takes care of the customers. I chose the engineered cherry flooring special that Belmont was running. In spite of being in South OC, these guys did not complain one bit about the long distance task at hand. Gene came out with samples and showed how nice it looked. I scheduled installers to come. The installed 1500 sqft of flooring in only 3 days, and did a nice enough job with only minimal flaws and defects. In the end, it took another two weeks to cleanup the extra gooey foot prints that they left behind, thanks guys. Overall, i would buy from these Belmont guys again.

We selected Belmont off a recommendation of a designer friend who had never personally used them but had many clients who had. I have to say Ron M. is the man! We had a very short window to get our floors installed before we had our movers come to bring our furniture to our newly purchased home. Ron M. was there from the beginning to end. Not only did he help with the selection of flooring and discussed what would be the easiest to maintain but he didn't try to sell us the most expensive one either. He called the flooring rep right then and there to make sure it was available and when it could get to their showroom. The installers he used were outstanding. Rolando and his crew came to my house and before I knew it the old gross carpet was gone and everything was prepped and wood floors were being installed. They were so professional and just nice guys. Ron M. truly looks out for the customer and wants to make sure you are happy. Our floors look great and we couldn't be happier!!

We had a great experience with Belmont. Due to a slab leak, we had to replace hardwood in our kitchen, entry, laundry room and powder room. Terry knew exactly what we were looking for. He showed us several brands with varying price points. He is friendly, knowledgeable, no pressure. We went with a dark Brazilian cherry and it is beautiful. We had shopped around and his prices were the best--by a long shot! Belmont has a huge selection. Thanks Terry for your great service!

I would highly recommend Belmont to anyone looking for flooring or carpet. I have been in the middle of a very long and stressful remodel and have been looking for flooring for several months. I have spent hours and hours going to several different flooring companies and I just wish I came to Belmont first. Not to mention the HUGE amount of inventory to chose from, they were helpful and professional from the get go. After having a slab leak and moisture in my slab, no one seemed to know how to definitively identify whether we could safely install wood floors. In my first meeting with Ron I was confident he had the knowledge and professional experience to help me make the right choice. I had shopped around a lot so I knew what a good price was and they were able to give me a price no one could beat. To top it off my flooring installer was equally as knowledge and professional. I am so thankful for Belmont for making the experience such a good one.

Belmont installed our original floors and carpet over twenty years ago. We recently updated our house and Rick helped us select new hardwood floors and coordinating carpet runner. We felt we got a beautiful product, attentive service, and a great price. The real results always lie in the installation. Chris, Eddie, and Dan did a fantastic job! We lived in the house during the two week install. They were flexible, worked tirelessly, and had great attention to detail. The final result looks amazing. In twenty years...we will be back to Belmont....although I really do not want to pack up the house again! !

Very good. I would definitely recommend them.
This was our first experience with Belmont Carpets & Wood Flooring. They did our hardwood and carpet for a remodel in our house. Everything was great. Gene was really responsive and able to help us quite a bit when we had a few changes. That was the best part for us.

