We believe in carefully evaluating product ingredients, including screening for allergens and harmful chemicals. Shaw has been invested in sustainable design since the late 1990s and almost 90% of the products we make are Cradle to Cradle Certified®.
MOISTURE
An ounce of prevention:
We believe in design that will combat moisture issues in your home. With one of the largest selections of waterproof and water-resistant flooring products to choose from, we take moisture seriously so you don’t have to worry about spills and splashes harming your floor.
SOUND
Listen up:
We believe a home should have more of the sounds you want to hear – and less of those you don’t. Less noise equals less stress. Acoustics, specifically noise above 75 decibels, can impact your mood and overall wellbeing.

Cradle to Cradle Certified®
Cradle to Cradle Certified® products are verified by the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute as safe, circular and responsibly made. Cradle to Cradle focuses on material health, product circularity, clean air & climate protection, water & soil stewardship, and social fairness. Nearly 90% of the products Shaw manufactures are Cradle to Cradle Certified.
Green Label Plus®
An independent testing program of the Carpet and Rug Institute, Green Label Plus Certification verifies low volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions for carpet, adhesive and cushion products. All Shaw carpet products are Green Label Plus Certified.
GREENGUARD®
Conducted by UL Environment, GREENGUARD Certification verifies that products meet some of the world’s most rigorous and comprehensive standards for low emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into indoor air. All Shaw hardwood and laminate flooring is GREENGUARD certified.