My wife and I were remodeling our new home. After months of research (brands, flooring types/designs, installation), my wife insisted that we get laminated wood that also comes in a FLUSH stair nose. This instantly narrowed our list of choices to just a few, good manufacturers: Quick Step and its parent, Mohawk. Apparently, flush stair-nose laminated wood is hard to find, and most floor sellers don't even know they exist. During the entire shopping process, we indicated to every vendor that we were going to install the laminated wood ourselves. We never installed flooring before. We searched the entire strip of vendors on State College (and some others), looking for the colors and designs my wife and I would both be able to compromise on. The first step is to choose what color you want. In the initial weeks, we absolutely had no idea what we wanted. My wife and I were at odds with one another -- she wanted something very dark. I wanted something very light or something with "pop". We looked at a LOT of manufacturers and colors. To keep our 1-month-long hunt story short, we eventually found a sample from Mohawk. Raju from Belmont Flooring indicated that it provides the 5-in-1 molding that allows for flush stairs -- they were the only ones who said this was available, and he proved it by faxing us a document from Mohawk. Naturally, we wanted to confirm with other vendors before placing any large orders, but were unable to do so. With ONLY Belmont claiming that the Mohawk we wanted came with flush stairs, we decided to go back to our initial choice: Quick Step. With Quick Step, we then spent a couple more weekends looking for the right color, and found (and 80% liked) the Modello UE1030 Roasted Coffee Oak design. We went back to our list of vendors to check for final pricing before we'd place our order. Belmont and Best Floor were our top choices, and we checked with Belmont first. To my surprise, our Belmont salesperson (Raju) said, on our 5th visit, "Ah, you two! [Then turning to his associate, Terry.] They just waste my time." I was a bit taken back by it -- I wasn't sure if he was joking or if he was half serious. We shared that we were now in the final stage, got our pricing, and then headed over to Best Floor to do the same. Best Floor gave us a slightly lower price, and with that (and the fact that we were surprised by Raju's comment -- I guess we were wasting his time?), we went ahead and placed our order with Best Floor. Terry and Raju were very knowledgeable and friendly, and we were very conflicted making our selection between Belmont and Best Floor. We always felt more welcome at Best Floor, but we always liked Belmont's wide selection and larger organization. However, whenever we walked into Belmont, it always felt like we were walking into a car dealership with salesmen roaming everywhere. With that said, we were never pressured by any one of them. I hope that Raju understands that as rookies (not professional installers), we were doing our due diligence by researching flooring, installation, and prices, before we'd commit to placing a large purchase. If he indeed felt that we were wasting his time, then he did not deserve our business. In the end, we do not regret having purchased from Best Floor, but we do thank Belmont for having been one of our top choices all the way until the end. PROS - VERY big selection of flooring - Big showroom - Friendly service by everyone - Knowledgeable staff (were helped by Raju, Terry) - Some of the lowest prices for the laminated wood we looked at CONS - Were insulted by Raju Would I recommend Belmont? Yes, I still wood. But as always, shop around. FLOOR CHOICE Although we initially only liked (at about 80%) our Quick Step UE1030, now that they have been installed, we LOVE the colors at 100%. Our friends/coworkers agree, except for an elder relative of mine. TIPS - Floor samples: most vendors take a deposit. Ask in writing, that it's refundable. There are stories about shoppers not getting their money back. Check the sample at home in day time and evening. Lighting changes how it looks in your home - Measure how much flooring you need. Add 7% as extra - Let your new wood sit in the rooms for 3 days to acclimate BEFORE installing - Installation: Yelp doesn't provide enough space to write about how to install, but we referenced manufacturer sites, YouTube videos, and importantly: flooring sellers. Some sellers were once installers, and their experience gave us some very good ideas

Very pleased from start to finish!
We used Belmont Carpets Woodfloor-Tile for the first time, and Gene was just amazing! He was very helpful, and he was there when we needed him. He guided us with our choices, and he came through. We got floors from them, and we're getting carpet from them next week! The construction guys who did the installation did a very good job. Rick was the supervisor, and Drake and Dan were with him. They were very polite, and very efficient. We were very pleased! We had a small issue with the floor, but I've already discussed it with Gene. I'm sure he will follow up. The quality of the floors is great! It looks better than we thought it would look. It really is more beautiful than we pictured!

Had looked at many flooring places and saw an ad for Belmont and decided to check it out. Kris Sheffield was awesome! He helped us finally decide on what wood flooring would be best for our property (we had been looking for wood flooring for months by this time). Great selection and great prices...he definitely saved us, compared to some other quotes we had gotten...we did our homework! Don't let the huge store in the Tile Mile area scare you away...it can be a bit overwhelming when you walk in due to the incredible selection of flooring to choose from...but I'm not complaining here, many choices are better than a few! The installer, Chris, that came out to our property was equally professional, nice, and so quick and efficient! Working on various projects on our home, we have come to not trust many people to do what they say, and do a great job of what they say they will do...with our experience with both Kris and Chris (Installer) at Belmont, our faith and trust have been revived again! We are beyond thrilled with our new wood flooring! Thank you Belmont! :)

Wonderful experience with no real problems
Belmont Carpets & Wood Flooring did my carpet. The salesperson, Sandy, was very professional, came out several times to my house, and anytime I called with questions, she was there with answers and got back to me quickly. She was just wonderful. The installers of the carpet were very professional. I had a runner put in and they had to customize it and did a great job. It all came out perfect! I had a wonderful experience with no real problems. At first, I thought the carpet was wrong because it was fresh. They were calm as we made the comparison with the swatch and altered it to match the color.

When you go to Belmont Carpet, you need to see Terry Fahl. I have worked with Terry for years. He has sold us flooring for all 6 of our rental properties and our own home. He is a NO PRESSURE salesman. He wants you, the customer, to be 100% happy with your purchase. He makes great recommendations and is just a pleasure to work with. You can't go wrong working with Terry! Super knowledgeable and will work to get you the best deal. There are so many flooring stores in this area, but NONE beat Belmont carpet and Terry's impeccable customer service.

My wife and I shopped around over a dozen flooring places to look for a very specific brand/model for our porcelain tiles and hardwood floor for self install. We haggled at all the places to try and see what we could get the pricing down to. Ultimately we found that Belmont Carpets gave us the best prices even though they were in a very highly competitive area (There are like 2 dozen "Floor/Tile" companies on State College alone). It was a pleasure working with Terry who walked us through the pricing and estimates, he's the type of guy you could probably drink a beer with after work. He's very friendly, funny, but still professional. Their delivery fee is also very reasonable and the guy who delivered the flooring to us, Matt, was very polite, friendly, and kept a very positive attitude! I have nothing but praises for their customer service. Would recommend to anyone looking to find competitive pricing and excellent service. Just ask for Terry, he'll take care of you!

The selection is huge. I was trying to match engineered flooring to replace some planks that got scratched during appliance removal. If you know about this matching task it's very difficult unless you know the make and model of the wood flooring. Sandy at Belmont was very patient and helpful and went out of her way to provide us with the best match. In the end we didn't go with the "patch"approach so I don't know about the delivery, installation etc., but I have no reservation recommending Belmont because of Sandy's customer service. Top notch.

Have to say that this is the result of the wood floor product, nothing else. We fell in love with the Reward 5 inch cinnamon walnut product they had on sale. We did our entire house 3600. We have two dogs and they have caused huge gouges, grooves, scratches that our previous oak flooring never showed. Recommend Belmont and Gene just not the Reward flooring from Gelleher in Santa Fe Springs. After all it was made in China, we mighta , shoulda thought about that a bit more.

On 10/21/2012, My wife and I went to Belmont Carpets & Wood Flooring for wood flooring shopping. The sales Ramin Karjoo introduced Shaw Renegade Laguna to us and we made a deposit of $600.00 and decided to go with him for the business. On 11/29/2012, my new house was closed and we had an opportunity to take a look and found the color of Shaw Renegade Laguna was not proper. On 11/30/2012, my wife and I, together with our wood flooring installation contractor, went there again to finalize the transaction with Ramin. We brought with us a piece of kitchen tile as a color reference, working with Ramin and several other sales over there. They, including our contractor, helped us to make a decision that Shaw Renegade Esplanade engineering wood was the best choice. We then went to Ramin's desk for the last step of the processing. Ramin helped us finish the order of 37 boxes of wood floors, 17 pieces of Esplanade Step Noses to match the color of our chosen wood floors, and 3 pieces of T-moldings and 6 buckets of Shaw 3-1 glue. At his desk, in front of three of us, he called manufacture to order the color-matched step noses. Ramin started to modify the deposit invoice and finally we paid overall $5424 to get the deal done. However, Ramin was so careless and did not modify the product name from Shaw Renegade Laguna to Shaw Renegade Esplanade, that I found several days later. I did mention to him he might need a new invoice for a clear statement but he did not. We took it grant that he was a professional and he would not mess that up, so we did not double check the invoice. We agreed that the engineering wood part would be delivered the Tuesday morning on 12/04/2012 and the step noses and others would be ready on Wednesday and my contractor can pick them up. The company delivered 27 boxes of wood floor planks on 12/04/2012 and 10 boxes short because of some unknown reason. In the evening, I double checked the boxes and trying to verify if their delivery was right, however, I could not find any label or tag on the box to show what kind of product it was. I took several pieces out and found the color was kind of off. I suspected the delivery was wrong, so on Wednesday morning (12/05/2012), I called Ramin and tried to make sure the delivery was right. Ramin was driving in that mean time and he asked me to call Scott, who was taking charge of delivery. I called Scott then and reinstate several times "Can you help me verify if the delivered 27 boxes of wood floor planks are Esplanade, rather than the Laguna." Scott got my name and let me hold several minutes and then got my paperwork and confirmed the delivery was Esplanade rather than Laguna. After Scott's confirmation, I called my contractor and said everything was ok and he can start his work. On Friday (12/07/2012) my contractor helped me pick up the rest 10 boxes of wood floor planks, 17 step noses, 3 T-moldings and started to install the wood floor. After I took off on Friday evening, I got the first chance to compare the color of step noses and the wood floor planks. I did find the color was not matched. On Saturday (12/08/2012) afternoon, I brought the pieces of wood floor planks and the step nose to the store and checked with Ramin. In the beginning, he insisted the products were manufactured at different time, so color mismatching was general. After I pulled out their display product for Shaw Renegade Esplanade engineering wood and found its color was exactly matching with our step nose. I started to discuss with Romin and Scott on how to solve this problem. Out of my expectation, Scott started to deny what he said and stressed that what I was talking about over the phone was the step noses but not wood floor. It was ridiculous that the stair noses were not ready when I called in. How could this person tell me a story that really did not make any sense! What I can understand was that he wanted to evade the responsibility from this event. Since my wife and I definitely do want the product of Esplanade rather than the messed-up and wrongly-delivered Laguna, I called Ramin on Sunday asking for replacing the whole batch of delivered wood floor with Esplanade and also for compensation of labor for removing and reinstalling (12 boxes of planks), of material fee for used glue, and of rental cost because of delayed moving in. Ramin started to deny everything too and argued it was our responsibility and we did not verify it clearly before our installation. He asked me to check the box and said there should be a label/tag on the box with a name of "Laguna". I checked again and did not find any sign of label. I called back and he started another argument saying that what we ordered was Shaw Renegade Laguna rather than Shaw Renegade Esplanade according to the messed-up invoice by himself. He changed his words that the step noses were delivered wrongly but the floor product was right and tried to establish new evidence in favor of him. I need to talk to his boss tomorrow for

I just walked through my home where Belmont has recently installed wood floors upstairs and downstairs, as well as some tiling in the laundry room, and I am ecstatic about the results! Gene is wonderful to work with, and the team he assigned for my project, led by Nathan, were outstanding. Their price was very reasonable (and I did check around), and their flexibility and experience really set them apart. These guys are a class act!

I had a great first impression of this place, but it was only because Denis Hickey misquoted my price, told me my time-sensitive job would be done about a week before it actually would be, and told me he would be there the next day to measure but what he actually meant was he would call us 40 minutes after he was scheduled to arrive to tell us he wasn't coming. When I discussed this with the manager, Scott, he made excuses for Denis about the shop being busy and didn't apologize. I don't see how this place stays open with such substandard business practices.

Just had hardwood floors installed - on time, on budget and top notch quality. I worked with Gene T. He is super knowledgeable about the types of wood flooring and has an eye for design/style as well. I went back and forth to the store to find just the right color and look. Prices are good and the workmanship was excellent. When my husband balked at the outlay of cash right before the holidays, Gene suggested their "6 months same as cash" so we were able to pay a portion and the rest is financed with zero interest. No shoe shopping for me for a few months 'cuz I'm on a budget! Anyway, the crew of about 5 guys (Henry was the lead guy's name I think) showed up on time, cleaned up after themselves, and were in and out in 2 days. I bought SHAW brand maple hardwood - one of the few made in the USA!

This rating is based on price alone, since I ended up going with another company. I also worked with Kris as the previous reviewer did. He was nice but certainly not helpful. He told me he had no wiggle room when it came to price, not even a penny. Hmmm not true. This is carpet, not Nordstrom, the prices are not set in stone! I have shopped around considerably for carpet and Belmont's prices were just too high. I ended up going with Incredible Carpets with whom I had purchased carpet from before. They beat Kris's price by 15% which was equivalent to $300 in savings for me. Mind you I purchased the EXACT same carpet and pad from the other store. Incredible Carpets has great installers too! Check out my review on them...

Not sure who the two people below spoke to, but I was helped by Kris Sheffield. Very cool dude and good customer service skills. There was one other older guy in there and he was very friendly also. He is very straightforward, helpful and willing to work with you. There are so many tile places on State College and I walked into well over a dozen of them yesterday and today. Belmont Carpets is one of a very few that really stood out and made me feel like a welcomed customer.
